Nile Cruises Direct MS Opera

We were told when booking this holiday with Sunway Travel that it was "a 5 Star cruise in the biggest ship on the Nile". Sadly, biggest was not the best. The main problem was the food, which was all buffet and offered limited choice. The restaurant area stank of diesal fuel at all times which pervaded the food. A packed lunch would still smell of it when eaten hours later! Bar drinks were Egyptian spirits and beers only at rip off prices. All tea's and coffee's, except at breakfast, and water at all times were charged for. We were also not told the ship was geared for the Spanish and Bulgarian Markets who comprised 95% of the passengers. This meant communication problems regarding constantly changing eating times to fit with those passengers trips. Cabin decor was tired and several guests complained of bathroom leaks and TV's not working. Apart from that it was Great! A few of our group of 5 missed individual trips because of "Nile Belly", but except for the Karnak sound & light show, the trips were good and our Guide was knowledgeable.
