“Service? No way!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by htDickey1957 on 23/03/2014

'Please advise me via email of the problems that you are experiencing by email, and I will revert back to you as a matter of priority.' This is the answer the operations manager gave me after I sent them several mails. I am still waiting for their action... The priority must have been in taking the money from my credit card. My advertise is still not on the site, I am waiting now for 8 days. I also told them, when they sent me an automatic response, that their site is very slow. Had to check it before, stupid of me to be so naive. Asked them to give my money back but no answer. Is there anything we can do to stop these people, except not being so naive next time?

“DON'T ADVERTISE WITH PURE HOLIDAY HOMES!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 02/02/2014

A person from PURE HOLIDAY HOMES had seen my property advertised with a different company and offered to copy this advert to their website and charge me 32 GBP for 6 months advert which I agreed to. In the conversation there was no mention that they would take money out of my account after the 6 months at all. I would never have agreed to this. This was July 2012, but very shortly afterwards relatives wanted to live in our property which we agreed to, so we did not need the advert. The e-mail address I gave to PURE HOLIDAY HOMES was only ever used for advertising our property, therefore after July 2012 I never looked at this e-mail site until today. At the beginning of February 2013 I noticed that Pure Holiday Homes had taken out over 220 GBP out of my account. I phoned them up and spoke to a man explaining that I wanted the advert removed and wanted my money back and that I had not agreed to this and that it was illegal. I also asked the man not to take any more money out of my account which he should not have done as he was told to remove my advert. He agreed to remove my advert and said he would talk to his manager about giving me my money back and phone back. This never happened. As I hadn't heard from PURE HOLIDAY HOMES by March 2013 and noticed my advert was still on their website I phoned again, and once again got stalling tactics and no real answers, only a promise to remove my advert and again that they would phone me back. Once again they did not ring back. I had advertised my property with other companies and never ever had this happen, so feeling that I wasn't going to get anywhere I contacted my bank. Initially they thought they could help me but then when they investigated they said that the time-limit to complain to them had expired. The Bank did say they would make sure that Pure Holiday Homes didn't do this again and would put a block on this happening. I was relieved at this and wanted to pursue PURE HOLIDAY HOMES for the money they had illegally (yes, I checked - this is illegal) taken from my bank account. However, my husband and I run our own company and are not young and are retiring soon having had severe medical problems so the problems with URE HOLIDAY HOMES got put on the back boiler. But just to check, I went into the relevant bank about the 12th of January this year (2014) to make sure that PURE HOLIDAY HOMES did not take any more money out of my account and they seemed to be sure that they had blocked them from doing this and I was relieved. Having just had a major medical procedure recently I was only well enough to look at my bank account today and found that PURE HOLIDAY HOMES had once again taken money out of my account for an advert! Further still, I checked and still to this day our advert had not been removed, even though I told them to do this twice and they had agreed to it! Once again PURE HOLIDAY HOMES have illegally taken money from my bank account that I have never ever agreed to, neither verbally nor with any signed paperwork. Our relatives are still living in our property therefore we do not want our property advertised. We have even had revenue people asking for tax because of this advert. Further to this, PURE HOLIDAY HOMES have changed our advert. They have said it is suitable for disabled people and for wheelchairs. I never put this in my advert. In my advert I have definitely stated that there are many steps up to our property and that people should be made aware of this as the property might not be suitable for some people. It most definitely is not suitable to anyone who is disabled and there is no way a wheelchair could access the property, so PURE HOLIDAY HOMES have changed my advert and once again have been misleading people. Also I have noticed that from July 2012 to February 2014 (about 18 months)we have only ever received 10 enquiries. Compared to other holiday advertising companies that we have used this is extremely poor. We normally had several every week. They also had entered many properties as well as our own as being in the wrong area, therefore this could be the problem as people would be looking elsewhere for an advert in that area. This is all very unprofessional. If you advertise with these people, their customer service/help is zero, they only seem to be interested in taking money (illegally, as in my case) out of peoples accounts. Because my advert is still on their website they have me down as a customer (regarding advertising with them) and I have a property ID number with them but because I haven't used or had anything to do with this advert for approx. 18 months I can't remember my password, so I thought I might be able to delete the advert myself then at least no one will enquiry fruitlessly, but when I have asked 3 times for them to send it (as it suggests you can) again, one gets no response. At least I haven't had any so far. Once again their service is non existent. Having once again contacted them, I have written a long e-mail asking them to remove my advert once again and return my money and have given them 7 days to do so or I will take them to court - which I will definitely do. I am giving this information because I do not want anyone else to lose money or go through the frustrations I have had. There are so many much better companies who wouldn't dream of taking money out of your account without you agreeing to it. Don't be lured by a cheap deal and bitterly regret it like I have. Give PURE HOLIDAY HOMES a very wide berth or you may regret it.

These people promises you the World and you get only problems.. At first they offer you a cheap and good deal to put your property on their site but after a few months you find out that you have to expire your property... they don’t tell you anything but they just take off the money from your credit card... And if you think that they offer you enquiries... none in 1 year.... so think twice before you put your property on their site!!

I have had exactly the same. They took my money in May and I haven't had 1 enquiry, compared to about 5 per week on rival sites. I just checked my advert and it's status is 'not published'! I have just called to get a refund, but no one would answer my call. Is the company still trading?

“Over-promise and under-deliver”

written by on 12/08/2013

These guys are real clowns. I was told they would put my property on their site and on the german site, all for a really low price the fist year. I even got this in writing from them. It then turns out the German site still charges the tenants a 12% fee (as I had been told in writing it wouldn't do), I can't see the text for the international sites anywhere and when I call them no one picks up the phone. Life is too short to waste time with these people. I would recommend Owners Direct in the UK. If you want exposure to the German market, you are probably better off going to Casamundo direct. At least the pick up their phones.

Yes---I had a call today along same lines--charge of 5% of booking to advertise plus a £17 admin fee. I currently advertise with them, had ONE booking and some dodgy looking enquiries--from wilderbeast, Zan Bozas etc Also cancelled my advert TWICE by e-mail--(no acknowledgment) and TWICE speaking to a rep. Then had an e-mail reminder to confirm another years booking!!! Am looking at my bank account each day!!

They will ask you to put your propperty on their site for a really cheap price... Before you know they take 225 GPB from your creditcard and than you will find out you have a subscription and they will not pay you back. During your advertising you get only fake bookings.... You be warned!!!

“Utterly buggy”

★☆☆☆☆

written by ehodgar on 08/05/2013

They called me and convinced to list with them on one year free tial basis. I was shocked to get billed as I was complaining that my adverts display incorrectly. This year they've degraded the website by removing fine tuning the search options making it impossible to find the advert. In addition to that the website gets slower and slower, crashing regularly. No bookings so far.

“Terribly slow website”

★☆☆☆☆

written by slobodanv on 08/05/2013

Whatever other opinions the website is slow to respond and this year only got much worse. This far you can check yourself but it seems like over last couple of months the service is just getting slower and more buggy. My advert has been displaying incorrectly, wrong prices, outdated calendar. Takes ages to resolve any issues and it's almost impossible to update the ad once it gets to the system.

I was contacted today by Pure to renew my advert for my Apartment in Switzerland. Ourveysonnaz.com for the 3rd year. Free year 1 and approx £50 year 2 and as i was told today £107 year 3. As i explained to the caller that I would not renew as I have only had 1 enquiry in 2 years and the last one was on the date of renewal. Now i am sure you will not believe this but I have just had my second enquiry on the date of my renewal.... Seems strange to me!!!!!!

“Utter Rubbish ”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 05/04/2013

Take a seriously wide birth and book with one of the better companies. out that is professional. I am a home owner and I had no bookings through the site whatsoever. I said to the woman that phoned me I did not want to renew and they took the money anyhow. They do not return e mails, or calls and I have now reported them to my credit card company under section 75 of the consumer credit act. Do not take up their special offers and please give your money to a worthwhile cause if you need to give it away.

“DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 25/03/2013

I had my holiday home listed on this website for a year, and received no quality enquiries. I therefore, decided to cancel my subscription and provided sufficient notice through email. Pure Holiday Homes still took the renewal fee from my bank account, and despite forwarding my original email showing that I had intended to cancel, they refused to refund my money. I have still yet to receive my money back, and have received threatening emails from the website since. Please, do not use this website.

“Terrible response. Terrible service!”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 03/03/2013

I paid for a advert with the guarantee that if I did not get 12 enquirers I would get a full refund. The response was very poor, only 3 enquiries. A waste of time and money. However trying to get a refund is impossible I have written to them several times about my complaint and asking for a refund. They refuse to answer. I have tried to phone them but can never get an answer. I have used holiday rentals and holiday lettings and receive plenty of enquiries. Do not waste your time with Pure Holidays

“My experience of Pure Holiday Homes”

★☆☆☆☆

written by mikeygit on 07/01/2013

As a home owner I was approached by phone last year 2012 June time--and unfortunately was pursaded to take their offer. I have had ONE, very dubious , enquiry. I have been in touch constantly in 2012 about their service. Told they had problems and been bought by another company and were undergoing a 'restructuring process' and they had cut back on advertising as it was expensive etc. I was offered one month extra FREE advertising, but agreed on an extra 2 Months as it came out that the non advertising was about 9 weeks. The silence is deafening from them. i also suggested they updated their web site so Owners could see how many 'hits' our property had--something Owners Direct do. Will NOT be re-newing my advert. NO CONTACT--e-mails or phone calls from them for months. I wrote to the managing Director--but all he did was refer my e-mail to the guy I had already been talking to!!! I would have liked to have been told what their success rate was before I advertised and what follow up contacts I would expect.

I have been with Pure holiday homes for 3 years. Last year I received 7 enquiries...zero bookings
I've yet to get a booking from them.
I will only advertise our holiday home with a company who will give me a 6 month FREE trial. I got this with Pure, so each time they ring looking for money, I tell them I am happy to pay any company that delivers results and as soon as they start getting me bookings, I will pay the subscription. If they decide to delete my holiday home, it wouldn't effect me one bit as holiday lettings get me all my bookings
I would urge anyone to get a free trial with them

Thanks for your comment---I will give plenty of notice to cancel my account AND take a hard copy---and also re-confirm the cancellation nearer the time of renewal and IF they try to take money from my account I will threaten them with legal action. I have recently gone back to Owners Direct and already had booking and a good enquiry.

“DONT BE RIPPED OFF BY PURE HOLIDAY HOMES”

written by on 29/11/2012

I was called and persuaded to have a trial to advertise our Corfu House, very cheap for the trial period. I had no enquires and was horrified to find that they have taken a full years fee without my knowledge. The invoice clearly states that If I decide to continue I will be charged. I took no action because I believed they had to contact me to discuss my continuation. As I had no enquires I would not have renewed. I have asked for a refund and will report back. In the meantime be carefull of this company..

My partner was talked into advertising with them by their telephone sales team, and I wish we hadn't. Ever since their alleged update in June our advert has been riddled with errors of which when eventually resolved are replaced with new errors. Their representative just keeps the spin going and doesn't sort the problems out. Enquiries are minimal to not existent and we have received the Nigerian scam email twice!!!!!!! Company called offering me £1 for 3 months - i did not receive one single enquiry. They automatically renewed the subscription without an email advising they would do so!
Avoid at all costs they are a rip off and produce no results. They obtain money by misleading promotions and then just taker your money without authorization
Luckily for me they took it from a company credit card which requires a purchase order so i've taken it up with the credit card company

Writing fictitous reviews as an attempt to extort an unwarranted refund from the company with the threat that I will "continue to do so until I have visited every review site I can find" will I am afraid not work.

As has been explained to you many times.

1. The £1 for 100 day trial is only available on the basis that this is with an automated renewal – which can be cancelled by the customer. The cost of manually renewing 1,000’s of adverts is not viable for an online business. The email you received at the time stated Our renewal process is automated but there is absolutely no obligation for you to renew your advert at the end of your subscription. Should you decide not to renew your advert you can cancel at any time before the advert expiration date by emailing [email protected]
2. When you made your initial payment on the 24th July you received a receipt which detailed when the next payment would be taken and for how much.
3. Your initial payment was made with the company credit card.
4. You were emailed in advance of your renewal to warn you of the impending renewal, a proactive reminder to you. Our records demonstrate that the email was delivered and that you opened It. 1.04am on the 22nd October with your i-phone on a wireless network (Talk Talk) presumably at your home, when it was sent (delivered at 1am) and then 4 times on the 6th November post payment having been taken.

Your company Netware Solutions chose to make this payment and as such I would expect better standards than to attempt blackmail on a public forum

“pure waste of money - avoid”

written by on 29/10/2012

We advertised our holiday cottage with pureholidayhomes, even paid because the site looked OK. After about 3 months I asked why we hadn't received any enquiries via them, and they really fobbed me off. In a full year, we have had 2 people contact us via their website, one for a week that was already booked, and the second 'enquiry' was from another cottage owner who wanted to know what our experience was, and whether it was worth advertising with them or not. I told them not to bother. PHH seem to know how to market themselves, but they'e unlikely to get you any business. I wouldn't let them advertise our cottage even if they paid me. Also read some of the other reviews, all the ones giving 1 star (it isn't possible to give 0 stars or I would) are from owners, whereas all the 4 or 5 star reviews are from people who say they have stayed in cottages. I suspect some of the positive reviews have been written by the company themselves. I give them zero stars, they're rubbish. Incidentally our cottage has been almost fully booked, but none of the bookings are from them.
