I have written a very favourable review regarding the actual food however I never fail to have problems with the delivery service. I have been waiting in all day, it is now 6pm and I have just received a text stating that i changed the date of delivery until tomorrow which is a lie. So not only is the service poor but lies are told. Why would I arrange a delivery for tomorrow if I have been waiting in all day. Tomorrow will probably be the same with no delivery and more lies, its unforgivable. I had appointments tomorrow and the rest of the week but now have to cancel tomorrows as I do not want this very heavy parcel delivered to a neighbour. No doubt it wont be delivered tomorrow either who knows. The tracking system is useless and tells you nothing. I told several friends today that I was expecting a Diet Chef deliver and they said " you dont really expect it to arrive do you" knowing past experiences. If you have time on your hands and can wait around for days then diet chef is for you as the food and plan are excellent.

Just had a terrible experience. Stopped placing orders months ago & phoned DC to say I did not want anymore orders but they could keep open my subscription in case next year I changed my mind. The girl said fine. Monday I got an email saying they were delivering a box, could not stop it. DC had taken £195 off my credit card. Now they are saying until the box is back with them they cannot refund my money. DC were in error sending the order, yet they still took money out of my account. I am now £195 worse off on my account. Do not, under any circumstances, use this firm.

The first thing I opened was the pea soup in a pouch. I could not eat it. It was horrible. I tried a few of the dinners. They were just as bad. Do not waste your money. I guess you could loose weight by starving to death.

I used Diet Chef but cancelled after most of the food I ordered was substituted as some of the foods which I originally ordered were unavailable. This was back in January 2013. I cancelled shortly after my first order and it was at this time I also got an offer through clearing to begin studying at University abroad for which I obviously had to move away. As I was in rented accommodation I handed in my notice immediately and less than 2 weeks later off I went full of the joys of spring! Over a year later I was back in my hometown at my parents' house and was sorting through some of my paperwork as I was in the process of purchasing my own property. There were unopened bank statements among other unopened letters, naturally, having been out of the country and having had all my mail re-directed to my parents' house. As I was reading my bank statements I noticed I had been charged from January 2013 till June 2013 with the amount totalling £1215.47!!!!! I immediately contacted Diet Chef and was rather rudely told that I had cancelled in May 2013 which to put it nicely, was a load of old tosh - this was almost a year later that I was contacting them in May 2014! So basically, Diet Chef unlawfully took money from my bank account, refused to refund me and even more amazingly apparently "still delivered food" to my address up until June 2013! Where the hell this food went I have no idea but I sure hope someone enjoyed a good feast! To sum up, avoid Diet Chef at all costs unless you want them to take money from you!

I placed a review of Dietchef on Autopilot but wasn't very pleased with the response I received back from Dietchef. Yes I didn't fully read the Groupon offer before I ordered my first week's supply that it was only for 5 days. What I did't like was that I can't see any where on the review to add a further comment. The response I received was quite honestly rather offensive in its tone. I think whoever responds to the comments needs to go on a Customer Service course and learn to tone down the sanctimonious tone! May it was written by a Robot as there seems to be a lack of customer interaction. I won't be using Dietchef again due their high and mighty attitude towards customers once they have your money. It was interesting reading the many negative comments about them

Do not use diet chef!!! I ate one of the cookies which had an 'unidentified' object in it which I was later told was part of the cookie but the object was that hard when I bit down on it I broke my tooth, after over 2 months they have done nothing to provide any compensation, after I had provided an estimated cost from my dentist for the work I needed doing and also sending back the object I found In the cookie. Also the food is terrible, it tastes as it is ... Processed, synthetic rubbish!

i signed up for 12 months and my box came very quickly I found the soups nice the rest was a lot of sauce little meat or flavour this is my taste buds others may find it nice,I was surprised how much food there was I weighed it up and thought considering the amount I didn't like I wanted to cancel and was bitten by a £50 cancelation fee really £50 before this I used farm house foods no rip of cancelation fee there,it's in the terms and conditions some were? Sad really I would have recommended them but something that charges that it should be upfront not hidden away

I signed up for an 8 week package and paid my first hamper of £195.00. The next day, I saw an offer on Groupon for 4 weeks food @ £95.00 I havent had the food delivered to me yet and I would like to cancel my order and buy from Groupon (who wouldnt?) I have been advised that if I want to cancel I will be charged £50 even though i have not yet received the items !! Diet Chef will not price match to the groupon deal either

I thought I would give this a try as the tv advert makes it look like it is a complete meal that is provided rather than some of it and you have to provide the rest like carbs and let be honest its the carb side of things most people have issue with anyway. Snacks have been provided but when you actually look at the packaing its not that low in calories. The food is not very pleasant and a couple of times the same meal has tasted different or so bad it has been binned.

STAY CLEAR OF DIET CHEF!!!! In tiny faint grey letters you are told you subscribe, there is not warning if you need to cancel your order you have to pay a £50 fee. The worst customer service I have ever experienced! Avoid the advisers in the Customer service team, both are sarcastic, patronizing and disgusting they way they speak to their customers! Very unhelpful and just kept giving ridiculous examples. The food is disgusting and how they would ever expect anyone to subscribe to more than 12 weeks is unhealthy and unrealistic. This is not food that promotes a healthy diet.

Watch out very confusing pricing plan, I signed up all in good faith thinking I had a good deal getting 12 week plan half price I read the terms and conditions still thought it was a good deal I seem to have missed the bit where it says the half price is for the first month only. So I went onto the live chat. I explained how I felt I had been duped and mislead and of course they snottily site terms and conditions. So beware read the T&C’s over and over again because if you cancel there is a £50 fee again something I didn’t see. I consider myself to be an educated person I read things thoroughly but they still managed to get one past me. Diet Chef not only leaves a bad taste in your mouth from the food but the experience is a bit of bitter pill too.

I found the Diet Chef food to be completely unpalatable, and there were a number of service issues. While these were resolved, they shouldn't have happened in the first place, and I did not receive an apology. I've only been on the diet for three days and I've felt ill the entire time. The food even smells like it's off. Sorry, but I can't really think of anything good to say about Diet Chef.

While the food is ok, be careful when things go wrong. For some reason we don't get a time slot for delivery, so we have to wait in all day, up to 8pm. Our last package was not put on the van for some reason, so we waited in all day for nothing. No compensation offered at all, despite asking. Second delivery attempt was not successful either, despite waiting again. Because we are angry at that, we would like to cancel. There is a £50 cancellation fee with 12 week contracts (this is our second consignment). Apparently it's our fault it was not delivered!!! No card put through the door by the courier, no ring at the door. This day and age its not good enough not to be given a time slot, no tracking either. They have your money and will help themselves to more whether you like it or not. I doubt we will be re-ordering. PS. after 6 weeks I have gained 600gms

I thought that I would give diet chef a go but quickly found that I was constantly bloated...oh and no weight lose at all. I followed the plan after a month however after every diet chef meal, I found that I had bowel movements 1 every 2 DAYS! maybe!...which is painful and uncomfortable. This is basically processed food that when eaten over pre-longed periods of time surely cannot be healthy Before diet chef I exercised daily, drank plenty of water, eat lots of fruit and veg, and if I do say so I had bowel movements 2-3 per day I think I will follow my friends advise by eating clean and fresh foods ONLY and go back to my original system (above) - not pre packaged food that can sit in a cupboard for days/weeks/months. With this in mind I just cancelled my subscription and got hammered with a £50 cancellation fee (after the fact that my I had already paid £180 for the 'food')

More than one issue: -Price - £180 a month if you subscribe to the 3 month plan. Whilst this is not unreasonable, it is VERY misleading that on top of the £180 you then have to purchase dairy, fruit and veg. They do not make this clear until you have rec'd your diet guide (having already subscribed for 3 months!) or alternatively it is hidden away in ridiculous areas on the website. -Availability - having subscribed to the 3 month plan I let my order tick over as I liked everything I had ordered and didn't want to change anything. However, just to be on the safe side I checked a few days beforehand only to find about 50% of my ordered products were out of stock. Giving that I had already reserved these for my next hamper, it's incredibly frustrating to find out I could no longer have these. When I bought it up with a live chat adviser they said they would have just replaced the items with others i.e. they would not have contacted me for my preference. -AWFUL courier service - they left the box in the middle of the street outside my house on 2 occasions as nobody was in and clearly the safe place I had noted was not convenient for them/they couldn't be bothered. Fortunately, the area I lived in was not too bad and my boyfriend noticed the random box in the street outside our house before anybody with sticky fingers did, which brings me on to the following.. -POOR customer service - I moved house and changed my address on their website. A box popped up and confirmed my next delivery would be sent to the new address. However, the day delivery was due nothing had arrived. I contacted diet chef and after many minutes of mmmm'ing and aaahh'ing they confirmed it had been delivered to be old address. They offered no suggestions on how to resolve the issues so I took it upon myself to visit my old property to see if the new tenant had taken it in / it was in the safe place / had been left in the middle of the street again. The new tenant did not know what I was talking about and there was nothing in the safe place/street. I contacted diet chef again - it was only at this point they told me it MUST have been delivered because there is a signing receipt with a random scrawl signature against MY name. I contacted the new tenant and landlord who both confirmed that at the time of the signature the new tenant had not even moved in. I proceeded to contact diet chef again - after a few days they finally got back to me and advised the signature was that of the UK mail driver who has confirmed he left it in the green recycling bin. Now, firstly - I consider the driver signing against my name as fraudulent, and secondly.. if you have rec'd a 28 day box from diet chef it is clear they are way too big to fit in the standard council issued recycling bins. Diet chef insisted it had been delivered and were offering no recommendation/solutions, so I returned to the property AGAIN to double check in case I missed it. Alas, nothing. I contacted Diet Chef and requested a re delivery / refund as it had now been well over a week since my parcel was due and as such I had fallen off the diet and was having to buy more food.. considering I had already forked out £180 for their appalling service this is not really acceptable. All diet chef could say is .. it was delivered, contact the police. I have made them aware I certainly will be contacting the police and directing them initially to their delivery driver who has fraudulently signed for a parcel against my name however I still expect a re delivery, although at this point a refund would be preferable as ultimately the issues stems from them failing to update my address. To date, I have rec'd no response and I am currently in the process of commencing county court proceedings for the cost of the hamper, general inconvenience, food I have had to buy whilst I would have been eating the hamper as well as petrol costs for travelling to and from a property miles away from me. I have never rec'd such terrible customer service and would NOT recommend them to an arch enemy, let alone a friend or family!

I don't know if people realise it, but Dietchef sends you one month's food all in one go, so at the end of the month you are already eating month-old food. Plus they won't send it to you when you want it, they choose the dates, and even if you ask plead demand or threaten they won't change those dates. So if, like me, you don't stick to the diet strictly and want to start next month's diet , say, two weeks after they date they've decided to send you the box, you end up with boxes and boxes of old food and they won't stop sending you even if you plead demand or threaten. If I had known this I never would have signed up

As stated on our website, marketing emails and in our T&C's, all Diet Chef meal plans are rolling subscriptions, to make your ongoing weight loss journey as smooth and hassle-free as possible. However, if you do not wish to continue the diet after your initial minimum contract period (which is 4, 8, or 12 weeks, depending on which plan you sign up for), you can cancel your subscription.
In the period between hampers, you have the option to update your food selections if you want to change your meals around (contact our team, or click into MY ACCOUNT) and you can also delay your next hamper if you want to pause the diet.
To delay a hamper (or cancel your subscription), simply contact us at least two days before the processing date of the next hamper, and we can action this for you.
Our food is prepared, heat sealed in a pouch or tray and cooked in a pressure cooker at high temperatures, which is why it has a long shelf life and can be stored in room temperature. The cooking process is completely safe and gives the food longevity without excessive use of preservatives.
Because of the cooking method, you should have no issues whatsoever with the food going off after a few weeks, or even a month.

I undertand how tempting something like Diet Chef can be: lose weight, someone else does all the hard work. WELL IT"S ALL BULLCRAP!!!! I implore anyone out there to not let their desperation take the better of them and join DietChef. Now as a foodie, I can tell you the food is less than satisfactory. It's practically overrated microwave meals. I made the grave mistake of applying for the 12 week plan. Of course as any sane person (who isn't completely absolved in the hope that they will one day find they've lost a pathetic amount of weight through this extremely costly venture), would tell you that after you realise how useless the first month was and how bad the food was, you should cancel. So I came to cancel after only one month and I was told that I'd have to pay a ridiculous £155 to cancel. This was because they had already taken out next month's payment without my knowledge. When I spoke to the lady and expalined to her my situation, she didn't really seem to care and just kept saying I had to pay- barely heard me out! They claim it's all in their terms and conditions - I guess that's why you read the fine print. Just to add to the injury, they made me pay for the return and the box itself is extremely heavy. COSTLY RETURN + CANCELLATION FOR A PRODUCT THAT WAS TERRIBLE AND DIDN'T DO WHAT IT CLAIMED IT DID. So why all the happy reviews; I can only imagine people just feel good that they are actually doing a diet for the first time, but if they simply wake up and smell the coffee they'll realise that they haven't lost that much weight, and if they have, it is more than likely it is due to exercise and not the pathetic badly tasting microwave meals they send you. Also, make sure you have a lot of storage space because they send you the whole month supply at once. Terrible. I don't even write reviews online or anywhere but I felt a moral obligation to let everyone know what this company is up to. Who ever called it Diet Chef had a sense of humour because, unless the chef was the sufferer of some sort of illness or something, the food was not prepared by a chef- not a good one at least.

I managed to last only a few days on this diet; the ready made meals taste awful plus one never feels full... All the meals tasted bland and are too small to satisfy majority of people. I wouldn't recommend this diet at all...

Please PLEASE remove the advert for dietchef with the girl. Her whining voice is irritating. Plus what ive read i WONT be subscribing. I will just stick with slimming world...
