I had my new glasses on for a few hours before the end of the left leg caused pain at the top of my ear, while they were being adjusted the thicker ear part broke off - not Titanium but hard, brittle plastic. There is metal in there, they've broken just where the wire leg ends and the curved ear part starts but it's not a slip on/slip off part that can be replaced, it's all moulded together so break it and you'll have to buy a new frame. After all it's our fault if we screw up with them because that's the problem with distance selling - we can't post our faces to get them fitted comfortably and functionally but if they break while the High St Optician is fitting them to us it's their problem. I haven't complained to John Styles/Spex4less because it's caused enough heartache already without getting told some corporate bull on top so am puting it down to experience and splashed out for Silhouette Titaniums.

I ordered specs from you that I received last month. After three weeks wearing I have had to put them aside as I get tired and unfocused when I wear them. I am comparing to the original specs I bought at "Perle" here in Belgium for which I did also give you copies of the glasses specifications. I am now at a loss on how to proceed.

I must have made a serious error in choosing the particular frameless glasses from amongst the range. They are a nightmare to fit into the spectacle case. The frame legs are flexible and do not fold but insist on springing back into an open position. VERY frustrating. They are impossible to adjust to fit my face and are constantly falling off. The lenses are fine and match my prescription but the choice of frame was a big mistake and I did not note anything in the description that would have alerted me to the potential problems.

Dear ‘oldandgrey’,
Thank you very much for your valuable feedback.
I appreciate all you have said and can understand your frustrations when trying to replace the frame with the ‘springy’ hinges back into the case.
We offer this style of frame in response to requests from our customers. However, it is not for everyone and, with this in mind, we also offer the same frame style with traditional ‘pivoted’ hinges which enable the glasses to be folded flat in their case.
Perhaps you would consider letting us exchange your ‘springy hinge’ frame with one with a traditional hinge? I feel certain that this would be much more suitable for you based on what you have said.
If you would like to swap the glasses for a different frame, please simply return them to us, with a brief note and your contact details, and we will do the rest.
Kindest regards,
John Styles,
Spex4less®

Having had previously glasses made up, which seemed ok, but since my recent order I am still no further in getting this sorted. The glasses arrived with them feeling not quite right , but had assumed at the time, it was due to a slight change in prescription, as time gone on, had to go back to glasses from several years ago, as my eyes felt too far strained with the other glasses. Once returned them, received them back, but as felt still not right, got them checked by my Optician, who originally made up my prescription. As my eyes got checked again, they told me, that the change had nothing to do with me being unable to focus through the lens. Once discovered the note with the prescription info of the made up glasses, found that the PD wasn't correct, but they aren't willing to accept this. Total waste of money and time, as feel could have been else where and got them made up better. Would not use this company again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Thanks for the offer but the broken frame was binned by the optician when the lenses were taken out to go in to the Silhouette frame. The only part I have is the plastic piece that broke off.

The optician found the frame and I've found the part that broke off so I can now send all the parts back, what address should I use?

I sent the frame back and was refunded most of what I paid, Spex4less let me keep the lenses for only a few pounds as I had them fitted in another frame, I would have got all my money back if I'd sent the lenses too so I can't fault them.
