Not only is ESET the best internet security I've used to date, the after sales service is second to none with immediate answers from the company on the one occassion I had a small problem. The answer was professional and curtiouse. I cant think of anything I don't like about ESET. The user interface is both simple and informative and even informs you when the operating system needs attention! I did not make the purchase without looking on many forums about this product and only after carefull consideration decided to go with it and it was best thing I ever did for my peace of mind. Verses the rest...ESET is hands down the best. Nothing even comes near!

or those who just want the bottom line... I highly recommend this product/company.

And for everyone else who'd like the rationale/padding...

My PC's several years old and I'd been thinking about upgrading it as it had become increasingly slow (e.g. IE browser could take around 40-50+ seconds to open, the system would freeze regularly and I'd have to reboot) and I thought this was all purely due to small memory competing with modern graphics.

Nonetheless, my AVG had run out and rather than renew (for a 3rd year) I opted for this as its replacement and WOW, what a difference! (This is when I found out how much AVG interfered with my PC, after uninstalling it I got no more PC freezes and I discovered IE browser windows would open with in a few seconds!).

Upon installing ESET, the only problem I had was the software said I needed to uninstall all previous anti-viruses, which I believed I'd done yet it indicated F-Secure was still present (I've not used that since 2006) and through search' or 'add/remove programmes' I couldn't find it on my system; so before proceeding any further I wrote to ESET to know if it would cause an issue.

They replied the next day stating I needed to contact their UK Technical Support. My general experience of the computing industry isn't very favourable and that Tech Supp, if available, is pretty lousy unless you're prepared to pay a high premium. So, not quite knowing what to expect, I took a deep breath and I sent the same query to ESET UK...

...amazingly, within half an hour they'd phoned me back and rather than talk me through the process, the Tech. remote accessed my PC and did it himself, all the while explaining what he was doing and why.

After watching him go through my Registry removing the last traces of F-Secure the Tech then removed all the remaining AVG code which the AVG uninstaller had left behind (which, interestingly, ESET's software hadn't detected).

Then, as if that wasn't enough, he went through the remaining steps of registration and activation leaving me nothing to do but twiddle my thumbs as I watched and sipped coffee! You couldn't buy a better service than that, it was brilliant.

As for the software's running, there is a slight slowing of my PC when opening IE but nothing in comparison to my previous anti-virus software as it now takes between 1/4 to 1/5 of the time to do the same task.

Overall, I cannot fault either this product or the service that backs it up, highly impressed.
