“AMAZING! SO BLONDE”

★★★★★

written by on 30/06/2012

I am in love with this dye! Last time I dyed my hair it went really brassy but that was with a different dye. This time it is the blonde I want it! Almost platinum. The dye was really easy to apply as well and there was no mess, no fuss.

“no mess no fuss”

★★★★★

written by lil429 on 21/03/2012

i dont know what the wear will be or how permanent it will be in my hair but i do know that i love the fact that there was no mess in my sink or on my skin! i always dye my hair black and i have spent up to $30 on different at home hair dyes and have made so many messes and even damaged clothes, but i was so happy when i didnt have a big black ring around the tub!!! so no mess no fuss and so far i love the color. i have very fine and oily hair and it takes alot to make it look dry, so i cant say that it makes my hair look dull because its actually helping the oiliness.

“So Pleased!!!”

written by pebblesandkay on 28/02/2012

I was nervous using a new hair color because I haven't had the best results with others in the past but going to the salon was just so expensive and time consuming. I heard about this foam from a commercial. I decided I'd give it a try. It seemed simple enough to use. I was so very pleased with the results!!!! I am a forever user of this product! Thank you so much for selling a product that actually works as it says it will :)

“John Frieda Hair dye mousse one of the best out there”

★★★★★

written by alorad on 26/02/2012

John Frieda Hair dye Mousse although one of the most expensive out there is actually the best out there. I have been using home hair dyes since in my teens and am now in my early forties. It covers grey perfectly and leaves your hair in lovely shiny condition. It doesnt stain your skin or sink and bath and any you do get on you it easily comes off.. When you shampoo afterwards you dont get colour running out every time like other brands andit is the best home dye mousse I have tried and so far have tested them all that are out there. It does exactly what it says and gives you a salon finish.

“Awesome grey coverage!”

★★★★★

written by on 14/02/2012

Just tried this product today and this is the first time I have used a home colour that has totally covered my grey and has left my hair feeling extremely healthy. The colour came out a little darker than I thought, however, it looks so natural even I couldn't believe it. I am in my 50's and have been colouring my hair since I was a teen. The light brown/dark blonde colour I chose is far from being mousy, and better than any salon colour I have had. I am absolutely thrilled with this product!!

“Natural light brown- great result”

★★★★★

written by LoobyLoobyLou on 10/12/2011

I have used loads of different hair dyes. Tried some of the new mousses such as loreal sublime but found the results patchy. This one goes on so well and gives perfect coverage. The colour is natural looking an shiny. Just be careful to go for a shade lighter than you want. This is light brown but I would call it a medium brown really. It's a lovely colour but darker than you would expect. I wanted a medium brown so chose light brown as I have had this problem before... Ending up much darker than I wanted!! The natural light brown works perfectly for a medium shiny chocolatey brown. Very pleased with the result.

“Amazing!!”

I have mixed Afro carribean hair and I've been dying my hair for some time now. Mostly organic hair dyes, but I throught I'll try john frieda hair dye in 8n medium natural blonde,I was a little unsure due to the damage to my hair as my original hair colour is dark brown, but for over a year I've been using colours in a lighter shade such as blonde, but it always fades a horrible orangey colour. However after using this product I've been gettin so many compliments on my hair colour which is a lovely warm caramel blonde, am really happy with the end result, my hair feels soft & not damaged at all.. I'm diffently recommending product,Its a keep for me!!!.

Ok. first things first... I went to hair school many years ago so maybe that's why I like this product because I know how to alter my results. I was a level 9 blonde and was in need of a change but didn't have $180 to drop at the salon so I went for John Frieda looking to get a level 5/6 out of the end result. I mixed a 4N and 5N together because I know that I need to go a shade darker to get my results. I would NOT recommend an out of the box color for those of you looking to go blonde (always stick with a salon for lighter). But my color turned out perfectly (although I did only leave it on for 20 min because I didn't want it to get too dark). My advice: If you want your hair blonde, spend the extra money and go to the salon. If you want to go darker, this is a great product as long as you watch it so it doesn't get too dark on you.

Hiya, I was reading through reviews and notice you know abit about hair so was just wondering if you could help me. Im naturally blonde, but quite a dark blonde so iv always had highlights but as they are so expensive i started using a blonde colour perminent dye in clairol nice and easy and its really nice but im so bored of blonde now i want change! I went to the hairdressers and asked them to make it brown but they put a copper tone on it and it turned out a faded copper colour, it wasnt nice and it was a 'quasie' which is between semi and perminant so it faded to a horrible tone. now im back blonde and want to see how id look brunette, i just want change but my hairdresser wont do it and always puts me off by telling me how hard it will be to get my hair back blonde. im only 19 and want to try it whilst im young! i cant afford £130 for a good salon who will do it so i am looking into John Freida's new foam in the brunette shades. Have you any advice for me? Thank you!

I have tried loads of different hair dyes over the years and could never get the right shade of brown I wanted (it always ended up black). I decided to try the Dark Chocolate Brown shade and I couldnt be more pleased with the resulsts. The foam is really easy to apply and there is no mess or drips, my hair is now a gorgeous chocolate colour and the conditioner you get with it has left it really soft. I will definately be using this again.

I had colored my hair once before. It was a horrible experience, colorant was everywhere. Years passed and my hair was beginnning to get more grey than I could camouflage with straightening alone. Out of desperation I tried the John Frieda foam colorant. I wore one of my favorite shirts; really, to do the process. Not one drip went anywhere and the colorant came off my skin effortlessly. The ease of use was great. I have long hair; there was enough for every strand. I have dark reddish-brown hair and I used dark natural brown. The color result was almost identical to my hair color. No one but me knew I colored my hair. In short, I think the product is amazing. My hair is silky, soft, and shiny. I'm just anxious to see how long it will stay that way.

Brilliant, i'd never died my hair by myself before so this was a bit of a risk for me. It was so easy and beats sitting around at the hairdressers under a stupid machine for an hour!

There was nothing to worry about at all, i got the medium brown colour, which actually came out a little darker but it looks lovely now and saved me big bucks at the hairdressers! Definitley reccommend this product and i will be using it again! Give it a try

I had previously used Live XXL but as with all liquid dyes if u don't get help then u probably won't get a good coverage and it never came out the colour I wanted. I saw this hair dye and decided to give it a go, I was worried that the colour on the ends would be darker than the roots using a different dye but I needn't have worried it looked perfect and was so easy 2 apply by myself although I do try to have some one just 2 double check, there is plenty of foam to cover I was amazed as it looks like there won't be enough. I do believe that all hair dyes do tend 2 come out darker than the colour shown on the box and so I expected it 2 be dark, and it is dark but has a lovely red shimmer through, just as I wanted :) (I used the Deep Cherry Red) I am willing to pay £9.99 for this as I think it is an amazing hair colour, and being a ex hairdresser I've used a few :) Well worth a try!!!

I loved this hair dye! The mousse was a bit confusing to use at first, you have to tilt the bottle to mix it and squeeze the produce the foam. After I got used to that it was easy to use. The best thing about this dye is how much you get. I have shoulder length hair and I still struggle to cover it with other hair dyes. With John Freida's dye I managed to cover the whole of my hair with plenty left over, which was great because my hair has no undyed patches at all. Looks professionally dyed. Definitely buying this again.

“I am a natural medium blonde and have always been...”

★★★★★

written by on 30/01/2011

I am a natural medium blonde and have always been happy with John Frieda's range of products for blondes, so was very excited when this hair colour came out. I have been using various different brands of box colours for the last year or so, as I am a student and cannot afford the high prices of salons at the moment. I've never been completely satisfied with my results, and was hoping John Frieda would be different. And it was. I used the Extra Light Natural Blonde, and I truly have salon blonde hair. Normally, box blonde's either leave me brassy, or don't seem to make a drastic difference to my original colour. But my results from John Frieda actually look better than when I've paid over £100 to get it done in a salon.

I was a bit nervous while I was applying the foam, because my hair is quite long (middle of my back). The instructions said that after applying the whole bottle your head should be over-frothed with foam....and mine had no foam left at all. It had all soaked into my hair, and I was afraid my ends didn't get covered enough. I thought my results might turn out under-processed or not very dramatic, and that perhaps I should have bought two boxes. But after washing and drying it, it looks fabulous! Who knows, maybe it would look even better had I purchased two boxes, but I am very happy with it.

All I can say is, after a year of using different box blondes, my boyfriend has never even noticed when I colour it. The results have always been bland and never much different than my original colour. But for the first time, I got a "Wow your hair looks great!" without me even telling him I did anything to it. Yes it might be slightly more expensive than other box colours, but I'm willing to spend a couple of extra pounds for dramatically different results.

“After buying the product and THEN reading the varied...”

★★★★★

written by on 14/01/2011

After buying the product and THEN reading the varied and not so brilliant reviews online I took a long hard look at my straw like golden blonde hair with dark brown roots and thought what the hell. lol. I had bought it now and my hair that needed a good cut looked rubbish anyway!

I bought lightest beige blonde and read that your only supposed to go two shade lighter than you natural hair colour so I was expecting my roots to be slightly ginger after colouring.

I applied the colour and it was fun... So much easier and nicer than creams. Never ran, didn't smell bad and the bubbles tickled. I even applied it to my dark brown eyebrows. First I did my roots and after the stated 10 mins I put it on the rest of my hair for a further 20. It was mega easy to wash off and my hair felt so soft, even before I put the conditioner on.

After I dried my hair it was beautifull. The colour was a stunning baby blonde with higher and lower tones. The roots that were ever so slightly darker were a natural colour. Not orangey at all. It was shiny, silky and bouncy. Better than any hair dressers ever done it. Even my eyebrows turned a dark blonde so I get to keep up the pretence of being a totally natural blonde but instead of paying £80 for the privilege it only cost £10!

I never write reviews or comment on anything usually but I'm in total shock over this colour after reading the bad reviews. I even emailed John Freda to ask what the deal was with people turning funny colours! They just emailed back to tell me to call but I coluldn't be bothered as it's not free from a mobile.

Anyway.... sorry for going on so much but I do think this product is far superior than anything else on the market and thought you other girls should know. Good look!

Quite surprised that so many people are complaining about this product. I have mid golden blonde hair and used light ash blonde as my hair color had started to fade. Has gone a lovely golden blonde colour, a couple of shades lighter than it was previously and very shiny! I am very pleased and will happily try it again!

“I bought the Dark Red Brown 4R Precision foam colour...”

★★★★★

written by on 29/11/2010

I bought the Dark Red Brown 4R Precision foam colour by John Frieda from Tesco's, They have it on offer at the moment for £6.66, I did see it in Boots a few weeks ago for £9.99 but thought I would wait for the price to go down...

The instructions are easy to follow and the foam is easy to apply, the gloves you get are black and are good quality and the colour developed after 20 minutes waiting time, I absolutely love the colour, it covered my roots perfectly and I only put enough on to cover my hair and no drips... I did have nearly half a bottle of dye left though but I have shortish hair so someone with long hair will probably get a good coverage with the whole bottle. My hair feels lovely after conditioning but I used nearly all the tube so I don't think I'll be able to use the conditioner again to keep the colour locked in. My Rating is 5/5* and I would totally recommend this product to a friend or family, I'm definitely buying again the next time I dye my own hair, saves me £35 odd for a salon dye!!!
