Savals

People are lately only too quick to write a review when things go wrong. However I'd like to share my experience with estate agents we found our new home through. We all know there's quite a few rotten apples out there when it comes to estate agents. That is why I was more impressed by Savals. We (as buyers) were dealt with by an agent named Barry. Since founding the house we've had to do numerous visits to the property to verify this and that - which was never a problem and could usually be aranged for the same or following day.

We've had a bit of a delay when we placed our offer and apparently the seller did not want to lower the price. I've had a rough idea of how much the house was worth which was later on confirmed by the structural survey. It could be the agent who was refusing to drop the price though - after all they do work to the best interest of the seller. However I did meet the actual seller when I was there to verify they removed all the contents and I'm fairly sure it was actually the seller being stubborn.

Anyway, Barry has shown immense patience. I've heard stories from other people where agents simply didn't even bother to call back or similar. None of that here. The phone was almost always answered or I received a callback on the same or following day.

I also spoke to the seller regarding his view of the estate agent and he said he was happy from his side as well. Honestly I can't say I've ever felt being treated badly by the agents. To the best of my knowledge they were always straight forward and even took the time to explain all the issues we encountered in great detail so we were always clear of what was going on.

We've had a sale fall through (because of seller) on the previous property we found with different agents so we've had our fair share of bad experience - at least good for deciding what's bad and what's good.

Conclusion: I would recommend Savals to anyone looking for a property in south or south east London. They seem to be everything an estate agency should be.
