Used this agent to fully manage two properties. Month after month I have had to chase my rental payments which are always late even though the tenants pay on time... begging the question "why bother using Gardner's as the middleman?" Avoid at all costs.

Used Gardner Property Services, St Thomas Rd, Brentwood, for fully managed letting service for 9 months. The principal issue was that they were VERY slow to pass on the rent to me, after 6 months always 1 month late. They also pay by cheque which adds to the delay. I can only assume they have some cash flow problem and were trying to hold onto money. The final payment from my tenants was paid 3 months late after many complaints and the cheque bounced the first time! In addition they were dire at keeping me informed about issues the tenants had with some neighbours. DO NOT BE ATTRACTED BY THE LOW UP FRONT COST, DO NOT USE!!!
