Ikea Lyckselle Lovas Two Seat Sofabed

We needed a sofabed for the lounge for when guests stay over and my mum had previously bought this model but in the 3 seater version. I already had a 2 seater sofa in blue so I was pleased to see that the cover my mum had bought pretty much matched my old sofa. We had some problems when we bought ours however as it took two trips to two different Ikea stores (Croydon and Southampton) to get all the bits needed as staff as the Croydon store didn't seem bothered about ordering in the missing pieces.

Assembley was fairly easy although the folding joint was a bit of a brute force "get in you swine!". It looks really nice but the cover had a rather unpleasent chemical smell about it for over a week. So if you have a garden I'd recommend airing it out for a bit first or giving it a wash if your machine is big enough.

The mattress we went for was the cheapest but firmest which I prefer. It' comfy to sit on and we'll soon have our first guest trying it out as a bed. It's easy to pull out and makes a pretty solid feeling bed but we'll see ;) For the price it's perfect for spare rooms or as an additional sofa for smaller homes or flats.
