We received through our post box at the turn of the year Mervyn Smith's annual newsletter about the local areas property market/values. We have always found very informative. As a direct result of this newsletter it spurred us on and prompted us to put our house on the market something we had been putting on the back-burner for a couple of years. We had both retired and after living in the area for 37 years felt it was time to move nearer our son and grand children in Hampshire. We wanted an Estate Agents would not try and bamboozle us in to high pressure methods to put the house on the market. Everything was explained in simple terms and in great detail. After a valuation we placed our house on the market with them and agreed a sale within 4 weeks. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control the buyers pulled out probably due to the uncertain economic climate. This was a bitter blow for us and Mervyn Smith handled it all with great sensitivity. We were kept closely informed at all times and they found us another buyer albeit at a reduced asking price. From the time we put the property on the market until completion it took 8 months. We are now happily settled in our new home in Hampshire. If it had not been the personal service and reassurance given to us by this company we would still be living in our home in Ham. Well done and thank you.

It was nice to use Estate agents that had the old Traditional Values. When they came round to give as a valuation there was no hard sell just advice and let us know if and when you want to go ahead.They were willing to negotiate on commission and once on the market kept us fully advised on all that was going on. One of the conditions was they would accompany any prospective buyers around our property and they always did this as requested. At no stage did they give us any hassle. Mervyn Smith we believe had been in existence since the mid 1970's and has great local knowledge of the local area of Ham and North Kingston.It is not part of a chain and only has the one shop.
