Just Plain Bad

Terrible company to deal with. Took payment for Dyson Hover on the 1/12/2015 only to be informed on the 10/12/2015 that it was never in stock, I am still waiting for my refund 3 week later which they still have not done because this company does not answer the phone or reply to emails.

Stay away from this company, Would not use again.

The Best Appliance Company Online!

I have used this company twice now. They have just delivered my new washing machine (yes on a Saturday)! free delivery and a very helpful driver. The Hotpoint washer looks good as far as washers go and its just done a complete wash in under an hour lots faster than my old machine. well done.

Dissappointing

Ordered by telephone a Flavel gas fire - order taken, payment made, delivery date confirmed by giving our post code to check the delivery area and all was OK. Delivery was for Tuesday the following week. On Monday morning we got a phone call from Fires-cookers to say they could not deliver to our area. When we asked why they said they had to use a courier and as they had a lot of breakages with courier services they could not deliver. Not very apologetic either - just matter of fact. Prior to ordering we had checked that we were not in an exempt delivery area on the website and all seemed OK. Would not recommend unless you live local to the showroom. Incidentally the website does state Nationwide delivery. It would have been helpful if they could have told us they couldnt deliver before we placed the order. Not as if we dont get deliveries from couriers all the time. Maybe its time they got a better courier.

Quoted Wrong Price To Return Item

Before I ordered a Flavel gas fire I enquired what would be the cost if I needed to return the item. I was quoted £7 something over the telephone. Unfortunately the item was unsuitable and when I went about returning it I was told the cost was £50 all but 1p. A big difference and I'm not pleased.

Appalled With Customer Service

When I placed my order I was surprised to notice that their installation and fittings fee was only £20, particularly as I was ordering a gas cook. I decided to call to double check and someone from the customer service department assured me this included the installation of my gas cooker.

When the delivery man arrived on his own he informed me that the installation fee was actually only for the washing machine not for the cooker. Additionally when he tried to install the washing machine he told me he wasn't a qualified plumber and was unable to install my washing machine. The delivery man did know how to sort the electric supply for the washing machine however he hadn't been given a toolbox that morning. I had to provide him with the tools he needed to do his job.

Clearly at this point I was rather angry that I had paid for an installation service that the delivery guy was not able to do. Additionally I was now going to have to fork out a lot of money to get someone out ASAP to fit the washing machine and cooker installed properly.

When I called customer services their response was 'oh well we don't install cookers'. Despite explaining more than once that I had been told by someone in their department that I was going to have my cooker installed I still got the same response of 'oh well we don't install cookers'. I suggested that they should cover some of the cost of me having to pay a qualified professional to come out and install my goods this feel on deaf ears. I had my £20 refunded and that was it.

I felt mislead by their customer service and very angry at the way it was dealt with. The money I saved on buying from this website instead of say John Lewis was not worth the over £100 I paid to call out someone to properly install my goods. I would not recommend using this website at all.

Excellent Service

I hadn't heard of fires-cookers before let alone used them. I was looking for a dish washer and when I had chosen the make/model I wanted they were easily the cheapest on my web search. Best of all they offered a Saturday delivery for my area and it was also free. I received a telephone call from the delivery man on Friday to say dish washer would be delivered the next day between 9-10am. At 9:02am it arrived.
