Scam

I bought a voucher via lastminute.com in late Feb, the first appointment I was able to make was for 31st May!

I turned up for my appointment only to be told by hotel staff that the manager of SenS Spa had "done a runner" about a month before. I was given the details of the department at lastminute.com to speak to about a refund and a address for SenS Spa:

However, I am really unhappy that lastminute.com will only offer a "refund" of a voucher for their website. The thing that I am most annoyed about is that lastminute.com knew weeks ahead of my scheduled appointment that the salon had closed, but they did not bother to notify all those people who had bought vouchers. I get enough junk mail from lastminute.com, I would actually have liked to receive an email from them to let me know that SenS was no longer trading. I wasted half a day of my annual leave for absolutely nothing.

I am going to send a complaint to Watchdog and will write to lastminute.com head office about this, and I would urge all other customers to do the same. It is all very well for lastminute.com to claim that SenS are refusing to refund customers the money, but lastminute.com will have made lots of money in agents fees on this transaction.

Exactly the same happened to me. I was given the voucher as a gift from a friend, I booked for yesterday and when I turned up they told me that they had closed down 3 weeks ago. Why did no one contact us? I had to go along way and lose a whole day. Really appauling....

I have had exactly the same experience - took months to book an appointment then I found out it was closed!! I too have been offered a voucher for future use on lastminute.com but am not acepting this and will also write to their head office to demand a refund! You're right lastminute.com should have informed all those who purchased vouchers and they have made money out of all vouchers sold.

Hi, Sens spa has ceased operations in Hilton as of May 8 2011! I just spoke to last minute.com and they will give you a voucher for the amounyt you spent (to spend on Last minute.com) if you call them: 0871 2225969. Have your last minute.com order number handy. The lady I spoke to said that Sen S Spa hasnt been responding. They have basically taken the money from all of the coupons and upped and left leaving last minute.com to sort out the mess and compensate voucher holders...

I also booked my voucher using Lastminute.com I waited 6 months for an appointment after a number of VERY rude phone calls and emails from the

'Manager' I travelled a long distance for the spa as it was a treat for my friends 21st birthday only to get there and discover taht the Spa had suddenly closed down 2days prior to my appoinment!! No one thought to let me know and Im guessing they did not let any other clients know.

I am currently in discussions with Lastminute.com trying to get some kind of compensation.

Would give 0 stars but not possible.

EXTREMLY DISSAPPOINTED!!!

I'm so glad you've all written about this, I'm due to go tomorrow, as a girf bought for me over a year ago by a friend, like you, I couldn't ever seem to book appointments, then the first one I did they cancelled on me, and like you I will be travelling in from quite far away, at least now we can plan to do something else and hopefully my friend can get her money back!

Absolutely A Scam!!! Do Not Book It!!! My Wife

ABSOLUTELY A SCAM!!! DO NOT BOOK IT!!! My wife bought a voucher through lestminute.com, she booked a slot and after a week she received a text message saying that due to an IT issue the system overbooked people and they had to cancel their booking. Since then we have tried to contact them in all possible way but never answered the phone or emails! I am thinking of reporting them to Trading Standards, it's also a shame that Hilton is hosting them. Hilton will lose a lot of customers for this dodgy business!!

I wish we had come across this website before booking the voucher, absolutely wasted money!

I too made a booking on Lastminute, booked a slot and recvd a text 2 days before EXACTLY what u were told, tried again to book to no avail...TOTAL SCAM. I am now going to ge in touch with Lastminute to get a refund and let Hilton know as well.

Never experienced anyhting like this before...its disgusting that they have taken our money and done a runner.

I Implore Everyone Not To Book This Spa. 8 Of Us

I implore everyone NOT TO BOOK this spa. 8 of us went on Sunday for hair and nail treatments, some of us travelled a considerable distance - when we turned up they had NO booking for us!!!!! Even though the member of our group had booked well in advance and had tried to contact them all week. The Spa had all telephone contacts and email addresses but had NOT bothered to contact us to tell us these treatments did not take place on a Sunday - have to say a really really dire company - to be avoided at all costs!!!!!!

Truly A Terrible Experience. The 'salon' Was Dark

Truly a terrible experience. The 'salon' was dark and dingy and had no atmosphere whatsoever. The hairdresser cut my fringe skew and didn't even notice. When I pointed it out she said that if I walked around with my hand holding down the side of the fringe that was particularly skew it wouldn't look too bad!!! Even though I bought the deal from Groupon and only paid £20 it was a waste of money and I had to go to another hairdresser to correct the mess she had made. Would certainly not recommend anyone going there.

I Booked A Body Bliss 6 Treatment Spa For Myself A

I booked a body bliss 6 treatment spa for myself and my sister before reading the reviews, and I must admit once I had read the reviews I wanted to take it all back. However I decided to go ahead with it in the end. The online booking was hard however I eventually managed to sort out a time that me and my sister could be seen together. I found the people friendly enough, although the spa is shabby compared to what you would expect.We arrived late but they were still happy to see us. The treatments were perfect, the hot stone massage was lovely and I found the therapists talkative and really friendly! We asked for water before the spa, and were also offered tea or coffee which we availed. I would definately go again, and all those treatments for £45 pounds through lastminute.com was a real bargain!

Sadly I've Only Found These Reviews After Getting

Sadly I've only found these reviews after getting the worst haircut ever.

I should've known it would be bad when just booking the appointment was an exercise in frustration. Not answering the phone, reading their emails, responding to emails.

I only booked an appointment because I wanted to change my hairstyle so that my side fringe was more of a fringe. She didn't listen to me and when nearing the end of the cut I asked why my fring was on a slant she said that it looked better that way.

I asked that she fix it so that I have a proper fringe. I was her last client of the night and the "fixing" has made it look like I've cut my fringe myself. Seriously.

The blow-drying guy did try to fix it but considering his blow-dry was pretty poor I stopped him fairly quickly - especially as he didn't see that confident.

The only thing I can do now is wait till it grows out a bit and get a professional to cut it properly.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY / TIME GOING HERE.

Considering This Beauty Salon Is At The Hilton It

Considering this beauty salon is at The Hilton it certainly does not match their standards. The reception is some old wooden desk with three receptionist staff trying to squeeze behind it and who don't even speak good English.

Secondly I paid for a one hour luxury chocolate massage/wrap with hot stones....no wrap to be seen. The towel I was given to cover me was damp and the room was not cold but certainly not suitable for a massage.

The room was pokey due to the fact it had two massage tables in it and the whole experience...well was just not what I had expected..an amateur service expecting professional prices.

Would certainly not recommend anyone paying full price and to consider carefully any deals. Also they advertise certain facials etc on their website but when you can finally speak to someone they actually don't do half of them!

Absolute Bunch On Swankers....no Respond To Emails

Absolute bunch on swankers....no respond to emails and very difficult to get hold of...never respond to emails and answer their phones.

Please do not book this spa...absolute scam...Hilton hotel, you should be ashamed of being associated with a business that resides in your premises.
