Ordered Online An Item - Total Disappointment - Avoid!
Ordered online an item, no acknowledment received. Week later having heard nothing, created a ticket, informed 24 hours response, guess what? no response. So went on to chat, queried what is happening, informed stock problem and delivery will be 3-5 days ( after 1 week of ordering!).
I asked, are you sure? then told delivery 2-3 weeks?. Do you have time to waste? Misled? Dealing Company not knowing what they are doing? Go ahead by from this company. No? Avoid buying anything from this company. there are many other online retailers provide much better service most important they know what they are doing.

Misleading Info Given On Website? Gigaset L410
Outstanding prices, range of products, information available, and prompt and unwaveringly extremely courteous help from Ligo. A lot of thought seems to have gone into that side of things - I was very impressed.
However, the website design has certain issues which made using it to shop at Ligo feel a bit unreliable, and not entirely professional, to this customer.
It would only let me select from a choice of Mr/Mrs in the dropdown (no Ms or other salutations). It has no box in which to enter a discount code (even though a code is offered on Ligo's own site with an explicit instruction to enter it into the box on the checkout page) - you have to ask by mail for the codes to be applied after making the order, a quite unneccessary hassle for the customer (and, presumably, their staff, though it was done with very good nature their end!).
On one of the items I bought, which was under £50.00, under the price it clearly states in a box "Free delivery", and above it there's the text "Ships Fast & Free". Thus leading the customer to believe -- not unreasonably!! -- that shipping was free on this item. So when a postage cost was listed on the checkout page I assumed that it was just another error of the site and wrote to ask for it to be refunded in line with the 'free delivery' statement.
Not so! Ligo did kindly honour the discount code but, despite agreeing that the page/item does say 'free delivery', they could/would not honour that.
Turns out that IF you click on one of these phrases (which is not obviously a link and you cannot click on the second one at all) it says … on all orders over £50.00 … and, below the fold, at the very bottom of the page (… who scrolls down there to check the small print when ordering?!) it also gives that caveat in a tiny font size ….. and, ironically, under the big, bold heading of "Free Delivery"! Extremely well-hidden; most people would miss it (I work in web design; this does not meet anyone's idea of usability!).
On the FAQ page it says free delivery too, and it's only if you click on a tiny link in the middle of a paragraph of text, which takes you to a lower-level page, that you find out this only applies to orders of £50.00+.
Hopefully not a deliberate attempt to mislead the customer, just very poor web design? Ligo did say they'd refer it to the relevant department. (To date however, no change has been made) …
My concern is not of course about the negligible postage cost, but about breaking trust: if free delivery is only on orders of £50.00+, why not just say so clearly, up-front? And I feel that if you make an error you should hold up your hands and honour it and - most importantly - rectify it quickly so that other customers aren't subjected to it.
Like most (all?) companies Ligo only accept one discount code per order, and credit is due to them for being entirely honourable about making that the higher-value of the two without any prompting. However, wouldn't it be helpful to all if the page where the code's given were to specify that only one code can be applied on any given order?
Hopefully - with some amends to these matters - their website will better match the standard of their offerings and customer service and further enhance the customer experience!

Poor Customer Service
Gigaset s820a touchscreen phone stopped working after just over 6 months. I called Gigaset and they informed me that this model has been discontinued and confirmed that they had several reports of the touchscreen becoming non responsive.
I asked Ligo customer services if I could change to a better model phone and pay extra for an upgrade before I sent it back to them. At first they said yes but when they received my faulty phone back they would only send me the same model phone they have in stock which is no good to me as it will probably break again soon. I spoke with Trading Standards and they informed me that under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 my consumer rights are valid for up to 6 years after purchasing this product. But Ligo customer series insisted it was only 6 months which is incorrect.
I can't believe they are not willing to allow me to change to another phone. Especially as the faulty model phone I retuned to them has been discontinued for the same reason mine broke. Plus the fact that I offered to pay them more for another phone. I am not looking for a free upgrade. Their customer services staff have a smart ass answer to everything when you speak to them. They don't seem to care what the law states and that I am actually entitled to a full refund if I wanted as the phone is less than a year old and broke.
I am in the process of writing a registered letter to them requesting a full refund before making a claim to the small claims court as they have ignored my emails. Ridiculous that a customer has to go to these lengths and that Ligo have to be so awkward. But they have met their match. The 100% positive reviews on their website are a joke.
There is no way every single product reviewed has a positive review. I bet they remove any negative reviews of products from their site as soon as they are posted.

Worst Customer Service In The World
Don't know where to start... bought "long range" Siemens S795 cordless phone - which was so heavily promoted on the website, I thought it must work and bought 6 units for my house. Doesn't work at all - so tried to return them but I didn't contact them within 14 days and said I'd been heavily using them - which is impossible given I immediately replaced them for my old BT £25 phones which work better these (which cost me over £500 in total). Do not believe what products this company promotes, they simply are not true. And don't expect them to stand by any quality claims if it loses them £1. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, BUY HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK
Did Not Deliver
Discussed and paid extra for saturday delivery. After chasing them up by telephone ( status not displayed on the online tracking- smooth looking but useless web site) told it would be Monday. What was the point of discussing and them fully understanding my needs, agreeing and promising to meet them only to ignore them.
First and last dealing with them. Customer service is king ( Else where).

Excellent Service
Excellent service and prompt response. I received my order on time, though one of the boxes had already been opened, and the instruction manual removed. I emailed the company and received a prompt response and the omission was rectified immediately. The reaction of a company when something goes wrong is usually a good indicator, and it was on this occasion. My reason for only giving four instead of five stars is because, on their website they explain that when you place an order, you will receive an email notification confirming the order. No such email arrived; though when I phoned the company I got quick reassurance and details.
