I bought 'Venetian' fencing from Jackson's as I liked the style and they seemed to be only supplier. The panels are sturdy but the top rail planks were wonky and give a really wavy line if you look along the top of the fence from one end (my fence is 90cm but you wouldn't necessarily notice this if it was a high fence). I think the Venetian fence panels and associated components are expensive compared to other fencing options. Most annoying was the large, heavy and virtually indestructible pallet I was left with my delivery! If I's been told I'd be left with this large item of junk in my garden I would have asked them to take the delivery off it and take it back with them before leaving my address.

We purchased some Jakwall, which we'd used before. Delivery was very fast (although you are given a date and time with no apparent room for negotiation) and the product was generally very good. However, one length of Jakwall out of the 13 lengths delivered was the wrong type (the brick effect carved into the wrong face of the timber) and another had a huge knot in it, which fell out, taking a large chunk of wood with it. Knots add to the aesthetic but his was a monster and decent QA should have weeded this particular piece of timber out. I am some more to finish the job, which I will order soon, and intend to raise these issues at the same time. Hopefully Customer Service will redeem the experience but, sadly, I have to write this review now to get the £10 off my next order, so I cannot yet say whether there is a happy ending.

Order included venetian panels and associated posts. Great quality and can imagine them lasting the 25 years. As for the ordering, rather mysterious appearance of items I certainly didn't consider I'd ordered. Customer service seemed unable to consider there could be a problem with the on-line system (I later heard another customer appeared to experience a similar event). Rather took the edge off for me.

We have used Jacksons gates & fencing for 40 years. Generally good. Purchased 2 entrance gates, 12 & 10 foot. The 10 foot is warped but my contractor had fitted it before I saw, , so will live with it. Fitting ironware seems good.

My order was made on- line (for post + rails)+ delivery, although I did not realise at the time that the posts were not pointed. After delivery I telephoned the main depot (Ashford) and was told that Jacksons did not offer pointed posts ( the only option being square ended that you have to dig in).I found this surprising, being a farmer, and having our own post rammer. I was told that I could return the posts and be refunded, but that there would be a charge for collecting them. In the end I took them myself down to the Bath depot ,where despite having asked Ashford to warn them I was coming, Bath knew nothing about it. However the chap I dealt with there was immensely helpful - and told me that he could arrange to have the posts pointed (and then passed through the treatment process again) at a cost. I pointed out that it would have been helpful if somebody had told me that before I had sourced pointed posts from another supplier (which I had already done), or indeed at the time of purchase. So rather a frustrating process, as happy to pay premium for a good product and would have paid extra for pointing if offered in the first place.

Generally happy with the service, but a few issues. Despite being told there would be, there was no advance notification of when the truck with the materials would arrive. It is lucky I was at home when it did. The materials themselves were fine and as ordered, except that one straining post had about twice the cross sectional area of the others..a real tree trunk..could have tethered an elephant to the thing. Did not have time to go through the hassle of exchanging it, but I did not at all enjoy the extra time and effort required to dig it in.

I did my order online but to be collected first problem I was charged £15 delivery that has been refunded ,my brother called in to Stowting to collect the order only to be told the bollards I ordered you did not have the order should not have gone through so he choose some different ones plus 16 reflectors with screws the reflectors were short and there weren't any screws to fix them another phone call to complain about that so they were posted to me all in all not a good experience.

First delivery fantastic, arrived exactly on time, driver extremely helpful, and products were of a very high standard. Second delivery arrived unannounced, luckily was in. The driver once again was extremely helpful. however once I started to install the fence I found that the quality was somewhat below the standards of the previous post and panels. The posts had to be separated back to their 3 parts as they had been nailed together with the nails at diagonals so as not to allow the panels to fit. The panels also required attention. I can only think that with the demand for fencing being at a high that as the quantities made increased that the quality decreased. Overall happy but had to spend a lot of extra time and work on the second batch. It would be nice if the ball tops could be purchased separately and also to know that post tops are not required when using the capping.

We have Jacksons fence panels. They look good and look like get will last. Our contractor was less than impressive though. Make sure that ties use stainless fixings as others will rust. Also, be wary of the jacksons fence post caps. They warp and twist and split pretty easily (after 1 month). They just don't look nearly the same quality as the panels.

A customer of mine requested a certain type of panel and Jacksons was the only place I could get it from. For the price of the panel I would have expected it to be wrapped and not delivered loose as it ended up with some marking to it. The vague delivery date I found very annoying, with only 24hrs notice, I'm glad I don't order from them regularly as scheduling work would be so difficult. I would use them again but only as a last resort.

The bollards were exactly what I required at a very competative price, the ordering was straight forward. I was kept informed and the delivery driver was extremely co-operative. (Due to narrow road and parked vehicles, we off-loaded at the main road!) My only criticism was that the delivery charges added 48% (before VAT) to the purchase price which did seem excessive for four 900mm posts plus six reflectors! Sorry to end on a sour note but overall the goods were great, I just wish I had driven to Ashford to collect the posts.

The web-site, the service, the delivery were very good. The quality of some of the products was not good. The mounting holes were mis-aligned and were not drilled all the way through the material -- not one or two, basically all of them. One of the components was bent and could not be installed properly.
