“Closed down but taking offers for goods by Email”

I left a cash deposit on a Smeg Fridge that was due in the 1st week in May. I went on Saturday to see if it had arrived only to find the store closed down and a sign in the window saying they are open to offers on display stock. Ive tried getting in touch with no joy. Lots of shops are going out of business but I would have thought they might have called me to let me know - Suppose Ive lost my £250 deposit (should of used my card!)

“Did you pay on Paypal?”

I paid on Paypal for our washing machine. When it failed to be delivered and there was no contact with Jade, I filled in the details on the Paypal Resolution Centre. I didn't expect any response but Paypal has just refunded the money.

“gone bust last week”

A lot of people seem to have unfulfilled orders when this firm ceased trading suddenly last week I ordered one day and they closed the next as far as I can see. This website should be pulled

I ordered on the 16th and they took my money and delivered a faulty item, great! In process of trying to get it repaired under the warranty from Whirlpool which, hopefully, is still valid.

“THEY SELL DODGY GOODS, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM”

I purchased a Haier fridge freezer from this company on 15th May. Luckily, I received my goods (unlike some others who havn't) But I recieved it not working. I contacted Jade technology and they informed me it's not their problem as they have now gone into liquidation and that I need to take it up with Haier. It seems bizarre to me that they still have their website up and are still selling items!! £625 I spent. I am going to have to take this further as i'm not sure I believe them. I think they have been selling dodgy goods. Stay well away!!!!

well maybe its time that customers start using shops again instead of these rip off merchants. I understand that consumers want the cheapest deal but good old fashioned service from a shop for a few pounds more is worth it.

“Lost my money”

This site showed Jade Technology as 4.6 stars! Jade technology went bust (liquidation / administration...) at the 16/April So many people got burnt by ordering from Jade technology until the very last day (16/April); The reason so many people sent their order to Jade was THIS!!! SITE!!! THIS Site is VERY bad if it cannot warn us from HIGHLY dangerous shops. I HATE YOU - REVIEWCENTRE!

“Unable to contact them”

Expecting a delivery on 23rd April - not looking promising. cannot contact them on the online phone no or the shop and no replies from emails. the phone staff were really friendly and helpful and I did get a delivery on 16th - I count myself very lucky. also have paid by credit card so hope to get money back. This company has some poor reviews if you look on the site, but I can honestly say this is one iof the best Internet companies I have bought from I ordered it to be delivered in 4 weeks as I was away. The communication was excellent it was delivered one day early but that was a good thing. The price was the cheapest I could find anywhere. I would certainly buy again. No I don't work for them ,when did they stop trading as this was delivered to me on the 18th April ordered and paid for 4 weeks earlier and had a reply to an e mail I sent. I can only go on service I received which was excellent.

“appalling service”

I ordered an item from this co. To be delivered 2 weeks later as they only deliver to my address once a week. I arranged for someone to be here all day to take delivery and they did not come, did not contact me. Apparently they were out of stock. They had no intention of coming on that day and didnt even bother telling me they were not coming! Appalling service and appalling at making up for it afterwards. Obviously just trying to keep me strung along until they were in stock.

“Awful service”

Terrible service. Ordered a Gorenje fridge and waited a week for delivery, all good so far. Good price also. Received a call the night before delivery stating the product sadly had a dent in the door and they would have to reorder a replacement. Sadly this meant I would have to wait another week. I was promised it would definitely be next week as I explained it was proving very difficult living without a fridge for another week. Definitely next week I was told. Surprise surprise the delivery day came and went, no fridge, not even a phonecall or email. I called the call centre and was told the fridge hasn't even arrived at their warehouse yet and wasn't in stock so unable to deliver, it would possibly POSSIBLY ! be next week now. So 3 weeks!! Now this is bad enough but when I asked why I wasn't even given a curtesy call to at least tell me it wouldn't be delivered on the agreed date. I was told : "We don't tend to call customers to inform them this, we can't keep track of all the orders" !!! Very annoyed as i had taken the day off work to recieve it!! Needless to say i cancelled the order and went elsewhere. Refund was given immediately to their credit but this is the only positive thing I can say about my experience with this company sorry.

“Miserable & unhelpful delivery driver”

I knew what washing machine I wanted, so ordering was straightforward & the person I spoke with was helpful and professional. However, the delivery and install made me miss Comet, where the delivery drivers were always thorough in their work and friendly. The driver/installer was sullen, rude and didn't introduce himself, I thought this was just his manner, until I had the need to query something so I had to call the main office number and he became animated & jovial as he spoke with his colleague on the phone. When my partner returned home, he checked the install and said that the installer should have fixed the connecting pipe from the washing machine to the outpipe at the bottom of the machine, which would have made it secure & was the "correct" way of installing it. My partner tried to remedy this but was not successful, we are hoping that the force of water doesn't dislodge the pipe. However good the product is that has been delivered, I won't be using Jade Technology again based on the final person I had dealings with. I gauge customer service of a company from how I am treated; from start to finish

“AWFUL INTEGRATED DISHWASHER INSTALLATION THAT COST £120”

I was a bit afraid of ordering online but I was convinced by all the positive reviews. Also, this company offered the best price for the dishwasher I wanted. I was happy, all in all including dishwasher plus £120 installation it came out cheaper than buying a similar spec dishwasher from John Lewis. Ordering online the Beko DW686 was very easy and straight forward. Buying tends to be very easy, the problems start after they have your money, and this when you can expect nothing from their after sales service. Two men came to install the machine. One of them commented he would not follow the manufacturer´s installation instructions as he had learnt over time that you did not need to follow them but he had learnt his way to do it. As it was an integrated dishwasher they advised they had to cut part of the wood panel from the cupboards in order for the dishwasher door to be able to swing to open without hitting the wood panel, but that I should not be worried because it wouldn´t look bad. Unfortunately he commented he couldn´t finish the job as he had not brought the tools needed to do it and left the wood panel on the hall suggesting my husband should be able to do it or I could give him a call to comeback. Later on I noticed the dishwasher inside panel was dented. I called them to report the problem and asked them to put the wood panel back in place and they said I had to wait a week for the engineer to be able to come back to my house. It was very annoying due to all that time I was not able to use the dishwasher When the engineer came to see the dishwasher they agreed to replace the dishwasher but I had to wait and they did not know when they would have another dishwasher available but that I could use the dented one in the meantime. I asked them for a discount as a goodwill gesture for all the inconveniences and they said no. Around two weeks later I had my new dishwasher delivered and installed. That was around 3 weeks after I bought it. My neighbour was there during installation and she has commented that the engineers did not know what they were doing but were cowboys. With the time my husband started to notice that the dishwasher kept moving forwards and backwards. There are two metal brackets at the top which have broken, and the adjustable feet do not maintain their position, so the unit has moved down within the casing. This now makes the door bind on the wooden facing below the door. All in all a total DISASTER and it does look very bad. I wish I had bought from John Lewis instead. It is now 5 months after they “installed” the dishwasher and I have complained to them but they say that they only respond to installation problems within a week of installation. So I paid 120 quid for an installation that should last only a week according to Jade Technology. If I thought that Jade Technology was cheap, it is not, it has ended up being very expensive.

I have just read the most recent reviews and most say service is bad. However the last 2 reviews imply the company has "gone bust" - I've just rung the main number & its disconnected!

I would contact Trading standards as at lest if they can't help, hopefully they can direct you to someone who can - perhaps Jade Tech's administrators?

This experience has put me off shopping online for white goods, unless its a company like John Lewis or Currys. I only used Jade tech as they were a direct referral from Which?
