I booked a car through Carrentalbookers, on which my booking form/terms and conditions states includes:

1) unlimited mileage. ( they charged me an additional 19.05€ )

2) full insurance. ( they charged me an additional 48€ )

In addition I was charged extra for a Fuel fee, of 26€, for nothing, it's just another hidden charge, not stated on the booking form.

So, I ended up paying and additional 93.05 € on top of the quoted 14.38 for one day's rental !!

At the time of collection, I got the rental company Goldcar to call Carrentalbookers to query these unstated fees, and was told that

1) they would reimburse me.

2) they would amend their Terms and Conditions, to show the true fees.

Neither of these things have been done.

In fact the company does not answer messages, and the promises made regarding reimbursement are false.

THE TRUE COSTS OF CAR RENTAL SHOULD BE MADE CLEAR, AND IT SEEMS THAT EVEN HAVING READ THE SMALL PRINT, THE CONSUMER CAN STILL BE RIPPED OFF !

I have been looking for car rental in Rhodes and came across the website CarRentalBookers.com. Stupidly I did not do research or check reviews, if I had I would have not went with them.

They quoted me a good price of £73.05 for a Kia Picanto for 3 days in Pefkos, Rhodes. With around £9.53.

I put in my details and few days later I get an email saying they are charging me £89.96 with an £11 deposit. It only seems a small difference but I am worried now that they are going to charge more and more to my card which they have done to others.

I have tried emailing them, facebooking them several times with no luck.

I am going away in a few days so need to find alternative hire, but hope they do not charge my card for cancellation, though I have emailed them to ask them to cancel.

Just thought others should know of this website as I wish I would have done.

It is obvious the good reviews is written by the owner himself.

i have hired a car in gdansk (450pln for 6 days) when i arrived at the airport it turn up to be 450euros so 4 times more! i was trying to contact them to sort out the issue but no answer, they dont respond to emails! if you dont believe try to book car hire through the phone! no answer ! 24 hours helpline does not work at any time 7am, 9am, 2pm 10pm not at all! cant rely on them ! i have contact police on my return (internet fraud department) after 2hours of taking details they told me to email them again and ask them to get a refund coz they cant help me. so i ve paid 450 euros for a car (debited from my card where i was told that its going to be in plns)they refused to refund and then they told me that they can but it would take weeks. i couldnt wait as we were off to watch football game. dont use it if you dont want to get ripped.

if you want to hire a car and you want someone to rely on if something goes wrong you CANNOT use this company!!!!

Excellent service with a very less response time. I was able to book a car for hire without wasting any time in filling up a long line of forms. Once I checked out their site, all the relevant information I needed were right there. The website even allowed me to book through similar channels such as AVIS, PayRental, etc. I was able to finish the booking in just a few minutes.

I was happy to find and book one of my most favorite cars from them: Ford Focus which came in an excellent condition that could easily put my recently bought Toyota to shame. Not only were they on time, but the driver gladly waited a few minutes for me to get ready and come down. I was quite astonished at the level of customer care I received.

Since I travel a lot, I reckon I’ll be using their services a lot as I’m able to save quite a bit of money by comparing with other competitor’s prices. I am greatly impressed by their services overall and they surely deserve a 5 out of 5. Kudos to you.

It was a nice experience hiring a car from this company. The facility of hiring car online was very simple and easy. This was the main fact that I particularly liked. I opened its site and clicked the search tab. I got lots of taxi options that amazed me. They provide good choices of car. The car that I hired reached at my place at dot time without any delay. It looked in perfect condition and was very comfortable. The driver was also very courteous. Interestingly, they offered good deals as well. When I compared this car hiring service with others that I used earlier, I found their deals very reasonable. I would certainly recommend and consider this company next time I would be in need.

Having heard about Car Rental Bookers from various sources, I decided to give their service a try recently when I went on a holiday with my family to the United Arab Emirates and I have to say that I was definitely impressed with it. I opted for a pickup directly from the airport and all I had to do was give my personal details like name, contact number, date of arrival and flight arrival time in order to place a booking at their website.

By the time I came out of the airport after completing the formalities, the car driver was already there waiting for me with a placard displaying my name. Seeing this, I felt that I had made the right choice and even my wife complimented me for placing my trust on a reputed company. The driver was friendly and helped to load our luggage into the car. He even gave us useful information on the various tourist spots in the city as we made our way to the hotel. Looking back, I would surely recommend this company to my friends and colleagues for their holidays too.

I had a delegation in New York last week at JFK International Airport where I booked a car to the hotel from their website under Airport Car hire. The booking was seamless and the rates were definitely reasonable. One thing I was not completely happy about is with their cluttered website, just felt things could be better organized there. Looking through the best options and timings, I booked a Toyota Prius with delivery time at 9am, with a view to attend the meeting at 11. My plane reached on time at the airport but there was a delay of about 15 minutes in getting the car delivered. Still, I'd planned it well to not be late for my business. Overall I'd say a decent option but won’t go for this service in a do or die situation.

I had a nice experience with carrentalbookers.com. All I had to do was open the website and use the search tab displayed to make a fast booking. I was totally amazed by the number of taxi options that the website had to provide. So I started searching very remote locations and was amazed by the huge network the website operates upon. When I was done with fooling around, I just booked a taxi at 08:00 AM from Clapham Road, London. The taxi which I took was Volkswagen polo. The vehicle was very good and the driver seemed very courteous. I will definitely be using their services again.

This was the first time I had needed to hire a car and being under 24 the most companies I looked wanted to charge extra because of that. I was so happy I found this company, from pickup at Sydney Airport through to drop off the customer service from teh local agent was brilliant and the rental car I hired was new. I would highly recommend again, it's definitely worth the extra money just don't expect the GPS to be 100% accurate though not an issue if you have a smart phone.

I am not one to cast aspersions but I would go as far as to say that other reviews on here with 4 or 5 stars are falsified by the one man show in charge of running this shambolic charade. Especially since the other negative reviews highlight a common theme in which I can vouch for: Lack of communication, impossible to get hold of, abhorrent customer services and unfulfilled promises

I initially booked for a Fiat panda car to be delivered to my hotel in Rhodes for a few days. The website stated that the car was suitable for 5 people and had no real reason to doubt this until a day or so later curiosity got the better of me. Unfortunately, it turns out that the car is only equipped for 4 people. I am not sure if this is the fault of carrentalbookers.com or the agent. Nevertheless, I didn’t think that it would be too much of a problem to get the car upgraded to a VW Polo or similar and so I sent an email to carrentalbookers like their website suggests. How wrong was I? This is where the real trouble began!!

After no acknowledgment of my email I tried ringing carrentalbookers several time before someone eventually answered. After a brief discussion I was advised to resend the email and that it would be dealt with the following day and he would get in touch. Weeks came and went and still no response to my booking.

More emails and several unanswered phone calls later I eventually got through to the same person who informed me that the request would cost me an extra £5 a day despite their website saying that the overall price would only increase by £4 altogether. He stated that the current agent couldn’t fulfil this request (despite the website saying they could) and he had to go to a different agent. Obviously I stated that this wasn’t acceptable and would not have happened if the issue was resolved in the first instance. He eventually conceded and stated that the £5 extra a day would be waived. We finished the conversation with him saying he would send me the new documentation (although my booking number would remain the same)

Another week later and no documents received I sent another email and made several unanswered phone calls. When the usual person eventually answered I was informed that he was out of the office at the moment but, proceeded to take my booking and promised he would call me back later. Needless to say, this phone call never materialised.

I have sent another couple of emails that I doubt will ever be read and tried to phone him numerous times but to no avail. That leads me to where I am at present in this ongoing sager.
