Trying to claim back unaffordable charges and interest for some old loans have asked 5 times for a statement of account and no response customer service (non exsistent)

I have never used this company and they have been calling my old address , which happens to be my parents address and sending letters claiming I have missed payments . I have spoken with them as they have got my mobile from somewhere and all the details they have for me ( including bank details and email ) are from over 2 years ago and they claim I have made the claim this year . I have reported them to watch dog as they are either trying to get me to give them money or they have approved a loan for someone claiming to be me . I would advise to start well clear of them .

I've had loans on and off with Payday UK for over 20 years and have never missed a payment. I even paid my last loan off early. Just applied again and even though my circumstances have not changed, I was declined! Disgusting customer service. No loyalty to their good customers! Avoid!

I took out a loan with them a few years ago, I was late in repaying but did pay which shows on my credit file as paid and satisfied this was back in 2013. I rang payday uk (march 2017)to see if they would remove it from my credit file only for them to say it was passed to debt collection company and is still owing!!! I could not believe this I rang the company they said it was passed too and it does not even exist. They are the ones who updated my credit file as paid because I know it was, I am now in dispute with them through experian. They are a disgusting company and will try and ruin your credit and take your money. DO NOT USE THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Applied for a loan on a friday and get approved and they say funds will be in your account within two hour... Great you think!!! Not at all as wait two hours and no funds deposited only to then recieve email saying i need to send a document in for final processing... Do this within half an hour and ring to confirm this has been recieved and they confirm it has and say funds will be now deposited. Wait all day and no funds recieved so call them on the saturday to be told systems are now down and will have to wait till the monday till its fixed over the weekend. Call back today monday and they say systems are still playing up and will recieve email/call as an when fixed. Has been an absoloute joke from the first moment of applying and never had so much hassle from a company... They are missleading in everyway possible

This is the company for you if you want to fill a application form, told you're approved and couple of hours later be told your loan application is unsuccessful. Either you're approved or not PaydayUK. If wasting your time is your thing PaydayUK is for you.

I complained to PDUK about unaffordable and irresponsible lending on 1/4/2016. they acknowledged my complaint, and have ignored me ever since. I have chased the complaint many times, and been told that they are still dealing with complaints from January, so I dont expect any resolution soon. I have passed the complaint to the FOS, but so far PDUK have also ignored the ombudsman. I am certainly not alone. PDUK seem to have ingrained irresponsible lending practices that have gone on for many years. They should be using other decisions made by the ombudsman about this, but they treat their customers with utter contempt, and seem to find it funny to drag things out for as long as possible. If you have a complaint about irresponsible lending, escalate it to the ombudsman, as PDUK simply will not provide a resolution unless they are force to by the regulator. Dreadful company to deal with, dont expect to be treated sympathetically by them. They have a habit of laughing at you if you call them for anything, and simply ignore any emails.

After being a customer of theirs for years I put a complaint in as I had been given these loans whilst in financial difficulties which has made my situation worse and my finances have spiralled out of control, eventually having to borrow month by month to survive. They had 8 weeks to resolve the complaint 10 weeks later and still haven't resolved it!! Ignore my emails will not respond to any correspondence I've sent then so I've now sent it to the ombudsman. They dont follow there own company policy regarding complaints! Appalling customer service and unlawful lending the company is a joke

I would have left a really good review, as I have had loans from these guys before and it was always easy and straightforward..However, this morning I applied for £100 at 9am, got approved as always, signed everything online..and 7 hours later I still haven't got the money in my account...No email..nothing. I am less than impressed now. Never had any problems before, but lately I have read reviews that this happens to a lot of people. So, I am sorry but I can't recommend these guys any more, go to Peachy, they transferred the cash in one hour.

Don't trust these sharks....They just want to make money out of poor desperate people, they don't care if they hurt you along the way. Customer service lie, make up stories then blame the customer.... AVOID THESE !!!!!!!!

When you apply its says you are approved it even asks you sign the agreement and says the funds will be deposited in an hour....., only later do you find you are infact preappoved subject to final checks. Then you find yourself waiting for days with no information at all. I think they should 1. Say you are preapproved not approved and 2. Tell you if you havent passed credit checks and not just leave you hanging on with no correspondence or clarification. Very poor company based on point highlighted.

Agreed... says your approved and funds will be in your account within two hours...
Hours later no funds depisited and then receive email asking for proof of id to be sent...
Do this withing an hour then call back to be told your application is in a que and will be processed on a as and when basis...
This is three days now since applied and now bee told systems are not working correctly...
Bad application process and very missleading information provide aswell as very poor customer service...

I've used them twice now for different amounts. First time took a little time to go through, but had the money promptly the next day. Managed to early settle which wasn't a problem. Second time I used them was simple. Just applied for the amount, contracts were emailed and the money was in my account within 3 hours. Sometimes they are tough to get hold of, but when I had an issue the person I spoke to sorted it out quickly and efficiently with no problems (My debit card had changed, and I forgot to inform them). All in all, do what they say on the tin.

James226's Response to Jackster123's Review

I have had several dealings in the past and recently with The FOS and payday uk amongst other lenders. Whilst I do not have any legal or professional qualification, I have learned a great deal regarding consumer law and debt collection guidlines and the protocols regarding loan decisoin making including the payday sector. The company you complain about must first issue their "final response" to you in writing before you are able to go to The FOS. However, the time scale for their reply is 8 weeks from the date of complaint, again the compant may extend this date by writing to you in 14 day blocks with updates for what is considered a reasonable lenght of time. about 12 weeks in total. If the business has not updated you withint the 8 wk period at all or it has gone on for over 123 weeks you can register you complaint with The FOS. I can assur you, any busines being investigated by The FOS at any time regarding a legitimate complaint must and is required in law to respond to the compalint. The FOS do have powers and can use strong enforcement powers with The FCA to make a business respond or face very serious penelties. I have experienced the use of this with a payday lender and believe me, they very quickly respond. Of course once a business are in this situation, it is very likely your complaint will be upheld and a fair reasonable amount of compensation can be claimed by order of the finding if upheld. PDUK in my experinece over a couple of years have become more and more "ambiguose" and underhand with their lending decisions and one minuet lending without doing affordability checks then decling the next time round for no apparent reason. If you believe they have loaned to you irresponsibly, you will have to be able to back this up with tangible evidnece, proof and say why you asked to borrorow in the first place? It is possible for this to be a "legal" reason to have loan "written off" but you must be able to show you were under real stress and needed money to pay off other loans you may have been chased for. If your credit report showes finacial problems and missed payments, or recorded recent defaults, at the time of application, you have a case for sure, as this must be used for a lending decision, Also they should ask you for proof of income a bank staement showing all deposites and outgoings over at least a month period. Hope this helps.
