Hiring Randal Shane Rhoden to take pictures of our wedding was the worst idea ever. Rude, unprofessional, pushy, and narcissistic. If we had just made one google search of the name in Lufkin, Texas we would have known everything we needed to know about the man. Do not call on this business.

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding a couple months ago for one of my very good friends and I recently texted her asking why she has still not posted a single photo from her wedding online.. Well, I was informed that the photographer (who not a single person in the bridal or groom's party liked) would not allow her to. He apparently has all copyright control over the images and told her that for every photo she posts online he is going to fine her $1,000!!! He also didn't post any photos on his website or facebook for her to be able to share so none of her friends or family can even see the pictures. It is ridiculous that she would pay thousands of dollars to not even get to share the pictures from such a big day in her and her husbands lives. But the most ridiculous part is that she is been trying to contact him for days about this whole issue and he has been reading her messages and refuses to reply. I would not recommend Shane to anyone! I have been around many photographers and have never heard of these things being an issue.. You would think if someone paid you that much money, you would want to make them happy, but I guess not.. Not to mention all the free advertising he is missing out on by refusing to let people post his photos.

He was rude to not only me, the bride, but the rest of my wedding party and guests! Everybody there was talking about how rude he was! I was also not happy with the pictures I received from him! There were more pictures if the guests then of the bride and groom... And there were none of the daddy daughter dance or of the family in attendance. His prices are outrageous as well! He charged me one price for an 8x10 and then I get online to my gallery and it's a whole different price online! I would not recommend him to anybody!

I liked his work a lot, but wanted to make sure he was a good fit for me and my family. He lets on that he is a great Christian guy, but in reality he is a criminal. All I had to do was search his name and a mug shot came up. I don't think letting him be the one to take our family photos would be wise after seeing that he falsely arrested someone. I hopefully will find an honest photographer.

He will be more than happy to take photos of you with your loved one, so long as you're not gay. I got denied. At first I tried to be understanding about it but his reason was ... well, aggravating. He 'supports equality' but will exercise his right as a texan to refuse service based on sexual orientation. He then had the nerve to tell me, "but i will be more than happy to do self-potraits or family portraits.' NO THANKS! Just like he doesn't want to 'endorse' it I refuse to do business with those who don't support equality.

I recently used Shane for our photos and he was extremely unprofessional. He feels that if the customer wants to make changes it creates unnecessary work. Therefore, please shop around if your looking for a courteous and respectful photographer.

I found Shane through Googling photographers in the East Texas area...his website sold me on him, and also his price. He even let me book bridals with him for free. And that was fun, but on the wedding day it was a different story.

First of all, he showed up in jeans, a t-shirt and sneakers...are you serious?...To a wedding where he would be walking in-front of everyone. He got plenty of wonderful pictures of my husband and his groomsmen (which they all still talk about how horrible he was to them during their shoots), but the pictures he got of me and my bridesmaids were horrible. He also is not good at taking large group pictures...so if you have a large family...go another direction.

Shane is remembered by my wedding party to be a pain in the butt and unprofessional. The only thing I was dissatisfied about regarding the quality of pictures he took were the large group pictures and the number of posed pictures he got of my husband and I (only 5)...we also do not have a picture of us looking at the camera while cutting our cake.

He also did not present to us a contract about what to expect with customer service after the wedding...there was none. I would have been much more satisfied if he had been more worried about making us happy than appearing like a fashion photographer (in jeans)

I intially booked with Shane since I knew him for several years. I paid the deposit and spoke with him several times prior to our engagement session. A month before our engagement session he called me and stated the he booked another wedding on our date even though we had already paid our deposit. Shane informed me that since this other couple was willing to pay him more he already accepted their offer and booked them as well. I also had some problems with him when we were discussing our ideas for the wedding. He completely disagreed with everything I had to say and acted as if it was his wedding and not mine. Another friend of mine had the same problem with him as the previous review. She booked him for her wedding around the same time as me and he actually did photograph her wedding. He refused to take any of the pictures she asked for, and instead of taking pictures as they were being introduced as husband and wife, he was making a plate and stuffing his face! Oh and by the way he was arrested for impersonating a police offer and is facing felony charges. So if you would like a criminal as your photographer, then Shane Rhoden is right for you!!
