Bought this Fox Flux MTB Helmet in 2008, as it has excellent rear protection, the back goes down the back of the head further, something that is a little neglected in other helmets. Starting at the front, though, the visor is excellent, just the right length to keep the worst of the sun away whilst not getting in the way of visibility.
The Vents are large and plentiful, the airflow is good, though the back of the head does sweat a little more due to being extended.
The retensioning unit is good, very easy to use. One criticism was that it snapped after about 5 or 6 rides but, even though i did not bother to ask until this year, fox sent a new retensioning unit across for free, this is excellent customer service, very rare!!
Overall the unit was good value for money (I think i paid about £50 for mine), the only real down side was the front fit, it does feel a little uncomfortable once wet with sweat, does not wick away. Having said that, few lids ever do. I would recommend this to anyone that requires excellent all round protection.
