I bought a car from this garage a couple months ago. All seemed ok for one day until I noticed some serious issues with the car; - The handbrake doesn’t work at all on inclines - ABS system doesn’t work - Loud mechanical banging when in motion - Oil leaks from engine After weeks pleading with Motorseeker to take the car in to be fixed they reluctantly agreed. I use my car for work and was told it would take only two – three days….. Nine days later after absolutely no contact I managed to get a response and was told the car would be ok to pick up the following day. To my dismay none of the issues had been resolved, not even remotely better. I have no clue what they were doing with my car for nine days. If you’re thinking of buying a car from this company, don’t, simply don’t. I don’t know how a company can sell a car in good conscious in the state mine was in, and then do nothing about it once the problems were bought to light. Absolutely disgraceful company.

Bought a Volvo C30 froma guy at Motorseeker, all was well until 5 weeks later, car wouldn't start, had to pay for recovery, diagnostics of all descriptions, a new intercooler hose, an ECU software update, and worst of all, I find out from my local garage that the headlights in the vehicle are illegal, they had a blue tint. Spoke with motorseeker, told me none of it is their problem, I only had a pathetic 30 day warranty, however the sale of goods act states that any fault found within the first 6 months is deemed to be there at the point of sale, they have refused to pay any money back to me and have been very, very unhelpful, they have dismissed the sale of goods act entirely and have misinterpreted what the law states, and worst of all have been very rude about the whole process. Stay away from this dealer, and in particular the person I dealt with, he is extremely arrogant and dismissive and thinks the problem goes away if he talks over you. 7k for a car that doesn't start, and 800 in repairs so far. Stay well away people.

The car was miss diagnosed in our opinion by his local mechanic
We ended up giving £300 towards the £700 pounds repair
The customer used his local garage not a Volvo dealer that we suggested.
700 seems steep to test and replace EGR valve
Shame he was not closer for us to sort out this problem

Just to make sure facts are accurate I feel a lengthy reply is required:
You only gave me half the money after I filed a formal complaint with the finance company you deal with, the car was not misdiagnosed as the problem has not been recurring since I had the ECU software update, I have since had it checked again by a specialist and it was apparently remapped at some point. This kind of information should be available to a buyer at point of sale. It wasn't. Your attitude towards me during my complaint was appalling at best, and you were constantly looking for excuses to not deal with situation. Sending it to a Volvo garage was something I was happy to do, however not prepared to pay for the recovery all the way to my nearest one, in Doncaster which I discussed with you several times.
The garage I used is a Bosch service approved garage with an excellent reputation and proven track record at dealing with complicated faults on cars.
They didn't change the EGR valve, they updated the ECU software and replaced a faulty inter cooler hose and that 700 that you quote is incorrect, it cost me over 800 in total including the parts, labour, recovery and diagnostics.
It is also worth noting I have had several more faults with this car since, a faulty alternator which needed to be replaced, and a battery and a totally rotten CV joint on the drive shaft to name just a few all within 6 months of buying the car.
I can assure all readers of this review that that garage in question are probably very good with everyday complaints from Range Rover drivers, however they gave me absolutely no help or assistance and no offers of compensation until I went through a lengthy and time consuming complaint process through an independent investigator.
I would suggest in future your cars are checked more thoroughly and your after sales care is improved with regards to basic customer service. Don't get me wrong the buying process was very smooth and hassle free, non pushy salesman and lovely environment to buy a car. Its just literally everything else that let you down.
