Appear to have gone to ground. Being looked into by Paypal, I am awaiting refund from them. Phones did not work and emails bounced back whenever I tried to contact them. There is no serviceIf you paid through Paypal start a claim.

This company has emailed me confirming details ,and has also taken payment but has not provided me with the any deeds. I have tried calling every number listed on their website but each one is unavailable , they are not accepting emails , not responding to the many call back requests either .A Disgrace , just taking money and ripping people off.They are represented by two celebrities Eamonn holmes and Lorraine Kelly , I'm amazed they have put their names to such a disgraceful company

Payment was taken on 9th March but no documents, all the phone numbers don't work, emails bounce back and live chat is a false link, I have contacted trading standards and they are launching investigation and my bank are looking into reversing my payment, on the website reviews.co.uk they have issued a statement saying this company have not been heard from since 12 feb 2015,

Paid outright on March 8th - recieved all the emails confirming the details etc - then nothing - Fake 'Live Chat' - Telephone Numbers both out of order and no contact from them whatever... Stay away - i will have to try and get my money back now

I applied last weekend and my service was completed on Monday 9th March. It's been a full week and I haven't received my documents yet nor can I get in touch with them via telephone/email. It seems like the service was legitimate at first (it's been endorsed by people like Lorraine Kelly) . Thankfully, my bank have been fully cooperative and if I do not receive my document in the next couple of weeks, which I very much doubt I will, my bank will be claiming my money back for me. Please use other websites and make sure you read up on the reviews. This has taught me a major lesson so I will be going to a solicitor instead.

I tried to change my name using this site (I am a trans person). They were quite happy to take my money, but I have had nothing from them at all. I checked the website, which informed me that my documents had been sent out. Since I had not had them, and they claim to use a signed-for delivery service, I tried to e-mail my (named) Deed Poll Officer to find out what was going on. I got an automated e-mail in reply to say that the e-mail service had been axed to save costs, and if I clicked on a link in the e-mail it would instead take me to a free phone number. What it actually took me to was a web e-mail form, so I had to repeat my original e-mail query using this. That was Thursday. It is now Monday. I have still not received any documents, have had no reply to my e-mail, and the number on the web site doesn't work. Today I tried contacting them on Twitter, and have been met with a deafening silence. Fortunately, I paid by PayPal. I shall be contacting them to see if they can get me a refund. Do not use this site in any circumstances.

I changed my name using this service this time last year and received my documents very quickly using them to successfully change my name in bank etc. However, my wife used the same service about 6 weeks ago to change her name and no sign of her documents. Same deedpoll officer. I just sent him an email there this morning as his email was on the documents I received last year, instead of replying to the help email as I got the same message as you. What I'm wondering is - my deedpoll has a serial number on it at the top and in my wifes email there was a serial number too so is this valid? Apparently the document isn't legal until you sign it so is her name changed or not? So frustrating especially as she needs to apply for passport.

I am angry at even having to rate this as one star but thats the least here- In my opinion, no stars is more appropriate. I had left a review here about 3 weeks ago to which after about 10 days I received an apology letter stating there was an error which led to delays in documents being sent out. the letter also promised a full refund and 10 extra legal copies for free in order to make up for the (shoddy) service. By this time I had lodged a complaint anyway and decided to retract it only if they kept their end of the bargain. Well I received my documents (eventually) but with no signs of a refund or the promised legal copies. As usual any attempts to contact them have failed- emails, phones chats etc. I am now going to pursue my complaint further- I cannot believe that these people think they can get away with this kind of behaviour- and they call themselves legal deed poll service- conning people, I am sure, is ILLEGAL!! I have read many reviews which say their negative reviews were deleted. I am so hawk eyed about this website, I know they update their website almost every other day. This is what I intend to do. - Since I am sure my review will get deleted, I am going to post my experience 3 times a day (yes I will make the time!!) so new users see the review and I will be certain there is somebody sitting there just to delete my review. - I am going to now pursue the complaint. I had already contacted Action Fraud and trading standards and will ring on Monday to further it. I am sure if there are numbers to prove a case, this will add weight to the complaint and hopefully these people will know they are not dealing with one disgruntled customer but a whole lot of disappointed ones who will try not to let them get away with this kind of service. I am not angry because they did not send me free copies and my refund- Yes some may argue that I have now received my document and so I should be pleased. I am angry because first you give us a horrible service, then a lame excuse, then a tall promise (and we bought your excuse because we understand mistakes can happen and we acknowledged your gesture at rebuilding customer relations) and then only to find out you just wanted to appease us temporarily and not honour your own words- almost insulting our intelligence. This has got to stop. Trust me, I would have come back and given a glowing review if the service had kept their end of the deal saying- yes though there was an error they more than made up for it. But they have just invited a whole lot of negative reviews and I will ensure mine don't go unnoticed by the users of this service

Keep posting your reviews. They have to manually remove them so it is a real pain for them so this will make them contact you.

Filling in the application was easy, received the e-draft copy the next day and then I verified and approved the copy. The next day I received teh legal deed copy in my postbox, to my surprise there was only one copy. I am not sure it is a draft or not. However when checked it is found to be a original copy and I did not receive my 10 addition legal copies I ordered along with the original deed copy. Now it's been more than 10 days and I have not received my legal copies, trying to get hold of them on several phone numbers / online forms / email - and none of them are responding and Haven't heard back from them. The automated reason being - we charge less and hence we don't provide service :-) This is not good at all. One would have no choice other than to approach a different firm and pay little extra to get the deeds done and have the after process customer support in case you require any further details/help on this regard. I would not recommend this. Concerns: 1. No Customer Support after approval of e-draft copy. 2. Paid for 10 additional copies and that never received and have to re-approach other firms to get this process corrected. Luckily I have not signed this yet :-)

The process itself seems very legit, you are told a lot of useful information and it is very easy. There are also a lot of friendly famous faces and the site looks great. HOWEVER, I paid and received a confirmation email telling me I'll receive my e-deed in two hours to check before posting... a day later nothing. So I emailed to be told it's a dead email and you must call, use the live chat or go through the forms. Live chat is a fake hyperlink, the phone number tells me the line is faulty, the mobile one just goes dead and the forms have provided me with no response. Basically the whole site is fake, nothing works but the fact that they will take your money and provide you with no deed poll. HOW can I get my money back? And how is anyone talking about great customer service when it's all fake? ALL the numbers and available links are dead links. AVOID.

I've noticed the same thing. I received an automated review but haven't received an ecopy like they said... and now I can't contact ANYONE. Email tells me to ring or send a form, ringing it tells me the number doesn't work and the form gets me nowhere... I'm afraid they've just stolen my money. However all other reviews for it seem to be fantastic.

Hello, are you there? Does your company still exist? Numerous people trying desperately to get in touch and every avenue is a dead end. I used this service last year for my own name change and couldn't fault the service, however my wife is having the issue that everyone else here is having. Someone needs to make a comment on your company's behalf to set everyone straight.

I agree it's a definite trick. I thought it odd when all the links on the email I received didn't work, you can't email them I have had no responses and I have tried every phone number I can find none of them work,,, I love how they've replied to you saying to contact them to resolve the problem, would be helpful if they told you how to contact them.. really unhappy and annoyed seriously stay away from this company and DO NOT BELEIVE the good reviews.

I have not received my documents. Money has been taken from my account but not received the deed poll. The email reply was prompt to say they had received my documents, as advertised it would be, but now I am trying to find out what has happened I am unable to talk to or email anyone. I am concerned that this is not a real service site!!

The legal deed poll service has the absolute WORST customer service once they have your money and something goes wrong! My child's Deed Poll was confirmed dispatched 16 business days ago and I paid £10 for signed delivery and it is still not here. I started calling the dispatch "helpline" 9days ago and 43 calls later I still haven't gotten through, they have this many unhappy customers? Or have they got only 1 person to help once payments have been made! Very bad. I tried to email my deed poll officer like one of the answer phone messages recommends and I get an automatic reply saying they no longer have an email help service so call. I tried a few other email addresses my emails go unanswered and when explaining all this to the Advice line reps I get hung up on 5 times all the while I am never angry or curt, I save all emails and phone calls are recorded so proof I am nothing but polite and just pleading as to where my child's personal details have got to. I still am only getting hung up on and I have my child's passport to apply for and have back by mid March which should have been no problem but with this service there is no way that will happen now. Avoid at all cost!

We are having exactly the same issues. You e mail your dedicated officer with an enquiry and it bounces back IMMEDIATELY AS UNREAD AND DELETED????.Now they are hounding us to subscribe to their archive service for a further £8saying you have to do it by 23:59 today to qualify. No chance. Try sending out the deedpoll we have already paid for first. Any organisation that's worth its salt has a customer service phone line where you can speak to someone eventually - not this lot they just hide behind one sided e-mails trying to get you to spend more. By the way the so called draft certificate that arrived the day after had only a name and address on it and looked VERY SUSPICIOUS TO ME. Like I say still waiting so I can apply for passport.

I ordered a name change 29 December 2014, got a text message to confirm, It is now 1 January 2015 and I have had no other communication from the legal deed poll service, I have tried to contact them by phone but they do not pick it up instead they play music for 3mins then leave a message, done this 20 times over 2 days and got no where, Best to steer clear of this really poor service

Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused, you should have received an email notifying you of our amended opening and processing times during the Christmas period and, given the contents of your review, I anticipate that you have not received this email.
Although a small team of staff continued to process orders received during the Christmas holidays, our offices were mainly closed from 24th December until 5th January. During this period our technicians were also implementing changes to our servers and making changes to our email system, which they say is very likely to be the reason why you did not receive emails from us.
With regards to not being able to get through to our Support Service this week, the number of calls we receive will significantly increase as a consequence of the Support Service being closed during the Christmas holidays. We have however answered 97.5% of calls received so far this week and now that the majority of enquiries have been responded to the number of callers will significantly decrease thereby freeing up the lines so that we can answer all calls to the service.
If you (and of course anybody else experiencing the same during the Christmas holidays and w/c 5th Jan 2015) can call me between 9am and 5pm or, email. By way of apology I will refund the cost of the service in full, check the status of your order and send to you an additional 20 legal copies, free of charge.
To this end, if your order has not been delivered by the time you call or email me, I will of course resend it via Royal Mail’s special next working day delivery service, again, free of charge.

Deed Poll officer keeps emailing but I can't reply as all emails are deleted apparently. I am curious ...do you only put positive feedback on here? I am so frustrated I can't get any help either by phone or on line. The text to 82070 got a reply saying someone would call within 1 hour it has been over 2 hours still nothing. Only gave one star because it is 'required' a minus star would be more suited.

We are temporarily living in Spain so I emailed the company asking if they would post two deed polls for myself and my husband in one envelope to save paying two lots of £10 international postage. They agreed so we placed the order. The next thing we heard, only one deed poll had been posted. We asked why, and they claimed that one of the payments had been rejected by the bank. However the online bank statement showed that both had gone out. Instead of admitting their oversight and simply posting the other, as per our original agreement, they asked us for another £10 or they'd simply keep the original payment and do nothing. We demanded a refund under Internet Selling laws, which they reluctantly made after much arguing and a legal letter being sent. The final irony was that when the first deed poll turned up two weeks later, it was folded in a normal c5 envelope with £1.14 postage on it! Yet they'd charged £10! Avoid like the plague. There are much better companies online.

I applied online and was advised would receive an email of my deed poll to check by 1pm the following day. Never received anything so emailed their help email address but still had no response after 24 hours. Awaited the post today but still no documents and still no replies to my email after 48 hours of applying. But they have taken my money!! Not impressed with the service at all!!

Soon as paid automated email arrived telling me I would get proof copies sent to me before 1 o'clock . This time came and went so emailed them with no reply , then used there ticket system also no reply . I will now await the post as the site told me if bought before 4:30 would be posted out same day .
