HP Compaq Evo N800V is good, reliable equipment. It is slim, good looking, clear crisp picture, lightweight, never lets you down.
After 2 years the rubber like, soft feel, black coating became so soft that it almost liquefied and got so sticky, that the entire black color stuck to the hands. No bad treatment, no dropping of liquids on it, soft touch coating has to be reviewed as it seems not be suitable for high humidity tropical climate. For continuation of work this coating had to be removed. Usage in Sri Lanka
Computer is getting slower and slower by the day after new set ups.
Machine was bought brand new and only one user. Battery change required after 2 years.

Sea water fell into my laptop, fell down from the table, met with humidity, hot, cold, without shutting down it worked many months like a server, watched more than 1000 movies, so what else can be done to test this laptop?
It passed all my tests.
I congratulate Compaq company for this product.
Now I am looking for a new laptop, but i couldn't find any 15" and 1400X1050 resolution computer yet.

I have taken this laptop all around the world to some pretty rough places - Afghanistan and all over Africa. It has coped with the heat, humidity and dust and rough handling. In all that time, only the battery has failed (after 5 years). I have reinstalled the operating system only once. Full marks.

The HP Compaq Evo N800V laptop is the best laptop I have had. I have been carrying it with me since 2003 - so for close to 5 years. It has been used in Scandinavian blizzards and Spanish deserts - not to mention having gained a Euro Bonus level of Gold in air miles.
I use it for my work, which includes Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop, office and some light programming.

Toshiba Tecra and Compaq Evo outperforms on battery life. I still enjoy my Evo although it exterior looks are creepy due to the heavy use given all this years but still works fine and fast with XP. This laptop is truly a winner. Water has been dropped on its keyboards, fell down from the top of a rack, one of its edges of right back corner is broken. The only drawback was its power supply which died last year, got another from another Compaq model with the same voltage. What else can I say about this nice good working laptop.

HP Compaq Evo N800V looks cool, slim, lightwight and compact yet have all sort of new features and devices, USB port cover gives a new look to this notebook. Only negative feature, I think, is small size keyboard that restricts punching at a high speed.
Overall an excellent package, it has fallen number of times from bed:-), I rate 8 out of 10. One point deducted for keyboard and another for shortlating paint around the palm area.

The HP Compaq Evo N800V, surely my most intelligent purchase to date! I LOVE this laptop, it is so stylish and light. I got mine with a 40 MB hard drive and 256mb of RAM and I'm so happy. It looks fantastic and it is fantastic. I use mine for work and at home as a desktop. The Kids even play games on it. I really wanted top give it a 10/10 but there are some better laptops out there (though they cost more) so I thought I'd go for a 9.

Extensive research of all makes and models, including purchases of makes, has shown the N800V to be both the most durable and all round. Platform is XP Pro. Stable beyond belief.

The Compaq Evo N800V is what a laptop should be, slim, powerful, lovely styling, light and generally well thought out. Perfect bluetooth partner with the Nokia 6310 phone. The combo port means dual battery and 7 hours of usage. The screen is amazing, go for at least UXGA 15".

i think this review of the Compaq Evo N800V
<br>is limited interm of description and performance. I believe it is important to mention the Speed and price. The hardware side is also important, interms the amount of drives it has. Whether it has a CD-R/RW,DVD-R or both. Just try to be creative when making a report about a product such as Laptop. Put yourself in the position of the reader, what would i want to know about the product if i was reading? Ask yourself that question

I think Evo N800V is one of the most gorgeous notebooks ever made. Slim, powerful and complete. Never seems to be out of fashion, the touch of the upper cpu cover is simply amazing. With windows XP SP1 it is extremely stable. My best purchase ever...
