“Do not Touch this company with a barge pole”

We are a large company with a revenue of over 1,000 million euros. We tried to move some of our lines in a test office after a recommendation - but several months later no result. Conflicting information and lack of flexibility. I do believe they were good at some stage.... but not any more. I wish I had googled reviews first. The accounmangers are just interested getting your money. They had the opportunity to potentially move most of our europe operations to them and they blew it. Unfortunately this whole scenario will probably end up with the Legal team. Unfortunate.... because it makes me look bad as well as them now that I have had to go out of my way to write this review.

“Do they have technical people any more?”

Suddenly the phone doesn't work. They changed the system at there end - didn't tell me. They said the old portal had been decommisioned, and I had to change to a new portal which cost more money - I said OK (big mistake!) Since then, 3 weeks have passed and I still don't have any of the 3 trunks working. OK, its very light use either incoming or outgoing and frantic emails telling people to use my mobile number seem to have worked. But seriously, they can't fix a fault thewy created by changing the portal in 3 weeks? Would you want to get involved with this company?

“Arrogant Customer Service”

Awful customer service. I have been a customer of this company for more than three years always paying, as required. When my credit card expired, I failed to update the details, distracted, as I had a particularly heavy workload at this time. I received an email to tell me that my account had been cancelled. When I immediately contacted Orbtalk through their online messaging service, I was met by an unfriendly and indeed sarcastic response. I called their customer service and was told that I would have to pay £15 to restore my number even though I had expressed my willingness to pay the top up fee (£10) and reset my credit card details. I should also note that I did not actually owe them any money. Additionally, I was told that I could create a new account and that would cost nothing. As I was also looking to extend my telephone requirement, I was very surprised at Orbtalk's lack of professional oversight.

“Completely fed up”

Lines go down, tech support dont do anything about it. Sales guy is quite rude and you can feel the attitude through the phone line. Don't bother with them, they will just completely get on your nerves.

“Prank Called me”

I have had a call from Orb Talk and missed the call. Upon calling the company back the Orb Talk representative was rather dismissive about why the company called me. He also went onto suggest that I have e been calling them and he went onto ask if I were a business. I looks to me that they have a data Base of numbers and miss call us all only to hope that they get a sale.

“So far so good, but...”

We have only started using Orbtalk recently for a SIP trunk and so far the experience has been very good. Call quality is fine and the recently upgraded website and portal is much better now. It was broken for mobile until recently! It's a solid offering and it works well on our Cisco Cube, but I'd like to see them add some more exciting features. No problems so far. Some of the negative reviews on this site are a concern to me, but they are mostly quite old, so hopefully they have sorted those issues now.

“Terrible support + more expensive than competition”

We've struggled for months to get Orbtalks system running properly. The call quality has been poor and calls seem to drop randomly. Orbtalk's support department don't seem to be very interested in issues and haven't come up with a fix. We're looking at moving back to BT!

Calls drop or sound awful. Support aren't supportive and no escalation available. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

“One gripe, but major - they route all calls through...”

I have moved away from Orbtalk because even if their servers are in  Brighton UK, whenever I make a call using their SIP trunk I see American  IP addresses in the SIP logs. This is true even if I call an Orbtalk  assigned number from another Orbtalk assigned number, both in the UK.  The call still seems to go through 208.76.16.109, which is an IP in NY  USA, belonging to XConnect Global Networks Ltd. This is both inefficient  and a huge privacy and security concern.  I moved to another provider and see no such issues there. Here is a sample of the SIP logs seen:  <--- SIP read from UDP:orbtalk.ip:5060 --->  ... lines removed ...  Via: SIP/2.0/UDP orbtalk.ip;branch=removed  !!! Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 208.76.16.109:4081;branch=removed !!!  From: ;tag=removed  To:   CSeq: 1 INVITE  Call-ID: removed  !!! Contact: !!!  ... lines removed ... “Fantastic PBX for us & our Clients”

My IT Support company has been using Orbtalk’s PBX services for years now and it has been faultless. The support guys are quick to respond if you need any help configuring. The PBX is feature rich in every way and has an easy to follow web interface with plenty of help sections to explain what each area controls. We think their service is so good we recommend them to our clients. One of the greatest things about the whole system for me is the fact I can take my phone with me to other locations that have broadband plug it in and it works. Also I can give home workers a phone and they can pick up calls whilst working from home. It the most flexible system I have ever worked with & I can't recommend them enough. Well Done Guy's ;-)

Fast set up Fantastic voice quality Feature rich, queues, IVR, SIP trunk, Hosted PBX, call recording, dialler loads of stuff to be honest. It's a professional company that provide everything they said they would. I used to be with Gradwell, literally the worst company I have ever used for anything. Can not recommend Orbtalk highly enough.

I've been with Orbtalk for 3 years and I have to say they have been nothing but a pleasure to deal with. We all know the hiccups of using VoIP but when we have had them in my centres they have been fast to respond and offered all the help necessary. The features are very easy to use and robust. I particularly like their dialler system it's really uped my productivity. Anyone looking for a fast, simple and cost effective telephony service should look no further. I also bought another company which already had a VoIP infrastructure, Orbtalk used the same system already in place so I didn't need to incur any installation costs when switching the telecoms to Orbtalk which saved me a lot of money.

“Easy to setup, Poor Support, Management ignore customers”

I started using Orbtalk a couple of years ago for Outbound and Premium SIP Trunks, to start of they were more than helpful. It was easy to setup trunks although they quite often have issues with their portal which is very frustrating. Recently we have been having issues with the trunks dropping of and calls getting dropped. We thought maybe a PBX issue but then we had issues across 6 sites all on different equipment and with various ISP's including different services. The issue is OrbTalk don't think they have issues, well that's what support keep saying. They carry out a quick test and say no its fine change a cable! even though you have explained its across multiple sites! So then you start getting annoyed and keep asking to speak to the director, he's not available he's out of the office, is it me or would one expect the director of a telecoms business to have a mobile? Anyway no call and days later still no call. Clearly to busy to speak to resellers who are giving them business!!

“I stumbled accross Orbtalk when I was searching online...”

I stumbled accross Orbtalk when I was searching online for SIP trunks. I went to the SIP trunk section on there website and noticed they allowed online sign ups. I ran through the online signup form, this took no longer than 10 minutes. Around 2 hours later I received all documentation required to set up there SIP trunk on my 3CX system and all my account details. Great Service!
