This vacuum really works well. It does a great job and it has a strong force. Its very light and easy to move around.

Great vacuum, really lightweight and powerful. Had several other cheaper alternatives but this one is by far the best. Labradors seem to moult all year but this vacuum clears all carpets and rugs in minutes. The filters are easy to clean (that IS important) so it works great. Yes, swapping the hose to use the stretch hose requires half a minute extra but, hey, it really isn't that much bother? No is my answer. Did have a problem 3 years after purchase (my daughter managed to make it stop working...deliberate??? :-) ) but the Vax warranty service was really good. I called up to say mine had stopped working and, with no fuss or drama, a form for a replacement unit was sent by e-mail. I completed the form and attached the vacuum cleaner label, returned it by post and a week later a new main unit arrived - no hassle! Only slight issue was that the very nice lady I spoke to didn't tell me to keep the old tools and cylinder but once again, no hassle all parts were sent out with an apology for the inconvenience. I'd definitely recommend this vacuum cleaner and also Vax.

F A B U L O U S. I have been liberated. Not only does this vacuum do the job brilliantly you do not have to be a body builder to lift it upstairs. I replaced my Dyson with this little beauty and I know I will never own another Dyson again. If I wanted to be picky I would say that Dyson wins so far as the hose stretches and retracts whereas the Vax needs its extension attached but that is the only very infantisimal negative about it. Do not hesitate - buy one - you will wonder why you waited so long.

I purchased this the Vax Mach Air Reach a few days ago, and I have to say it's a very good vacuum cleaner. Prior to purchasing I read a few reviews and some said about the tools falling off. If you look at the instructions carefully it shows how they should be stored, and they don't fall off. The two tools actually slide together and click at a stop button, but to secure them properly this button needs to be pushed in and the tools pushed further together. My only slight gripe is that there's no storage for the Turbo Tool. On my initial trial, this unit picked up loads of dust left behind by my 4 year old Electrolux cleaner.

Having struggled with the original Dyson for years I decided that I did not want another. What a great decision that was - this really is a great bagless hoover. Cheaper than a Dyson and better, lighter, as much suction, longer extension lead and I would recommend 'the switch' to anyone. We do have pets and it does the job extremely well.

With trepidation I purchased this vacuum after a previous purchase of an upright bagless vacuum. It was the Electrolux Vitesse and it was always cutting out after about five minutes and as for replacing belts I think I became a bit of an expert.
It took me a long time to make the purchase of the Air Reach because I had been considering the Mach Air, but there seemed to be a couple of niggles regarding the length of hose and cable, and because I also required it for the car as well I held back in making my purchase.
Am I glad I did. I placed the order with Amazon (saving about £40) and they told me delivery would be in one month. It arrived one week later.
Quite simply, this is a dream of a machine and it is so efficient with the extra long hose and the turbo attachment is the proverbial icing on the cake. VAX MACH AIR REACH.. A joy to own. Durability and service ratings I really cannot award because of length of ownership so they get two

JUST THE SOLUTION TO 2 GOLDEN RETRIEVERS AND A BRITISH BLUE!
The VAX Mach Air Reach is a great vacuum cleaner, small and lightweight with big cleaning capabilities .... and quiet too.
I just opened the box and slotted it together - so easy and ready to go in minutes
Well designed I like the handle height adjustment
Excellent for cleaning both carpeted and hard floors - also furniture, dogs bedding etc. Good edge to edge cleaning it is even slim enough to get right up to the skirting board under radiators and is shallow enough to clean under low furniture.
Easily manoeuvrable with readily accessible on-board tools. In fact I had thought that, as I have no stairs, I would not use the turbo tool. However I decided to give it a try on "the dogs' sofa" - it is truly outstanding. Compact to store especially if the handle height is dropped
Whilst the dust collector is not very big it is very easy to empty and clean
I liked the smart purple and grey finish
All in all "Thank you to VAX" .. and I fully recommend

This Vax type model is the best hoover for my home, house, that i have ever owned. Very easy to use, the power is incredibale, it lifts our carpet off the floor in some places, which if anything shows the Flaws of the carpet fitters. My wife loves the new hoover, I love the new hoover, the Kids hate it, but they would.

The Mach Air Reach was very easy to assemble from straightforward minimal instructions. First use of the Air Reach was also easy and familiarisation only takes a few minutes. The machine is very powerful which appears constant. There is no messy bag to empty and the filter can be removed and simply washed so there is no additional expense in purchasing bags and filters. The machine is light to use and manoeuvre and stairs, at last, become a doddle with the long attachment hose. There are 3 extra attachments to cover every area in the house and car. The rotating brush bar at the front makes the Mach Air Reach suitable for all floor types and surfaces and it easily coped with dog hairs to give a really thorough clean. I found that it could have been designed to turn a little easier and the red light, advising the rotating brush was blocked, could be brighter or better positioned but these are minor faults when considering it's many plus points. All in all is it a great machine which is easy to use and, as it is so powerful, cuts down cleaning time a great deal making vacuuming a much more pleasant and less tiring task. After 2 weeks of use I would thoroughly recommend it to others as I am very pleased with it and the 6 year guarantee provides peace of mind.

Vax U90-MA-R - The Vax with the x factor!
This machine was an upgrade from my previous bulky Vax, which is at least a decade old, so I couldn't wait to try out my new Vax Mach Air Reach (Vax U90-MA-R), the new and improved model of the already highly rated Vax Mach Air... and it certainly lives up to all its claims and beyond!
The design is lightweight yet completely robust, making it easy to whizz about the house without having to worry about it taking a few knocks.
Its extremely long power cord meant I was able to vacuum every room in my house, all from the same plug socket - so useful!
The long stretch hose reached all my stairs in one go and, especially when equipped with the powerful Turbo Tool, makes cleaning them a doddle.
Being able to access and clean the machine's brush bars from the top without having to turn the machine over is a brilliant idea; there is also a ridge along the plastic pole that I found perfect for running a scissor blade along to snip any hair that had wrapped around it, making it much easier to pull the strands out. The dirt collection compartment is also easy to clean.
The attachments are easy to interchange - the 'clunk click' way of fixing them on is so quick and reassuring - and most store securely on the machine. It would have been nice if there was also somewhere to store and carry the Turbo Tool, seeing as all the others seem to have their place. I also wonder whether the Turbo Tool would benefit from a jointed head to make it easier to keep it flat against the floor while vacuuming... but these are very minor gripes and I really can't fault it as I found it such a handy tool!
As a whole I find this vacuum to be amazing. Lightweight, solid, versatile and extremely powerful - this newest Vax is great value for money and, having tested out some top models from other brands, poses stiff competition - it certainly gets my vote!

I took delivery of this vacuum cleaner about two weeks ago and to be honest was very apprehensive of its performance due to its size.
However, from the moment I took it out of its very small box and clipped it together we haven't spent a day apart. I am finding excuses to hoover at every opportunity!
It has a very strong suction and this in turn has brought my 'soon to be thrown out' bedroom carpets back to life!! I hadn't realised that my current cleaner wasn't doing a thorough enough job!
I do now!!!
It has a long extension hose which is easy to assemble and has no trouble reaching from the base of my stairs to the top.No more bad back for me!!
Emptying the cylinder was no trouble either and a lot quicker that my usual cylinder (HENRY)
If I was to have a complaint it would be that I don't find that it flows with ease over a hardwood floor. I do only have this in my hall and kitchen so its not too much of a concern. It would have been better to have maybe some bristles to cushion between the nozzlehead and floor.
Overall I am very pleased with it and would highly recommend it.

This is an incredible vacuum. It is very light and simple to use. It has a flexible extension tube that is simple to fit. It can be used in conjunction with the removable handle or with the the powerful turbo tool cleaning stair carpets is simplicity itself. Perfect for carpets and hard floors by use of the on/off brush switch. Simple to empty by removing the dirt collector and with the press of a button the hinged bottom falls away and the dirt drops into the bin. I would highly recommend this product.

Vax Mach Air Reach U90-MA-R
My previous cleaner does the job well enough & i was quite happy with it apart from getting halfway through cleaning the stairs then i'd have to go up or down to change plug sockets, many times in the past i've got to the top (or bottom) & discovered i wanted an attachment that i hadn't brought with me, this cleaner solves both of those problems by having a super long lead & onboard attachments.
The suction is wonderful & i love the little mini head attachment (turbo tool), i don't have pets but it's great for rugs, furniture, curtains & under the bed etc.
Every part of this that needs emptying or cleaning is so easy to get to & i love that it's bagless (which i've never had before).
There is a 3-in-1 tool which slots together & sits on the back of the machine, so it's with you constantly & is easily accessible.
I love that the handle is height adjustable & easily comes out to double as the extension pipe for ceilings, curtains & hard to reach places that an upright can't get to.
The 6 year guarantee is quite impressive too.
It's not very heavy so it's very easy to use in all situations & it isn't too noisy like some machines.
Looking for a negative comment? it doesn't make the tea & do the cleaning by itself.
To sum up, i love this & fully recommend it. (It looks cool too).

I have had my Mach Air Reach now 2 weeks and there are things I love about it and some things that I would change. I am in the middle of moving house so I have put the machine to a good test.
I love the size of the machine as it stores away very easily and the length of cable allows me to plug in 1 room and vacuum through to the next. Although I wish there was a way the cable automatically retracted as there is a lot of cable to wrap round at the back of the machine.
I love the switch that allows me swap between carpets and hard floors. My previous vacuum cleaner only did carpets so I think this is a big plus for this machine.
The extension hose is another plus for this version of the Vax Mach Air which allows you to clean stairs top to bottom easily. The machine is so light weight you can carry it up the stairs no problem unlike my Dyson which was so heavy I used to bang it up the stairs.
I do find the hose attached to the machine a bit fiddly where you pull it out from the back. It is supported by a clip that does not come off so I was forever stretching the hose from under this clip. The clip is designed to stabilise the machine so when you pull it along it does not tip over like my Dyson did so it is good in this way. The hose fittings do fit/clip together easily.
The Handle to the machine does act as a telescopic wand type so you can pull it out completely and attach the hose too it and use the various tools. I would have liked the handle to have been a little longer.
I like the extra tools it comes with which are handy for stairs and adding the extra little brush allows me to do skirtings and corners of the ceilings. There is a turbo tool which is handy for pet hair but the machine does a fairly good job at pet hairs anyway. It is a shame that all the tools can not fit on the machine but I guess they are trying to keep the overall weight down.
The power of the machine is good as in my first time of vacuuming I filled the cylinder with dirt and hair etc. and my house is vacuumed every other day. So it seemed to get the dirt and hair that my Dyson did not get and it was much quieter too. This was strange as my Dyson seemed to have more power as it used to pull the carpet up where the Mach Air did not.
Emptying the machine was different story as when I came to empty it into my wheelie bin the whole thing fell into my bin. I and the machine ended up covered in dust so just be careful. I did prefer my Dyson that while holding the handle you pulled the lever and it emptied with this machine you have to unclip at the bottom. I do wish it could hold a bit more dirt etc. as my Dyson does hold more in its cylinder.
Overall the Vax Mach Air does tick more boxes than my Dyson. It is lighter and quieter. It will travel further and with the extra hose reach further. It is brilliant to go from carpet to hard floors with the touch of a button. It is a practical and user friendly machine.

I have used this vacuum cleaner for just over a week now and I am extremely pleased with it. When I first took it out of the box I had my doubts as to whether it would be any good as it is a lot lighter and smaller than uprights I have used previously. BUT, I needn't have worried - this is a real powerhouse of a machine.
Its suction power is second to none and my carpets have come up much better than I hope they would. I love the fact that I can see the brush bar through the clear cover and am able to switch it on and off, via a button on the top of the vacuum, to suit carpets and hard floors. No more having to tip the vacuum up to remove debris from the brush bar - it is remarkably easy to access the brush bar and a flashing red light warns you if it is still jammed - brilliant!
This vacuum is ideal for a household that has stairs and pets. The extension flexi hose makes cleaning the stairs a doddle and the turbo tool is fabulous at removing pet hairs of my sofas. Also the longer power cord means I can vacuum more rooms without having to unplug/plug it in all the time - I can even clean all the way up the stairs with the flexi hose then take the VAX MACH AIR REACH upstairs and vacuum most of the rooms before I need to unplug the cable and bring that upstairs too. Overall this vacuum is fabulous and I can't imagine using anything better.

Mach Air Reach is Vax's second model of their brilliant Mach Air. I have been a Mach Air fan since I bought one last year. The beauty of this wonderful machine is that it is really light and makes 'hoovering' the carpets an absolute joy. I had previously had several Dyson's and so I was 'sold' on the bagless gyclonic suction which Mach Air has too but I was really feeling the weight of the dyson machine. When I bought my Mach AirWI had been looking at a Dyson Ball which was nearly 3 times the price of Vax Mach Air and the ball is unnecessary with Mach Air since it is so small and light and manouvrable, that getting into corners is easy. I am exceedingly fond of it's great suction and cleaning power. I recommended this machine to all my friends. Several also bought one and were just as pleased as I. The only 'small niggle' we had was the length of the flexi hose and this has been taken on board by Vax in their Mach Air Reach where they provide a second extension hose and a longer electric flex so that now I can find no fault whatsoever with this wonderful machine. It is effective, light, and a joy to use. It is very reasonably priced compared with similar products and I have no hesitation in recommending it unreservedly. I have a houseful of pets (4 dogs and 4 cats) and this machine keeps the carpets hair free and makes the cleaning so less of a chore. Even my husband manages to switch it on occasionally!!!

Have had one of these for two weeks now and recommend it for its lightweight and power. Easy to use on both carpets and hard floors, also with the extension tube and the turbo brush attached makes cleaning stairs pure simplicity. If you think your carpets are currently clean wait till you try this. I highly recommend this cleaner.
