“Wasn’t properly fixed”

Sent it in through CeX, I waited 3 weeks for it to be repaired, the RB button broke and headphone jack. Once I got it back I played JC4 with it for 30minutes, in which the RB button refused to function and the headphone jack wouldn’t work at all. Very Disappointed.

“Gutted.”

Have just been completely mugged off by CEX. I bought an Alcatel flip phone in the Brighton store for £18. But when I realised I bought the wrong phone, (was actually intending to buy one with a camera attached to it) I went to the Worthing store, expecting to return the phone or even exchange it for the correct mobile. I was then told that CEX do not allow items to be returned unless they are faulty, even though this item was untouched, still in the packaging, receipt included, charger still wrapped up.
 & even though their online Terms & Conditions state that items can be returned within 14 days, I had to sell the phone back to the store for £10 less than I had bought it for 3 days earlier.  It's so disappointing as I have been a big time CEX fan for many years and am always recommending to friends and family.

“Poor online service 5 star for staff in sToke Store”

I went to the CEX store Stoke to buy my ps4 with the voucher I got, I misplace got another voucher If I could I would give all staff there 5 star as they all very helpful, polite and went to high lens to help me. I went in on Tuesday 15th to trade in my stuff after when I got home I realised I lost my voucher, as soon as I did I went on the CEX Customer care. My first email was on 15th Feb 2016. the first email I got back very quickly but then I re emailed them on 16th Feb 2016 and I did not get the email back till 17th, which said they get back to me about the voucher and they get back to me. They did not say that they was going to cancel the voucher, that was not put in the email, which is wrong. I waited and had enough. So I re emailed them on 18th Feb and they did not get back to me. So that when I went back in to store on 19th Feb to get a voucher re printed which the staff did without a problem. Fantastic I thought. I took my son home and came back to get all I want, when I got tod the voucher been cancelled and new voucher was been sent which I did not. To my helplessness the manager and member of staff tried to get in contact with them too. they got there reply saying to come back in store the next day sat 20th to get my voucher I was not happy at all. The Manager was very helpful and all the staff wanted to go home as it was past there closing time. all the staff stayed and tried to help me till I got it sorted. they got a reply to say I got a new voucher sent to me by email on Sat. The manager was fantastic and I did not wanted to keep all the staff any longer so I paided on my card. the manager says I can come back and get it refunded and my voucher used. WELL DONE TO THE HANLEY STOKE CEX STORE you make the service fantastic shame about the online service.

“Bromley branch: full of uninterested, incompetent staff”

Staff are full of saracastic quips and remarks when nothing was said to provoke them in the first place. I just wanted to sell a game, nothing said and the staff said some saracastic remark, its a shop, I'm not there to talk to people, if i wanted a chat I would have initiated the conversation. Rubbish staff, good products though the prices are becoming less reasonable as the shop has got popular. So i dont go there anymroe and just hmv or amazon it now.

“Poor Service”

If only the staff knew how to smile it would make the trip to CEX a little more worthwhile! They prices are much steeper than I expected, especially as we were purchasing a large number of laptops and not one person working would either smile or have sufficient knowledge to be able to help us. I had heard decent things, but was very disappointed.

“Misleading Quotes!”

Until recently, I have been a reasonably happy customer of CEX, save the odd blip. But the last two times I have taken items to sell to them I was grossly over quoted on what they would offer me for them. On one I was quoted £101 by two different staff on two different days that week, only to find when I brought it in that it was suddenly £78. When I demanded an explanation I was told they had looked at the wrong "version" of said item. What.... TWICE? I don't think so. This is playing on people's fiscal needs, not to mention wasting our time. Come on CEX, get your act together and stop lying about what you offer just in order to get people into your shops!
