“We Love it here, it's perfect!”

★★★★★

written by NatashaJupp on 09/07/2013

What more can i say but it is our perfect seaside holiday in the uk! We have been for 3 years running and the kids are so excited every time. The caravans are immaculate and very comfortable, the owners are very friendly and helpful. The beach is lovely and a stones throw from the site, plenty of crabs and starfish waiting to be found! It is very quiet which is just what we are looking for! We go to the nearby village of Walcott for our fish and chips and icecream from the cafe there, a lovely walk along the beach! Looking forward to our next holiday here :) Natasha Jupp

“Best caravan site of last 10 yrs for relaxing holidays!!!”

★★★★★

written by MrsFriend on 08/04/2012

We have just spend a week in the most comfortable caravan site of the last 10 years in an excellent location for long walks by the beach. First impressions were good when the entry to the park is a narrow road with the beach on one side and the caravans 30m on the other. It got better when we found tea/coffee/sugar and fresh milk waiting in the spotless caravan and couldn't believe it when we found an extra radiator and free washing/tumble dryer facilities! It even had the same model TV as ours so we were already familiar with the remote control and were able to watch all the freeview channels! We had our 14year old (who loved going for walks in the beach with the dogs and a football) and 2 small dogs with us. Dogs were free to bring, the main reason why we chose the site. The village is very quiet but you can reach popular towns and villages within 30min by car. There is a gift shop by the corner, a local shop, fish & chips and chinese within walking distance. Unfortunately both pubs were closed down. The icecream van came in the afternoon and evening so it met my husband's requirement for a 'proper' holiday We found the caravan itself the most comfortable we have been in, specially warm with the extra heater and the only thing we didn't realise is that this caravan (No9, 2 bedrooms) had no toaster or microwave. Luckily the day after our arrival in the village there was a car boot sale where we bought a toaster for £2 so I only burnt the toast in the grill once. As we heat milk for drinks it would have been perfect having a microwave as I kept boiling the milk over and we couldn't roast potatoes quickly. The owners' house is at the entrance of the site (5m from our caravan) and they were around all the time so we felt security was not an issue and didn't feel we had to hide laptops etc. They are really helpful and approachable and I really recommend this site to anyone who likes to sleep with the sound of the sea in an otherwise quiet location.

“great place to stay”

★★★★★

written by timoneywatts49 on 23/07/2011

This is my second stay at this site, the first being with a friend last year. MY friend and i had a lovely long weekend of relaxing touring and just chilled. There were workmen staying on the site but it was out of season so they need to make their money somehow. The workmen were not noisy but if they had of been i would not have had a problem talking to the owners who are lovely. My second visit was with my husband and two of my youngest kids. They loved it, it is small and very peaceful. The beach is just across from the site, the beach is quiet and clean. Ny son is autistic and doesnt like crowds or lots of noise but the sound of the waves and the quiet beach suited him down to the ground. The caravans are spotless and there is milk, sugar, tea, coffee and cleaning products, a lovely touch. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer for the use of site users free of charge. We will be back next year if the owners will have us!

I will be returning to The Leas for what will be my 6th holiday!.. The site is faultless and the owners so helpful. Spotlessly clean, tea, coffee, milk on arrival and the supply of cooking oil and condiments in the cupboards is brilliant. They welcome pets and their pet vans are of the same high quality as the non pets (i've been in both so i know). Brilliant laundry facilities. I've always had a lovely time here and will keep coming back. I cetainly don't believe that it is the owners policy to rent vans to gangs of workers as I have never had problems with other visitors. Sometimes we all have to tolerate bad neighbours and often a word in their shell like can allieviate a problem rather than moaning on a publc forum. I thoroughly recommend this site to everyone especially if you want a peaceful time in a beautiful location.

We spent a very pleasant long weekend at this park, we found the caravan to be very clean and well presented. The owner Tony was very helpful. I would certainly recommend this small site if you want a quite and relaxing holiday. The sandy beach was very close within 1 minute walk and once the tide was out you could walk for miles. If you are looking for nightlife then this site is not for you as all there is in the village is a fish and chip shop (it closed around 8pm) and two pubs, however it you want peace and quite, a fantastic beach and miles of walks then The LEAS BEACH PARK is the place to be. One thing to note that it is a very narrow track to get to the caravan site therefore large cars may find it difficult.

We had a really enjoyable break - the caravan was excellent.
Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. How wonderful to find tea bags
and milk after a 5 hour journey! And what a fantastic location! We hope
to stay longer next time...

“This is a small site with just 9 caravans....”

This is a small site with just 9 caravans. Unfortunately the owner of the site has a policy of renting the "Holiday Caravans" to gangs of workers. Instead of the quiet and peaceful surroundings expected I was woken up at 2am by some of these tradesmen f'ing at the tops of their voices outside the caravans. I don't think this is a good policy and would not recommend this site.
