Buffalo Linkstation Duo 2TB

I bought this Buffalo NAS drive to plug into my home network to allow me to fulfil two purposes: 1) to act as a backup to our home PC's and 2) To enable me to stream content from my home network to my TV and other devices.

It was pretty simple to set up (some of the user interfaces could have been a bit nicer / more intuitive but overall pretty reasonable - although Id say you definitely need a degree of technical knowledge to set one of these up) and its a very small piece of kit which is handy as you dont really want a NAS drive out on display.

Its a pretty quiet device - which is important as I dont want to hear the whirring of a hard drive all day!

I like the fact that with the RAID configuration turned on are essentially creating a backup disk of everything - ie you are storing your content on two disks which automatically mirror each other - so if one disk dies you havent lost your entire album of family photos.

It connects easily to my home network and through to my TV and PC's - so all in all its a pretty good piece of kita nd Id definitely reocmmend it
