I Rang Celebrations To Query What Size Wedding Dre
I rang Celebrations to query what size wedding dress had been ordered as I realised no measurements had been taken. When told the mailbox was full I went on the internet and found these reviews. I also could not believe that they could have shut down without informing us brides! I immediately drove down there in floods of tears only to discover my worst nightmare was reality. My dress and my money were gone! The police investigation team said they won't investigate to see if the company has gone into liquidation and that I have to do the investigating first. Even though they admitted the customers would have been informed had this have happened. If anyone knows for sure if they have been liquidated or just done a bunk please reply!
I found this review not helpful because it is very offensive to a company who has just set up and has nothing to do whatsoever with Celebrations! Please do not make assumptions based on this because whoever wrote this is unaware of the circumstances.
I hope I can help. Celebration of Enfield is a limited company called 'CELEBRATIONS BRIDAL LIMITED' company number:06932550. It's sole director is [name removed]. It is currently in pre-dissolution, meaning it is being formally dissolved by Companies House (you can check this for free at http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/).
My understanding is that Celebrations Bridal Limited is being dissolved because it is insolvent and has many unpaid debts. However, [name removed] has started a new company(!) 'FOREVER BRIDAL LTD' company number:07380974. The only address provided for this company however is [address removed] - the address of the companies accountants I presume.
I really hope this helps...

It Would Appear That Celebrations Has Closed Perma
It would appear that Celebrations has closed permanently and the owner has removed all the stock without leaving a forwarding address.
In my case I have paid for a wedding dress which has disappeared. Others may have left deposits.
I called today (19 September)at Edmonton Green Police Station to report the position but they were not interested, saying there was insufficient evidence that a crime had been committed.
I believe the Police will investigate if sufficient people complain. If you have suffered from this very unfortunate situation, may I suggest that you also contact Edmonton Green Police Station. The Sergeant who turned down my request to investigate has number bears number PS 31 YE. Please ring him and then complete your own review on this website confirming this has been done. I'm sure that the matter will be investigated if enough of us complain. If you wish to phone me the number is 07802 956279.
PS This review bears one star but only because it would not let me leave a blank.

Ordered My Dream Dress From This Woman. After 5 Mo
Ordered my dream dress from this woman. After 5 months of waiting I decided to call for an update and got no answer for 5 days in a row. I tried to think of every possible reason why they weren't answering the phone, could it be school holidays??? etc etc. Anyway, my fiancee decided to drive up there to check out the shop and it was closed. The shop next door said she had been closed for over a month and that he saw her taking out the stock early hours in the morning. Apparently she also said she was opening another shop in Barnet...probably lying.
I actually met them at the 'Wedding Show' this year and cannot believe that this woman would just up and leave without giving her clients any notice/advice etc.
The worst thing of all is that she conned me from the start, the dress that I ordered from her was not even ordered as she wasn't even authorised to order dresses from that manufacturer, they wouldn't have taken that order from her. So maybe her plan was to give me a fake similar version or just take my money from the start. I have now had to re-order the same dress from an authorised bridal shop, luckily I can get another in time but now spending more money on top.I have now reported the incident to citizens advice and trading standards...I hope they will soon catch up with her. She should NEVER be allowed to trade ever again.
Believe she has opened up a wedding shop in East Barnet called "Forever Bridal". I too have been conned as I had paid up for my dress in full, I shall be reporting the incident to Trading Standards also.
I found this review very helpful because we need to spread the word. We are lucky my daughter took out wedding insurance!

I Ordered My Dream Dress From Celebrations Bridal
I ordered my dream dress from Celebrations bridal shop in Enfield. The owner of the shop informed me it would take 6 months until delivery. After the 6 months was up, I hadnt heard from her so I called her to ask if it had arrived which she explained she wasnt sure and would have a look and call me back. A week passed and still no call, so having to chasee again she informed me it was in. She then said to visit 3 weeks before my wedding to have it fitted snug and exact. Me feeling too eager to wait insisted I had to see the dress and put it on again. Thank god I did because it was a very bad copy and looked so cheap and unfinished. The differences were so noticable and cant believe she thought she could rip me off how she did. The owner blamed the designer for the poor quality and unfinished work. I explained I wasnt happy and asked for my deposit money back or I would be taking it up with the designer. Thankfully I did receive the full deposit refund but just cant believe she tried to rip me off like that and get away with it. Its put me right back and now had to reorder it elsewhere and I wont be receiving it until 3 weeks before my wedding. So just to warn any brides to be to not trust or visit Celebrations in Enfield, total rip off and horrible experience.
