Rush, Camden

I am a bit older than the average client and have a lung condition so I get breathless quite easily. In the past I've felt awkward in salons because of this. Rush is different. The receptionist is lovely and really puts you at ease. The young girl and boy who wash hair and get coffee are fantastic. The stylist I had the first time really thought about what would work for me. Went with highlights and cut. He did a brilliant job and it's one of the best haircuts I've ever had. Even I can manage to keep it looking pretty good. The salon is clean and comfortable and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. I'm just about to rebook.

I have been coming to rush Camden for about a year and have always been satisfied with the service . Recently though they have a new manager who I just want to say is incredible. She really seems to care about both the clients and the staff and was extremely professional when dealing with a query I had . the person I dealt with who did my hair was great and the salon had a great atmosphere. Five stars.

When i walked into Rush i noticed a bubbly, friendly atmosphere from the get go!! I've never been to a rush but i noticed a lot of them around. I spotted the shampoos outside and me being me said i go to have a look and buy something small to see if i like it. The ladies at reception were so friendly and i got loads of advice on my Kerastase purchases. I was so happy with what i seen and enjoyed getting a lot of advice which i needed.

Now I know where i'll be booking for my hair appointment.

I visited Rush Camden today at a last resort due to all my other stylists in Camden being unavailable. I must admit having afro, natural hair and using "generally European" hair salons its always hit and miss. it usually takes some really bad cuts for me to find a good stylist. However, I was very please with Channon the afro stylist I had. At the beginning she sat down next to me to discuss my hair type, texture and expectations. I felt very confident with her from the off. after washing my hair she talked me through what she was doing. once dry, she then talked me through the cut. A massive mistake with afro hair is cutting to much off. But Channon, talked me through the options to get the best cut I could with my hair. She was very comfortable with my hair type and knew exactly how to cut off the split ends without losing to much length. I'm only in the UK every 3 months but she is now the stylist I will use in the future. Extremely happy customer and would definitely recommend her for natural afro hair.

Had my hair completely restyled by them. He took the time to talk through all the options and I'm very pleased all round

I have never experienced such terrible customer service in my entire life. I went in for a hair cut as I wanted to make some changes to my hair colour and hair length, but it seemed that they were too busy to bother to speak to me, when the hair stylist started working on my hair, she didn't even bother to consult me properly, at the end of the treatment when I pointed out that I was unhappy with the cut and that the colour was lighter than I had requested, they kept insisting that that's the exact colour that I had asked for, so I ended up spending £100+ for a terrible cut & colour. AVOID.

Very nice vibe in the salon just like Camden itself. Shannon was very friendly, professional and made me feel welcomed. I left the salon feeling happy with the Ombre (dark roots and the rest honey blonde)Thanks Shannon!

I booked an appointment with the salon to have my damaged ends cut off and paid £45, I returned home to find my cut was completely lopsided.

This in itself wouldn't have been so bad but the aftermath was what led me to write a negative review.

I returned to the salon to (politely) notify the management of what I had noticed and her response was a cold "have you washed it, because that will even it out" - water is not magical - to which I responded I had never had this problem before.

Eventually, with some pushing, she very reluctantly allowed a hairdresser to take a look at it and even my hair out.

I will definitely not be returning and would encourage others to do the same.

Had an appointment booked for 10am Sunday arrived and was told that my stylist was ruining late waited 20 mins only to be told that she wasn't coming in and that they didn't know where the other stylist was and that they could only rebook me a new appointment which was unacceptable avoid like the plague very unprofessional salon.

Been there yesterday being attracted by their 50% off on your first visit. Didn't go to a Stylist as I said I don't want my hair being cut by the newest guy in town so I choosed a Director - Nichola. Instead of nice blended layers I ended up with chopped hair like using a hatchet. God knows how much time I'll need now to grow my hair back without looking like a freak. Customer service is alright ( if I forget to mention the fact that I was already sitted by a nice girl on a chair for about 15 min when the lady from reception called me to ask if I forgot about my appointment) however the girl cutting my hair...hope I'll never meet her again.
