****avoid This Company At All Costs!!!***** I Can

****AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!!***** I CAN imagine what it's like to get to Male Airport only to find out your honeymoon has been cancelled, because Maldives-resorts did exactly that, to my husband and I in January 2011. We were due to spend a week in the Maldives for our honeymoon (which was booked in March 2010)and arrived in Male airport ready for the honeymoon of our dreams...only to be told by a rep from our resort that our booking had been cancelled and we weren't allowed on the Island. We were then advised that the resort never recieved our money and had been chasing the company for months with no response. Apparently this wasn't the first time this had happened and they had since blacklisted maldives-resorts..(yet they are still advertising the resort on their website!!)

We spent 10 hours in the airport frantically calling Maldives resorts and even rearranged our flights back home to the UK. However, only after 9 hours of ringing did we LUCKILY manage to get hold of maldives-resorts, who apologised claiming they had paid it, but nevertheless, would pay again on their credit card. We lost a whole day of our holiday and made the last sea plane by the skin of our teeth.

We have tried to complain to the company since our return home, but funny enough...no one has ever picked up the phone.

They are not ATOL or ABTA registered and their registration number doesn't appear to exist if you try looking it up.

They were approximately £200 cheaper than anyone else..but don't be tempted..it cost us that much in phone bills trying to rectify the problem!!

***AVOID AT ALL COSTS***

All I Can Say Is Do Not Book With This Company!!!!

All i can say is DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!! we had our honeymoon booked through this company for May 2011 ( 4 months time) and this was booked last May!

They have gone into administation, but for some reason there website is still up and running!

They have completley ruined the run up to what was ment to be a honeymoon of a lifetime!

Saying they are atol protected when they are not, saying they have booked us into our hotel when they havent, saying they have sorted out our transfers when they havent and the list goes on! Can you imagen if we had got there (as flights we booked seperate) to be told we wernt booked in and our transfers were not booked! So again do NOT book with this company, they also go under a few other names so be warned and be careful... check whoever your booking with is definutley Atol protected ( they say they are but they aint)

I'd hate to think other people have to go through this, hotels should have this company black listed!!!

I hate Maldives Resorts

Avoid At All Costs!!!! This Travel Agent Is Probab

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! This travel agent is probably going bust or at least has serious cash flow issues.... Indian Ocean Resorts, Maldives Resorts and Caribean Hotels are all different trading names of the same agent.

We booked a two week at Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu for 2 and another week at the same resort for a friend for Nov-10.

Although we paid in Maldives-Resorts in full two months before the holiday, they did not pay our money over to the hotel. Our holiday was ruined by having to chase Maldives-Resorts everyday for the last week of our stay. No-one in the office was able to help us sort this out (not even the managers). We sent at least 7 e-mails, copying the reservations team, their manager and the director of the company. They did not respond to any of the e-mails and did not return any of our frantic calls.

It was not only the three of us that were left stranded out there. There was also another couple on the island that had the same problem. In the end, the hotel informed us that the director of Maldives-Resorts paid for the other couple + one of us on his credit card, but until we left the resort, no money has been paid to the resort for two of us. It was not easy to convince the hotel to let two of us leave without paying again (it cost GBP2500 per person!), but we were successful in the end. We have been told by Coco Palm that they have now blacklisted this agent and will no longer accept bookings from them due to this non-payment issue.

This travel agent is not an ATOL or ABTA member - another reason to avoid them

Booked Our Honeymoon Through Maldives-resorts.co.u

Booked our honeymoon through maldives-resorts.co.uk. They failed to make our reservation with the hotel until a few days before we arrived,(even though we booked a month in advance) so the transfer wasn't available and neither was the water bungalow we booked. We had to wait 5 hours for a seaplane transfer, even though fellow travellers departed within 30 minutes. After a 10 hour flight it was really upsetting. On arrival at the island, we were told the water bungalow would only be ours for 3 days and we would have to move. the hotel blamed the agent and said we would have to contact them to find out what happened. I emailled immediately and checked for a reply for 3 days before calling them and trying to find out why our booking hadn't been made. They blamed the hotel, but said they would try to sort it out. That was the last we heard from them. We were left to fight/argue with the hotel to try to get the holiday we booked - a pretty unpleasant experience and not at all what we wanted on our honey moon. I have never been so pleased to leave a hotel. We felt completely harrassed by the hotel trying to get us to move.

Emails to maldives-resorts.co.uk have been largely ignored, they continue to blame the hotel. Either way it was a really really poor honeymoon. Chose an agent who is ABTA bonded - then at least there is some recourse.

Disaster! Via This On-line Agency Booked 4 Nights

Disaster! Via this on-line agency booked 4 nights at the Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu resort, Maldives, at the end of trip to India. Paid for hotel and seaplane to hotel in advance -2768 $US. Discovered on arrival in India that Indian government has new rule - once you enter and leave, you cannot return for at least two months. So had to cancel the Maldives - a full week in advance! And were told we would lose 100% of our hotel AND our seaplane transfer! I understand losing something - but 100%? And it's not like we changed our minds. Nowhere in agency's cancellation policy is there even the vaguest hint that you could lose everything that far in advance - even for something like this which certainly looks like Force Majeure! Outrageous!
