Fantastic 8 Weeks From Plan To Finish

Had a fantastic experiance from start to finish read a bad reveiw but can say that i had no problems what so ever from the planning to the design and fit i was kept well informed of the build progress i am usualy a very fussy person and had no problems with tony and his team first rate work from start to finish. i would recomend homesheild to any one THANKS very much from Paul and Julie GARSWOOD

Conservatory
Homeshield recently fitted a conservatory to our home. Overall the sales, communication, service and punctuality was first class. Very please with the workmanship and would highly recommend to others.

I just finished having a conservatory fitted by Homeshield (March 2012). I was asked to fill out this review by Tony after a phone call. The finished conservatory is very satisfactory (besides the few leaks that they sorted, before the final payment. One or two more leaks have appeared, waiting for the installation team to get back to us). The workmen were friendly and clean in their work and more then happier to go the extra yard for us. Price was good among my quotes.

Company From Hell
Made my life a nightmare for 20 weeks. Job was only completed after threats from Trading standards. Left rubble all over the garden, messy workers who once the 3rd stage payment had been made often failed to turn up when thay had said they would, had to constantly call to find out what was happening. Walls were built the wrong size for frames. There were loose breeze blocks all over. Waited 10 weeks for glass (that I had paid for) to be delivered and fitted. Absolutley no customer care from this company. Steer well clear.
Hi I have recently had the same issues with this company and they should not be able to continue as the evedence I have received to date that they do not use qualified tradesmen is unbelievable and this comes from their own workmen. They have yet again gone into liquidation and opened up as NORTHWEST DESIGN AND BUILD LTD 153 Newton Rd, Lowton and will be taking larger sums of money from vulnerable people. I have gone to great lengths with the help of some very proffesional people to ensure this company is unable to continue trading and I would really appreciate any evidence I can get, if you could provide me with any details etc.

Hi I have recently had the same issues with this company who have yet again gone into liquidation and set up as NORTHWEST DESIGN AND BUILD LTD at 153 Newton Road Lowton and are now taking larger sums of money off people. I have gone to great lengths with the help of some very proffesional people to take this matter further to prevent this family from trading again and would appreciate all the evidence I can get so that no more vulnerable people can be ripped off.

This review is the complete truth about the utterly dreadful company Homeshield. I don't know where all these positive comments are coming from because the workers that they have recently taken on say that all the customers are unhappy with them and paid up the final balance after the limited company under the Homeshield umbrella went into liquidation at the end of 2011. They seem to have had quite a number of limited companies - make of that what you will. They don't care one jot about their customers - like leaving a conservatory open to the elements over the Christmas period. I only hope that one day they will feature on the cowboy builders programme.

The final balance is a small amount but the last stage payment is due long before completion.

I would like to say that for the first phone call to the end product all the way I was treated very well by all that were involved.
They listen to what I would like and always with respect guided me to what would be best for me and my pocket, as we are all individuals.
On the day of fitting the workforce were polite and happy in their work, and left my home in a clean condition, I would have trusted them with anything in my home.
As this is a family run business, it shows as they treat people as if they are part of the family nothing is to big or small a job for them and they will give you 110% everytime.
I will not hesitate to use this firm again in the future.

You are right about the tradesmen producing a quality level of workmanship , but sadly wrong about the rest , the company is a complete joke , you must either work there or be one of the family . All the workforce are sub contractors who they by the sounds of things don't bother to pay or never pay for weeks at a time thats why they never finish a job within a reasonable time and it drags on and on , avoid this company like the plague you have been warned

Double Storey Extension Homeshield
We recently had a double storey extension and I can't fault the service we received. The work was completed on time and our home was treated with respect. We had no problems and are more than satisfied with the extension and the workmanship. They were friendly, polite and considerate and we have recommended them to our family and friends who were also impressed by the standard of work. Thanks Homeshield.

so goo dthey are now in liquidation, owing LOTS of people hard earned money which they dont care about...
this company should be stopped from trading they demand money from clients and when theres little left in the kitty they dont care if the work is completed or not i am a subcontractor ive completed work for them and owed alot of money which they will not pay i will see them in court along with many others
picky???? u try still chasing them up 9 months later for all the essential legal paperwork, damp patches in your house, unfinished work, bullying salespeople and an owner who wont take criticism and slams the phone down! not picky mate, just very unlucky and i am not the only one by a long shot! they are not affiliated to any building control / standards organisations and use a private company for building regs not the council...wonder why that is?

I made my initial enquiry for a porch, through the web, and was contacted by homeshield within a couple of hours. An appointment was made when it suited me, not like the others I had approached who wanted me to fit in with them and insisted that both me and my wife were present. The sales man came and was very approachable not pushy at all, gave me a price then left, and followed it up by email. One of the other companies sat around for hours wanting me to sign there and then. I decided to go with Homeshield, and knew I had made the right decision. There was an initial problem with the 1st installation date but that was soon sorted and the workmen couldnt do enough to make sure I was happy with the work. My porch looks great and neighbours have commented on what a difference it makes. I also got a follow up call a few weeks later to make sure everything was ok. Cant praise Homeshield enough, Thank you for a great job
