Good Experience In The Village

This is a really good location for skiing! The apartments look really beautiful! They should put the place on ECrent.com, the world's largest rental platform and advertise for this place. I am sure more people will be interested in here! Register now with the account "France", you can post three items for free.

Val D'isere Is A Beautiful Town With Great Skiing

Val D'Isere is a beautiful town with great skiing and snowboarding opportunities. When we were there, the weather was great and the slopes were excellence.

That's where the good news ends. Hotel Vieux village is worse than any hostels I've stayed in. Ski France will try to tell you it's rustic but really, it's freezing, dirty, the service is horrible and the food is verging on criminally bad. One night we were served Cottage Pie - the ground beef underneath the mash was completely raw, red and bloody. When this was pointed out to the chef, he tried to tell us that it was tomato paste (it wasn't). On another occasion we were served a dish that consisted of lettuce, covered in creamy baked potatoes that were undercooked and completely hard, covered in bacon fat. It was the worst. In addition to this, on the staff day off, when we went down into the kitchen area it was filthy with rotting food and meat.

After I got home, I emailed Ski France about the issues and despite following up with them three or four times, I never got a response. Basically, they don't care about their customers. Most of us were suffering from bad stomachs and food poisoning throughout our entire week there. The staff are basically a bunch of kids who really just couldn't care less. One afternoon the chef was sitting in the lounge complaining about having to cook when he is so hung over.

My trip was not cheap compared to other Ski vacations I've been on and it was far and away the very worst vacation of my life, made even worse by the fact that Ski France can't even be bothered to respond to my complaint.

My advise - never use Ski France.
