I sold some stuff I no longer needed on Facebook, thay stoped my card frozen my account so I counted get access, told me to go home and take photos of what I'm selling, send it to them, then told me that thay could do what thay want and stol my money and said we are not a bank we are a on line service and we can do what we want... SO PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS CARD,,,YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR MONEY AND GET TOLD TO TAKE PHOTOS AND SCREEN SHOTS AND THEN THAY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO. BE WARNED.

The worst bank I have dealt with and they harass you by phoning you with requests for information that is absolutely irrelevant. I had a lucky escape and am glad I will not be using them in the future ever again.

If I can prevent one person reading this review from signing up for an account, then the time I wasted to write this review has been worth it. DO NOT EVER SIGN UP FOR AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM. Cardonemoney is a online banking company with unreachable customer service that you have to pay for (you have to pay for their time on the phone with you). this isn't even about the high fees they charge. My experience is about the difficulty I had in accessing my money after having an account with them for 2 years. they are using multiple types of schemes to make it difficult to access your account so they can continue to earn interest in the money that is being held in your account. long waits for customer service, website not working at times, and changing the way to login in to make it more difficult to get into your account. I was having issues with accessing my account because all of a sudden the online login asked for 2 step authentication but I never received any info for setting this up so it sent me in an endless loop of not being able to access the account. When I called customer service to try to get set up properly so i can start accessing my account, I was asked all my personal info including company email, address, name, date of birth, account number and still did not authenticate me to give me access.  Then they literally stopped answering my calls.  I can’t believe this was happening.  When I called the next day to try to get a different rep, the person literally hung up on me, I tried to call several times and no answer.  This is their main customer service number and I could not believe this was how they were addressing me not being able to access my account. At this point I realized so I sent them a threatening message letting them know that I would be pursuing legal action. It was only after I threatened to sue and blast their behavior on the internet someone finally gave me my account access so I could get my money out as fast as I could and never have to deal with them again. They use to be cardonebanking and changed to caronemoney. think about it. they have no banking rules and protection being offered to the customer so they didn't want to be liable and changed the "banking" part of their name to "money". The bottom of the site mentions this: The CardOneMoney current account is not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.

You MUST never even consider using their services. They have caused my partners business more hassle than you would ever believe. There are NO senior Managers to deal with. Nobody gives answers. They have taken our money for nearly three weeks, closed our account and nobody knows where the substantial amount of money is..........

Hi Got as far as ordering the card which duly arrived. Upon reading the reviews, I have decided not to activate the card or continue this any further. The first clue should've been the 11 pence a minute phone line that you have to ring. What business uses 0871 phone lines nowadays? Seriously folks, read the reviews and then make a decision. But my advice is, save yourself a lot of heartache and AVOID! Give Starling a go.

Dear CEO of CardOneBanking and Head of Banking Services  Forgive me for my English. I was not born here. Hope your potential customers will understand, and I have no care in the world if you will. I am the owner of a business and I have a story to tell. The story is about UK entrepreneurs and UK financial institutions. This story is about me and you. On June 19th, 2014 the sum of about 70000 Euros, paid by my African client, reached Cardonebanking. The payment was just a small deposit towards the production of customised office telecom equipment. It took me a few months to bring the clients to a decision. It took us ( me, the factory, IT teams and the client) 6 months to put the whole project together. Samples, testing, coordinating everyone involved in Asia, Africa, and Europe. It took my client and his bank months to get hard-currency to make the payment. Hard job Mr. CEO You must try one day. On June 19th, 2014 someone from your "bank' called me and told me that the payment will be returned to the payer. Why? Mr. CEO. ? It is your "bank". Maybe it was a money laundry? or maybe drugs? Was my company not big enough? not the right turnover? or maybe some other lunatic idea icame to the mind of your employer, who decided to just return the payment after he received the copies of the invoices and 100s of emails exchanged between me and my client. Who cares about the customer? Who gives you right to ask for all the information? Your employee didn't even know the meaning of " Proforma Invoice" Who gives you the right to make me send you all the confidential papers and then you send the money back before the last document was even received. Was the idiot who ruined months of hard work of many people trained by you? Was he trained at all? Just last question Mr. CEO of Cardonebanking. ( before anyone accuses me rightly of being out of line and unprofessional) The payment was returned on June 19th. It is July 4th and the money have not reached my client. Your "bank" refused to send me a payment advise Can you then please kindly tell me: Where are the f money Mr. CEO?

On the 29th March I went to a atm machine a place where I would normally get money out off. On this occasion I put my pin number in and waited for the money for 5 minutes. No money came out could not understand why. The shop owner range the people who told me that it will be sorted and I would get my money back. When I range card one banking to inform them I was told the investigation will take 45 days. I have never felt so stress I ask for a reference number so I would not have to keep on explaining my self they declined to give me one. Ask for a letter stating for them to tell me what steps will they take for this problem. They have not kept me informed at all. I have worked so hard. And I felt very disappointed and upset with what has happened to me. Never in my life have I ever experienced this. A bank is meant to keep you informed with something like this. I have to say thank God for my sister who is my strength I still can't believe this has happened to me they have no compassion and they do not care. Very said to say

“Red tape machine”

If you are after a bank that will give you non stop nightmares, this is were you should open an account. It took me ages to get the account open, than I got funds wich they blocked cause the beneficiary name was slightly wrongly spelled. I opened with them cause I thought I'll have an account up and running in no time, wich was vital to me because we were in a hurry, instead I'm stuck with a bank that doesn't stop excusing themselves "we are no bank"

I have had a Current Account with Card One Banking over 2 years now and recently opened a Business Account as well. Been reading all the negative reviews regarding Customer Service which in my own experience is unfounded as every time I have had to contact Customer Services I have found them to be very polite and very helpful. If you compare the Card One Account with any other High Street bank "basic" account you will see that you can do much much more with your Card One Account. Yes it may have its slight limitations but after a while you will easily workaround them. Thank you.

“Fed up with the high street banks.”

Had a cardonebanking account for a short while and can honestly say it works very well for me. The account works as per their web site, non of my money goes anywhere without I get a text message, even get a text message when money paid in, great. When I request my card be loaded, its loaded and a text message tells me when its ready to use, and when I need to see my spending, there it is on line, where I spent it, when, and how much. It works for me and I would recommend it.

“Not keen on retaining customers, are they?”

I lost my password when I moved house recently. I rang CardOne up to request a new one, and was told that I needed to provide proof of my new address. I have sent several letters since the end of November, all of which they refused. They said my Voter's Roll confirmation looked like it had been photocopied. They never had any doubts about my identity on the phone, though. In the end, I asked for a final statement so I could close it, but they refused saying there was now a block on the account until I proved my new address. Over the weekend, a manager promised to look into why my proof of address had been refused and get back to me. She never did. Today, I got fed up and asked them to close it any way. Yes, CardOne is one of those services for "desperate" customers, but such customers are people too. "Desperate" is only an adjective for when they do sign up. They will not stay desperate forever. When their circumstances change, they make money, surely it makes sense for a business to at least make the effort to retain their custom? I feel they ought to lose the "computer says no" attitude, and deal with customers as people.

Disgraceful I wish I'd of listened to people's reviews online before joining your bank. It's disgusting how you charge an arm an a leg just for checking your balance, phone calls etc. You have got people in a trap because you know they either have bad creditor bad history and I tell you something now I wouldn't recommend you to anyone in a million years and I shall be closing my account down once I go elsewhere

“FAKE BANK XMAS & NEW YEAR RUINED AFTER DEPOSIT...”

This bank ruined our Christmas and new year as I had money transferred into this account but then could not get a balance when I tried calling their number and all over the bank holiday, so when I finally got through to them today to find out what was going on they said we have locked your account and have taken your clear balance of over £355.00 after the money transfer had gone in as you have given your card details to someone who has now drawn out in excess of £2000.00 Yes IN EXCESS OF TWO THOUSAND POUNDS, they then went on to say we need our money back within the next 24 hours or there will be trouble at your door can you pay this now. Worst bank I have ever dealt with, when I asked to speak to the fraud dept they will not transfer you just the same if you ask for a manager, buy the way I don’t think they have a fraud dept as these guys are just in a law to themselves as the money that was transferred into my account and the cleared balance would have come to around £360.00, but now they have told me that they are keeping all the funds due to this fake transaction that they allege as I have given my card details to some stranger apparently, however this is news to me . I have now gone to the POLICE about this and have also seen all the negative reviews that this company has, watch out account holders these guys are professionals Remember a debit card is a debit card and not a credit card as these guys are trying to make out, I have never known anyone to be able to go 1) overdrawn and two to the extent of over £2000.00 in one transaction ARE THEY FOR REAL DO NOT PUT YOUR MONEY WITH THIS BANK THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU What a load of rubbish, all ok when you go to set the account up but when they see money coming in they go on the take you have to call the police in as I have done, next step watchdog, rogue traders, AND trading standards Ect SEE YOU IN COURT GUYS DONT BE LATE AS TIME IS MONEY

i am disabled bad eye sight and i pay a fee to card one banking but what do i get ? i have been a VICTIM of fraud on my account so i have reported to the police but i have been left with 23p to last me 2 weeks and card one say they wont put back my money i noticed the fraud transactions due to go out but they would not stop them the dwp said the bank should put back my money because i am now in hardship so i have just joined another bank and reading the small print in my new account they tell me if i did not recolonize any transactions they will correct and put the money back into my account SO ANYONE THAT IS THINKING OF JOINING AVOID AT ALL COSTS BECAUSE YOUR MONEY IS NOT PROTECTED

“Worst account ever and the most costly run by muppets”

One of the most unhelpful organisations I have ever had the misfortune to use. Very quick to misquote non existing terms and conditions at you to justify their ineptitude and when they are caught out they simply refuse to talk to you. There is a word to describe them but I'm not allowed to use it here. The best advice I can give to anyone even remotely thinking of going to them for what they laughingly call service is DONT. I guarantee that if you do you will regret it and at some point they will rip you off! I am currently waiting for the Financial Obudsman to sort out my complaint with them. That should tell you all you need to know. A bigger bunch of you know what's, I have never come across.

No it's not they refuse to allow me to complain over the phone , even the ombudsman is having a hard time , I opened my account a year ago , now I have to prove my residency they blocked my account and refused me to get to my invalidity benifit quoting temprms and condition even this I got your t&c no where does its state you can susspent accounts and withhold fund over address discrepancy , all I have been met with is dont care won't care and not interested even when I pointed out I need my money fir food and heating bill as I have Lund disease I got told by CARD ONE BANKING. That's not their problem and then quote t&c 1.5 , which states nothing about suspending g account due to a small address discrepancy,

“Ruined my weekend”

having finally got a weekend off work, I tried to put money onto my card from my current account yesterday at 11am, the automated phone system claims my funds will be available within one hour, it is now close to 2pm on Sunday and my money is STILL not available. I have not had any money during this time, ruining my weekend and also made me unable to buy a birthday present I had planned to get. In addition, the £12.50 monthly charge is ridiculous for an account that doesn't function to its basic requirements....I've also been charged an extortionate £20 in phone calls for simply checking to see if MY money had cleared on my card, I am absolutely disgusted with your service cardone, it is nothing short of criminal, you are simply out to make money out of your shoddy service that barely works, advertising yourselves to people who are in need and have had financial difficulties. As soon as I can open another account, I will be closing my cardone account.

“Shocking Customer service and a blocked card for no reason”

I opened my account with cardone banking around a month ago. The card took nearly 3 weeks to arrive with me. I then had to ring an overpriced phone number to get my pin number. Then thew same overpriced number to get an online password sent out which still has not arrived. Today I have had some money paid in to my account which the bank has accepted. I then tried to use the money to no avail. Upon ringing the overpriced phone number again I have learnt that they have put a block on my card meaning I can not access my own money and when I asked them for a reason there reply was we dont know. Surely if someones card is blocked the company is duty bound to give a reason. I asked the company how can this be rectified and they sald they needed to see proof of my address which is not a problem to me, But they have sent me a postal address to send the documentation which is absolutely absurd and to make matters worse it can take 7-10 working days for my card to be unblocked and this is bound to actually mean another 3 weeks. The company has a customer services email which is a waste of time as they do not reply. They have a facebook page that again no one replies to. Not happy with the level of service I have received from day one with this company and even unhappier that they have left me with no way of paying my bills or doing any shopping. So if you require easy access to your money then please choose another bank which I wish I had have done from the start. Financial services ombudsman have been informed and I will be proceeding to take this matter a lot further.

It has been resolved by me not using your banking service and it has been my best financial decision of 2016. I will never atempt to use this business in the future and have passed my experiences on to work colleagues and friends and family. Absolutely ridiculous business I have had to ever deal with. Hopefully the financial ombudsman will shut this business down sooner rather than later

I opened an account with card one banking online. while opening my account online i had already placed my address down onto the application and everything had gone through. Card one banking now sent me my sort code number and account number by via text to confirm that my bank account has been open, they also mention on the text message that my card will be arriving soon. i waited up to almost 2 weeks... which is very bad. I decided to give them a call to find out why my bank card is taking so long, they now told me it is because i have not put my door number so i ask them what can i do to sort out the situation they now told me i need to send it a proof of address which can be a letter from my GP or a letter from my college, they also mention and said it can be any letter with my address on it and the letter has to be 3 months old. So i did everything they told me to do and i got a terrible out come reason for that is because i rang in the next day and they told me a different story all together that they do not take letters that are 3 months old it has to be 2 weeks old. so i got a letter that was a week old from my GP again and i sent it off to them and now they are telling me that they do not take letters that are from your GP. honestly i am tired i need that money to travel for Christmas and my landlord wants to kick me out cause i have not paid my house rent plus i have explained what i am going through please all i want to do is to make a transaction to my cousin account but if anything happens to me i will send you guys to the police because it is not fare my full address is there if i didn't mention my card not coming they wouldn't have even know. please i need to get this sorted before christmas

“Worst company ever.”

Recently opened an account with them, transferred funds over from Paypal to pay for a plane ticket - Funds never hit the card, funds now currently in Limbo. Cardone say its Paypals problem, Paypal say its Cardones problem. Card one are withholding my money without giving it back to me in a moment of urgency for flight booking. Paypal transaction is completed and they have the money on their end, but won't return it. It isn't their money, it's mine. Tempted to get the police involved in this case as the unintelligent "customer service" people are utterly useless and this company is beyond joke. The premium number adds more to the cause. It's like it's a scheme to get extra money from customers any way possible. Please never ever sign up to this company. I will be leaving at the first instance. I have never dealt with such a ridiculous company, I am going to take this as far as I can go. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. AVOID AT ALL COST.

I'm really struggling to get into my online banking. I have my new password and username, I'm putting it in correctly. But when I type the text it is not coming up in the boxes and its not my phone because on login page there is search bar and it types words in fine in that. What can I do to get me on it as I'm not happy that I can't access it.
