I Bought This Machine Some Years Ago - I Know That

I bought this machine some years ago - I know that the warranty has run out, but,,,,,

I didn't use it a great deal to begin with. One reason for this was that it didn't seem to get hot enough to 'frazzle' a steak quick enough to leave it Rare on the inside.

At this point, I do not know of a machine that gets any hotter - so please feel free in informing me.

The problem with this well known and old, old brand item, is that the non-stick has started to come off.

I realise that it's a couple of years old now, but I think it's only been used about 20 times,,,, or a couple of months work I guess.

I dropped Russell Hobbs a line, to let them know about this, as I'm a big believer in 'feedback' - without it a Company has no idea what's happening at street level.

What I got back was a 'standardised' letter saying that they sell thousands of them and that they are made well ! They did invite me to send it in - at my own cost - & they would tell me what happened ! To be fair, I rekkon they would just say it was 'user error'. As a now disabled ex hotelier (still using non stick pans from the 60's !!) I think I know how to look after my kitchen gear.

Be that as it may - I won't be rushing to buy this brand as a replacement, and I'd be pleased to hear of other recommended brands / model in this line.
