Need To Management

I couldn't believe my eyes. Two kids and a women walked straight out of the workshop in Didcot auto centre. These kids belonging to a rude person. I'm a health and social manager so you know I was putting my nose in, so I did make a comment about it and was told its fine it isn't that dangerous in a rude manner. I said well excuse me but that is and who are you to them, he replied I'm the dad.. I'm such a pig ish and most villest way possible. Like to emotion. Think he just came up from the grave.

Anyway, he walked off I ask reception who's the manager here. To which there reply was, you just spoke ti him. So him this pig, being a manager letting vulnerable children enter a dangerous place. Not only that so so rude. As not been requested I can't do further more but I would to check further more about him. Very sketchy to me.

Issues With Staff

I had a full service and MOT on my car yesterday. When I opened the door to drive away there was a pinging sound The mechanic was yards away in the workshop.I asked him if he knew what was causing the sound he said it could be the light switch which it wasn,t.His attitude was unhelpful, and when I told him this sound was not usual he said if I didn,t like this feature I should maybe change my car for one that did not do this. This was said in an aggressive manner , and when I asked him not to be so rude I was told I have an attitude problem. I contacted the car makers who suggested it could be the hazard or fog light left on which is what it turned out to be. I rang the receptionist at Didcot Auto Center and told her what had happened, not particularly interested, but said she would look in to it. I know they were very busy, staff off sick or away, but that is no excuse for such rudeness and lack of service. The mechanic could have fixed it in two minutes.Needless to say ,I will not recommend this auto center and will not be returning,

Incompetence By The Bucket

Unfortunately I put my trust in these idiots. My car was returned to me in pieces and was told to find a more capable garage. WARNING their parent company is now in liquidation. If you like your car I suggest you take it elsewhere

Costly Lack Of Competence

Brought them our non-running Fiat Scudo and told them to check the EGR valve. They denied this was the culprit and sent us into a £900 diagnosis and unsuccessful repair of the injection system. All to no avail, so we had to sell the non-running car to a polish trader far below value. From that buyer we then learned that he simply cleaned the EGR valve (€30 repair) and the Fiat was running again. In total the financial loss to us amounts to £3200, all caused by DAC's incompetence to diagnose a simple fault.

Meanwhile, DAC apologised for the faulty diagnosis and offered a 50% reduction of their bill in compensation.

Polite But Poor

We have used Didcot auto centre for a few years now and for the most part and for minor jobs they have been good. the staff are really polite and helpful. Unfortunately our car has had to go into their garage for two major problems over the last year and whilst they have been helpful in trying to diagnose the problem they have been utterly ineffective and cost us a great deal of money and still not fixed the problem or as it would now appear, not investigated it thoroughly. I took the car in, only to pick it up and get to the end of their road to find the car was still making the same horrendous noise I had taken it in for, I was charged £45 for nothing that day, since been refunded after arguing the case. We have now take our car to another garage who within 1 hour if having the car had identified the two problems that had remained a mystery for the last year and fixed them for a third less than we were quoted at Didcot auto Centre. I think Didcot Auto Centre try hard but clearly don't have the knowledge or experience for any serious problems. I would definitely not recommend them after our experience and I will not be taking my custom back to the again.

You Decide?

I usually take my car to an authorised main dealer but felt i would give local businesses my support. I had an electrical fault with my headlights. The outcome was £60 for a new bulb and new fuse, however i did check the fuses myself before hand but couldn't find any blown ones... My fog also lights stopped working and then started working again the day before i took it in and so it appears either certain fuses can now "repair" themselves, or there is still an electrical issue that has been overlooked by the garage.I have also had to put back the internal panels covering the fuse box inside, which isnt a big thing, but i would have thought for £60 it would have been put back to normal by the mechanics. Did they fix the fault? Yes. Do i think there is still an underlying issue that wasn't fixed? Yes. Was the price reasonable for the repair? No. Would i go again or recommend to a friend? No. Nothing against the garage, just being honest, and just think there are better garages around Didcot that offer a better service for less.

Faultless Work, Great Price, Got Me Out Of Real Trouble

My clutch packed up going down the A34, the RAC towed me to Didcot Auto Centre, and they really pulled out all the stops to get me back on the road. Really helpful in pointing me towards a good van hire firm(Rabbits) and helpful when returning the hire van back. Great firm they really got me out of trouble. Cant praise them enough.

Fantastic Service

I recently moved to Didcot, and needed my MOT done asap. I booked it in for today.

Upon arrival, I found the staff there all very welcoming.

Free (good) coffee was offered upstairs in the waiting area, and the receptionist was lovely to talk to.

There were only two minor faults with my car, the service received was very quick and the faults rectified very quickly.

I would certainly recommend them, and will be using them for anything I need doing, as will my partner.
