Website clearly mentions money back guarantee Website initially did NOT stipulate any sizes of the mentioned offer products Woman changed all the terms and conditions after speaking with me to limit sizes of products allowed However, did allow me to purchase a larger bag for my pet under the 100% money back guarantee The no quibble guarantee is with 100% quibble Refuses to give money back despite site saying I can get full refund and keep the product Company wants product back??? Why write on website what you don't mean Many other honest pet shops out there with excellent customer service AVOID this company

“Awful site”

Awful site. Ordered a gecko tank and it came with only half the things in it. The stuff is rubbish quality and nothing like the picture. Refused a refund. Avoid where possible and go to trusted Pets at Home!

I ordered gourmet liver sausages at x72 packets.. ALL CAME DRY AND SMELLING FUNNY. GONE OFF. STILL IN DATE BUT BAD PRODUCT YET THEY REFUSE TO REFUND. Money hungry and bad service

“No delivery”

I have been waiting over a month for the cat food I ordered. So initially I thought it was taking long because of Corona. But this is ridiculous. I emailed customer service a week ago - no reply. I filled in their online contact form three days ago - no reply. I really don’t know what to do next. I’ve been feeling extremely anxious that it’s some kind of spoof website. I can’t see any reviews on the website which makes me wonder if it’s legit??I could really do without all this surplus anxiety. In the meantime, I’m struggling to get cat food elsewhere and was counting on this shipment.

Still waiting For delivery after nearly two months. Had an email over a month ago advising my order would be delivered the next day - still waiting. They don’t respond to emails / complaints and don’t answer the phone. All you get is standard email response asking you to allow up to 14 days for delivery due to high demand - come on guys it’s been two months!! I would say it’s an appalling service but all they’ve done is take my money so, no service provided.

“DO NOT TRADE WITH THEM!”

Ordered 21st March and told delivery for 24th-26th March. Claimed to have shipped on the 31st March via DPD and said DPD are experiencing backlog and would be slow. After failing to contact Pet Express by phone and getting automated email replies, contacted DPD on 11th April and they say the tracking number doesn't exist and their deliveries are normal. So that makes I shall now attempt to get my money back. Be warned, I'm one of many customers experiencing exactly the same problem, being given the same excuses and using DPD as their scapegoat!

Ordered goods on 20th march. No good received. They've Taken my money. No communication from them. I've sent at least 6 emails now just asking for a refund, no communication still from them. Awful service. Do not use.

I ordered dog food and hen food, standard item, on 23 March. I was told they had despatched them on 1st April. As of 8th April and DPD have still not received them. They don't answer the telephone and you only get automated replies to emails. I think this is a company that don't deliver items. I am now seeking recovery of the money I paid. AVOID AVOID AVOID, Totally unreliable company taking advantage of Covid-19 to not deliver goods or front to enquiries.

I made and paid for two orders. The web site said that all my ordered goods were in stock. After a couple of days I received emails informing me that DPD would deliver next day. Items didn't arrive. DPD said they were aware the orders but these hadn't been collected. 10 days later first order arrived via DPD. I had order items totalling £35 in this order. The items delivered were similar but different and fewer goods valued at less than £12. Second order still hasn't arrived. No one answers the customer services number. Please avoid.

“No customer service ”

I ordered some food from The Pet Express for my puppy and chose this website as it promised short delivery times and I needed it asap. However, the times they promised on the website were not even closely matched in reality. The item was ordered on Wednesday evening and not dispatched until Friday afternoon. They did not respond to any form of contact chasing up my order - very evasive (or perhaps just literally have no customer service). They promise that they use a 'next day delivery service' once dispatched so, after initially thinking it would arrive on Friday, I was expecting the parcel on Saturday when I recieved the note to say it had been dispatched but no one came. When I went on the 'track your parcel' function, it said that they had tried to deliver the parcel that day, which they most certainly had not! The item eventually arrived on Tuesday - far from the 48 hours they promise and looked like it had been packaged by an overly eager 8 year old - in a plastic bag wrapped in reams and reams of sellotape. FFS. Never again!

“Poor delivery timescale and poor aftersales”

This is the first time I have used Pet Express and probably the last. My order was simply 4 small feed bowls and they took over a week to reach me from one county to another county!! I think this is poor and it should have taken 3 maybe 4 days maximum. I have since sent Pet Express an e-mail about my frustration with this (29th July) and it is the 4th August in which I am writing this review, so far six days have passed and I still haven't had a reply back. It looks as though they are slow in this department too!! I wonder if my review will be listed.......?

“Shoddy workmanship”

I purchased the 5 foot double tiered rabbit hutch. It arrived flatpacked but was easy to assemble. The wooden frame was thinner than it appeared in the photos on the website and the 4 bolts are totally inadequate and far too small for purpose. After just 3 days the screws fell out of one of the doors (assembled at factory, not part of home assembly)resulting in door hanging off one hinge> Thankfully the cover meant the rabbit could not escape!

i was very disappointed by this product it was poor quality and very unstable and as door open inwards it left very little space for enrichment toys. the delivery was also difficult as was a 8-6 delivery slot with no way of arranging a time wouldn't use the site again

“supposed " safe " therapeutic parrot perch”

THERAPEUTIC PARROT PERCH. £11.99 + £3.99 postage This perch is not safe and the quality is shockingly bad. When this arrived ,I did what all parrot owners do with a new product, I washed it for hygenic purposes in cold water..The coating immediately started to come away and the colour came off like water paint.When I had finished washing it the sink was full of red water and sand.The perch was almost bare of coating but not of colour which continued to leach.I then realised that this was not a safe product to put into the cage of my valuable bird. I then rang The Pet Express and was ultimately transferred to the "manager". He said that he would ring the manufacturer and get them to ring me direct on the next day. Of course , no one rang! I then sent a prompt Email to The Pet Express to advise them and try to activate a response to a serious complaint. They have not replied either. Do not chance this product with your pets.

Your review seems to echo mine - that customer service with this company is like a lottery. My labrador's food took over ten days to arrive and I was not advised that the other goods were out of stock. Frustrating.

The Pet Service gave me the worst online shopping experience ever (and I am a frequent online shopper). Onthe 12th of June I ordered a Pet Carrier Nr 1 Cranberry/ivory, and I paid for delivery to Switzerland, where I live. The delivery was meant to take up to 5 working days. Three weeks from placing the order, when nothing had arrived, I contacted them by e-mail asking for an update on my status order. No response. Three days later I sent another e-mail. No response. A week later I logged into my account on their website to see that my order has been cancelled - how? why? I was offered no explaination, not to mention no refund confirmation or anything of the sort. A month after placing the order, I have not received nor the item neither any communication from them. I believe I am fully justified in writing a negative review. I have never met with such a lack of customer service from any other online retailer. Bottom line: don't buy there. I certainly never will.

Ordered a cage as an Xmas present, when opened it was entirely wrong item and missing a number of pieces. The item sent was clearly a display model or already used.It was also very badly packaged. After sending emails and calling them to be told that the online business is not connected to the physical stores and they are unable to help. In total I had to contact them 6 times before someone actually agreed to collect the wrong item. After nearly a month of frustration, I finally got a full refund. All the staff I spoke to were utterly unhelpful and made excuse after excuse for their behaviour. Do yourself a favour and avoid these company.

“Never delivered goods/no refund!”

Awful service and unhelpful staff. Never order through their website! The goods were delivered to the wrong address initially. When we made enquiries it took them ages to get back to us and they kept diverting us to UK mail which is their delivery service. Never took responsibility and would not refund us as the delivery company changed their story and claimed that they left on front porch as instructed. At least via Amazon you get your refund with no hassle. All this hassle took more than a month and it is still not settled!
