Free trial lenses offer, applied successfully having bought many months lenses business from get lenses only to be emailed and told due to high demand no free trial lenses will be sent. Not as competitive on price either. Disappointing overall.

“Great for a 1st time customer”

Website is really good and was so pleased with the price on my first order. I get emails from get lenses all time for 10% off but they are only for new customers. It's all very well trying to get new customers but how about helping the ones that want to stay with you!

“Incorrect Order”

I ordered 2 packs over the phone but was charged for 4. I immediately spotted this - but it was too late and a refund had to be made - which I am still waiting for. I subsequently was told I would be charged a discount for the 2 packs I did want - but when I looked at the invoice the discount had not been applied. I rang again and hopefully will be credited for this discount too - although I am still waiting. I was told I would be sent emails confirming the refund - and I am still waiting for those. The staff have all been very helpful to speak to - but it would be better if more time were spent on training prior to letting them loose on the public!

“Purchase process is so difficult!”

I live in the Netherlands, and Getlenses has a .nl site. They use the .nl site to send contacts without a prescription to the UK, so many of you will have to use it. They make it impossibly hard to use. You cannot complete orders, you cannot enter your power. If I use the english site then it charges me in pounds and charges me shipping, so they advised I just use the site in dutch to figure out my order. I do not speak dutch and why have en english button then! When I go to the dutch site to try this then the coupon code they sent me no longer works. It is stupidly complicated for such a simple purchase.

Hello, I am sorry to hear of the difficulties you had trying to order from us. If you would like to pay for your order in Euros you will need to order from our Dutch website. If your order is over €70 your postage will be free. I suggest you view the website in Chrome and use the Google option to change the language to English. Alternatively you can call the phone number of the Dutch website as our customer service team all speak perfect English.

“Postage increased from seven pounds to sixty pounds”

I have used Get Lenses for many, many years. I live abroad and have always been pleased generally with their service and prices, HOWEVER, I have just placed a repeat order and the postage has gone up from SEVEN pounds to nearly SIXTY pounds. More than the actual lenses. This is outrageous and if management at the company do not do something about this they will be losing customers hand over fist. Get Lenses if you read this plesase realise it it NOT acceptable and as customers we have choices. Julie Cooper

Hi Julies, as the ecommerce marketing manager for GetLenses I quite agree that it is a huge increase. However, we were finding more of our orders were going missing than were being delivered and as a company we agreed to swap to parcelforce who guarantee delivery. Logistics have come a long way in the last year or so and we are now looking at cheaper options and hope to have this resolved within the next month or so.

“cheap but very slow”

I ordered 3 coloured lenses on a friday. They told me that i should opt for special next day delivery. I agreed and paid six pounds on top of the 35 pound charge which was good value. I was then told that the business doesnt operate weekends not even the saturday. So i checked my account online and saw my prescription was verified on a monday. Its now Thursday and im still waiting. Its still awaiting stock. I told them i have to travel next monday so i wont be seeing the lenses. Chances are that they will arrive on monday morning when i have to go to the airport. Nevertheless i quickly phoned my opticians which is specsavers and ordered one pair. so im waiting to see which one will be quicker. lets hope specsavers come true to form as in the past. It did cost me 24 pounds and if they come quiker i will stick with them.

I live in the UK and there´s no problem with deliveries here. But I found out about Get Lenses delivery methods and you can see they have international service to the US and the rest of the world. Hope this can help to answer your question.

No. They no longer ship to the USA, due to an increasing U.S. restriction policy in contact lenses being listed as "medical" items, in need of a confirmed prescription, and declaration, etc. A real shame, as GetLensesUK, provided excellent service for US buyers. Try GlobalLens. :)

I think so - their delivery page states they can deliver to 'rest of the world' outside EU - no mention of any countries they do not ship to.

They are currently experiencing problems with their processing system and are unable to supply to the US but they are looking into this and hopefully this will be resolved within a couple of weeks. They are considering putting some sort of banner advising that this is a temporary blip and that it will soon be resolved. I would suggest that you just try every couple of days or so. If you email them they will contact you upon resolution of the problem so that you are aware when you can re order again. Good Luck.

I have just spoken to them and they have a temporary clitch in their ordering system. Their IT team are looking into this and they hope to have this resolved within a week or so. I did suggest that they have a banner advising this on the internet. They also advised me that if you email them they will contact you as soon as the problem is resolved. Hope that this helps as I spoke direct to their customer service team who were very helpful.
