Mr [name removed] said definitely to me two weeks ago on the phone that the refund is at 10 percent. I would not have dreamed up that rate either for refund or management fee myself. As I had explained very clearly in my previous mail, this he voluntarily offered to me without me mentioning a word of refund in the first place.

Can you give me a satisfactory explanation as to why Alwyne cannot honour his offer to me two weeks ago? What is the reason that he told me he can backtrack to 10 percent refund but then said he is not authorised to do it? Why does he on behalf of Alwyne make offers that he does not mean? Is your staff instructed to joke or mess the customers about?

I do no think requesting Alwyne to fulfill the offer your staff made is a matter of asking you for your good will. If Mr [name removed] makes offers that he cannot honour, then I refute the trustworthiness of the way he conducts business. If he does not admit that he ever made that offer to me on the phone two weeks ago, then I call it dishonesty and we will have nothing more to do with Alwyne.

Please inform the tenants that we cannot let the property.

REPLY FROM MANAGER OF ALWYNE ESTATES:

Again, I've spoken with [name removed] and he is 100% certain that he didn't state that. Also, I can't see why he would offer a fee which is below the 12% fee that you originally agreed with him.

Absolutely not, and I don't appreciate your belligerent and derisive comments.

As I said before [name removed] is adamant that he never offered that, he believes that you are confusing it with the offer of 10% for the period of the next contract. Again, your accusations of dishonesty are not appreciated and are entirely refuted by Alwyne Estates.

It is your property and your call at the end of the day, it is not the end of the world. We have other properties the tentants can move into but for one reason or another they preferred your property.
