Avoid Capital Limousines at all cost. A group of parents booked, back in Feb., a 14 seater pink limo to take 13 girls to their primary school prom. There was no contact from the company until the day before they were due to go (Thursday 19th). This was to basically tell us that the pink limo had broken down. We too were happy to have an alternative car so long as it sat 13. The silver limo arrived on the 19th but arrived 30 minutes late thus meaning the girls were only going to get 30 mins ride as opposed to the 1 hour we asked for. The driver was rude and arrogant and refused to go anywhere until we paid him the fall amount for 1/2 the work. We, the parents, decided that we would not be blackmailed by this gentleman and despite the 13 sobbing girls we decided to pull all the cars out of car. This company is a real cowboy outfit and would avoid at all cost.

I booked capital Limo's to take my 16 year old son and his 7 friends to their school Prom, I paid £35 deposit on my credit card and booked an 8 seater Chrysler 300. The Limo was booked for 5.45pm on Friday night and about 12.30pm that day I received a call from the company telling me that the Chrysler 300 had broken down the night before on a job and that they only had one car available that evening.I was very upset but was pleased that I could still have a limo to take the boys to the Prom, then I asked what type of car was available and he said a "PINK" lincoln town car. I could not let 8 boys go to a school Prom in a PINK CAR, so I asked for a refund and was told that the deposit had not been taken which I thought was a bit strange. I do not think that this company had any intention of sending me a limo that day, and I have now also cancelled my credit card as found their behaviour very untrustworthy. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL LET YOU DOWN....

Although face value they seem professional, their website is good - something has to be said for a company who has the Facebook logo on their website yet has no Facebook page. Hindsight is always a good thing right?

All pre-event phone calls were professional. On the night and from that point onwards however is a different story. The driver called to tell me he would be late. Then continued to call me whilst he was driving and we were in the car (safety has to be questioned here). The driver then refused to pick us up at the arranged time. Now I managed to get hold of the company and they called the driver directly and told him he must pick up at the allotted time - which he did. I have to say his driving skills are questionable and his knowledge of London is also in question as I had to direct him - along with his sat nav!

After one drop off as arranged the driver refused to take us any further (even though that was what I had arranged). One hour later we had no choice other than to call the police as he was being verbally aggressive. We were then left stranded.

Since then I have emailed and phoned continually. It has taken over 2 weeks to finally get a response and it was a very aggressive non-responsive one. They breached the verbal contract and left 12 people stranded.

I am continuing to pursue but don't hold out much hope for a company that after receiving money is no longer professional. DO NOT USE THEM.

I wish I had seen these reviews before I booked with them!

My husband and I booked a Capital Limousine for 20 people and they totally let us down on the night.

They called 10 minutes before they were due to pick us all up and said the particular limousine that we booked was stuck in Luton and they would send an alternative vehicle (Luton is half an hour away from us, so there is now way that they didn't know this earlier).

The vehicle they sent was a party bus, which only held 18 people so some of us were standing and being thrown around the place on the journey.

However the most annoying thing is that having spent the best part of a week putting together a CD of songs that were particularly meaningful to our friends, the 'state of the art' sound system didn't work at all, despite trying various sources CD, Ipod etc etc.

I have asked for a refund...We may as well have caught a taxi to the venue and saved the money on our entertainmentless trip......But all I was offered is 15% of my next booking which is a joke.

Funnily enough, it also says on their website that additional passengers will be charged, however clearly the reverse is not the case if they downgrade your vehicle!

This company are disgusting, please people do not use them. Please also call trading standards. I just spoke to them about my experience and they said the more people that call the better. PLEASE REPORT THEM AND DO NOT USE THEM!!!

Please beware this company. They recently quoted us a price for our wedding for a 10 person limo. We booked according to this price but were then told that the full amount would be considerably more and that we only had the car for two hours (which would not be sufficient for the trip discussed in the original quote). They also sent back the wrong date and the wrong time on the order form. When I called to ammend the details I was fobbed off and told that the person I spoke to earlier was not there and hadn't been all day. They also said that it was our fault that they had the date wrong and when we changed it they changed the wrong account/order. When pressed on a refund they hung up on me. Several phone calls later they agreed to a refund but we would have to call on Monday. This however led to being hung up on again by a vile operator who simply kept shouting that the booking fee is non-refundable. I am still trying to get my money back and have wasted hours of time and enormous amounts of stress and energy dealing with this bunch of crooks. I have contacted trading standards who have told me that they are in breach of contract and that we can claim our money back through court if need be. Should it really come to that though? I am trying to organise my wedding and am looking forward to it - I don't want to get involved in lengthy legal proceedings but I guess this bunch of criminals are counting on that. I am so disgusted at this - they should not be allowed to operate. Please be aware of this company and please recognise the positive reviews on this site to be from their office. I even recognise the broken English and overall attitude of aggressive righteousness from the conversations I have had with them. Please avoid and save yourself money, time and ultimately misery."

Since writing this original review I have had the unfortunate necessity of corresponding with this company further. Upon advice given to me by the Office of Fair Trade I attempted to write to them by post in an effort to get back our wrongfully held money. Their address however is not available on the website and when I rang to get it from them in person I was verbally insulted and hung up on. When I rang back, the woman I spoke to started making bizzare threats against me and how I should 'be very careful'. She also then threatened to call the police - an action I urged her to carry out as I would be very interested (not to mention amused) at their response.

I still do not have my money back and although they are clearly in breach of contract as verified by the Trading Standards authority they are yet to so much as contact us. It now looks as though this will have to be settled in court.

Interestingly, this company have today contacted this website that hosts this review in an attempt to remove this review claiming that we are not even customers of theirs. I truly wish that I was not a customer of theirs and had never even heard of their company and I urge anybody considering using this company to reconsider. My wedding is next month and we have no car for it as this company took what money we had budgeted. Is this a company you want to trust? "

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

There are 2 webiste addresses - www.capitallimo.co.uk and www.capitallimousine.co.uk. I called them and arranged for a 9 seater limo IN WHICH i eventually found out there are no 9 seater limos they are 8 seats only! They were going to squeeze 9 of us in there ILLEGALLY and if I were to have gone ahead and police had pulled us over I WOULD HAVE BEEN THE ONE IN TROUBLE as they arrange for you to hire the driver only.

I looked everything up first and then called them for them to clarify they had a certain license (Coif) but no reply. Basically they are rude, unhelpful and unligit. And when i finally got through to the manager after about 20 phone calls he said i would not receive a refund (deposit).

AND i firstly got there number of a website where the cars looked fantastic - but when i booked i asked them to direct me to the exact interior and car I would be getting in which they then gave me www.capitallimo.co.uk and the interior looked so shabby!!! do not risk it believe me. They say one thing but mean another.
