Great room equivalent bathroom to any 4* hotel.
Breakfast fantastic- did not need to eat again for rest of day!!

We have recently visited at the Firs and it is a fantastic place to say,the rooms are clean, warm and all the staff are very polite and welcoming. The breakfast is spot on one of he best you will ever have in a hotel or b&b The guesthouse is set in a small village with a pub and a short walk to the main attraction of Runswick bay and the beach also close by is the Cleveland Way for coastal walks. We will be returning as soon as we can, this is one of the best places we have ever stayed and great value for the money.

the review in november 2009 is a load of rubbish. The rooms are great, comfortable and very clean. The service was excellent nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this to the Queen.

Quite possibly the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to attempt to sleep at, I say attempt as the Beds were so uncomfotable that sleep was impossible. From a Geological point of View the matteress' could equate to Mohs scale of mineral hardness #10 allowing the edge of the beds to easily cut into a mirror. Had booked for two nights but checked out after basically sitting in a chair for 6 hours. The woman basically called me a Liar and insisted that I pay the full amount and we didn't even get breakfast. Strangly enough the excuse was "we have Hotel Industry Standard Beds" Standard for a supposed 4 Star Guest House, makes you wonder doesn't it. Avoid or your Osteopath will not be happy. So to recap, I was charged £230 for a Chair and a Shower (the bath had no plug) and No breakfast!
