Cheap Tickets But If Anything Goes Wrong They Will Not Help
This company has given me the run around with a ticket I booked. They fabricate, each rep has a different story and the supervisors are rude and yell at customers. I was informed by the airline that they refunded all tickets to Japan due to the country sign closed during the pandemic. When I called explore trip to inquire about the refund they are giving me the run around . Despite my own knowledge they even got me to pay an extra $200 to keep the ticket to get a credit despite the country being closed.
Today I spoke with a “ supervisor” Santiago who yelled at me , interrupted me when I was speaking and would not let me voice my disappointment in the company ( which as a supervisor he is supposed to take complaints and hopefully make corrections ). This is very disheartening and I will never use this company again. I will also be issuing my social media platforms to express my grievances with this company in hopes to warn others.
They do have cheap tickets but if anything goes wrong with the flight they will not assist you .
Absolutely Wretched Company. They Sold Me A Ticket
Absolutely wretched company. They sold me a ticket that didn't exist, a man from exploretrip tried to convince me on the phone that booking directly with the airline was a sham (he even 3-way called the airline to "prove" to me that they were bad since they have a foreign accent), the company phone number doesn't work during normal business hours, in fact, it sends you through a loop of ads and sweepstakes sign ups, there is no communicating with these people.
Two days before my flight I realized that my ticket was fake. I luckily got a new ticket and disputed the charge with my bank. They conveniently appeared from thin air to provide faulty ticket information and have yet to do anything about the fact that they charged me $930 for a ticket that never existed.
Do not book with them, save yourself from them.
Not Looking After The Customers
Exploretrip forgot to cancel upon my request three flight tickets to New York.
The tickets were fully eligible for a full refund.
I made the request in writing and a full week before the deadline by the Airline. I did not receive a response and reminded Exploretrip by email and made a phone call.
The Exploretrip customer support agent confirmed my email and confirmed he himself would take care and request the cancellation from the Airline that same day. The Exploretrip customer support agent informed me that the refund would be credited to my account within two cycles of the credit card refunds i.e. two months.
I never received the refund and contacted Exploretrip customer support many times. Exploretrip customer blames the airline for the delay, now two years.
The airline meanwhile confirmed that Exploretrip customer support never made a request for the refund.
If I had known how terrible Exploretrip customer support is and how deceitful they treat their customer I would never have booked the tickets with them.
Never, Ever Give Them Your Money
I wish There was an option for negative stars. I booked a flight with them from Toronto to Ahmedabad (India) scheduled for April 2020. It got cancelled due to the the Pandemic by the Airlines. I got an email from them stating that I was elegible for 50% refund. I spoke to them explaining that It was not cancelled because of me and they were adamant that Airline has decided to only give 50% refund. I spoke to the airline and the representative mentioned that as it was cancelled by the airline, I am eligible for a full refund but it needs to be processed through the agent as it was booked by the agent. I confronted with the agent at exploretrip and she was like Airline representative is lieing lol and that the refund i am eligible for now is 35% of the total cost. So now I am left with some 380$ out of the 1100 I paid. Total Sham! Never trust these people with your money.

We are a family of four. My wife works in healthcare. Unfortunately, a week before the trip, she caught COVID. In the following days, me and the kids got infected too. So, travelling became impossible/illegal. We promptly let ExploreTrip know of our situation. Did the same with the AirCompany. They then changed the ticket to an “open ticket”, to avoid paying no-show fees. All seemed ok.
We then contacted the AirCompany to know how to proceed to re-book the ticket. After providing the proofs of the COVID tests, we were told that the ticket could be re-booked at no cost in our case. We didn’t need to pay for fare differences as well. We had this in writing from the AirCompany. We then contacted Exploretrip, because the ticket was issued by them. That’s when the nightmare started.
We called them on January 21st, and was told we would need to pay the difference. We had to argue with the agent, who even after seeing the e-mail by the AirCompany would provide all sorts of excuses. From “you should rebook with the AirCompany”, to you have to pay the price difference according to the “fare rules” (though again, this was not what the AirCompany said in writing to my personal e-mail). We spent a week calling ExploreTrip multiple times, and getting stalled. We have been told multiple times that supervisors or agents would call to solve the issue, but they haven’t so far.
Our trip is to Thailand. They have very strict COVID rules. It takes 7 days to get the documents ready to visit the country. But to get it done, we need plane tickets, and thus ExploreTrip “goodwill”. We are now risking getting our trip further ruined by ExploreTrip.
Bottom line: The AirCompany was very reasonable with us, but ExploreTrip is just thinking about making the extra cash out of people’s hardship.
Why buy a ticket from ExploreTrip if they use the opportunity to “explore” you when they can?

I called them several times regarding the cancellation of my ticket, but they always tell me to talk to the airline, and the airline is the only one that can help.
But when I called the airline, the airline told me that they cannot see any information because the agency avoids it. The airline cannot even check the price of my ticket.

their service is really bad. was put on hold for a long time only for them to drop the call. 3 times the calls dropped within a 4 hour time span. i called numerous times before and all those attempts i waited over an hour for a response! refund said it will take 1-2 billing cycles...it's been over 3 billing cycle and i was told to call back in 2-3 weeks after the 3 billing cycles. i understand due to covid19 that refunds are taking longer but this is REDICULOUS! i bought the exact same ticket for my wife from another travel site and was refunded within 3 weeks. same tickets, same airline, same day calling for a refund and same day for both sites to issue refund confirmation via email. it doesn't make any sense!

This travel agency is disgusting. I called Exploretrip to cancel a flight that the airline was offering full refund on, and an Exploretrip agent told me that the airline is only offering full refund for flights flying prior to March 2020, but since my flight is for April 2020, the flight is not eligible for full refund, he only offered me 60% refund. However I just got off the phone with the airline and they said that they do not have such restriction at all, and it's full refund for this flight! Exploretrip, you are such a deceitful and self-serving piece of trash. I will give the worst review on as many sites as possible and make sure Exploretrip pay for their disgusting business practice.

Explore Trip is the worst customer service and communication experience I've ever had with travel. Do yourself a favor and either book directly through the airline or use Expedia or another reputable site. THE WORST!
Worst Customer Service, Rude And Unhelpful
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I tried booking online and kept getting error messages. I tried booking multiple times for multiple dates and it kept getting errors. So I called customer service and the rep was difficult to understand, kept changing numbers for pricing from what was available online, and was unkind. When he finally booked me it was for the wrong return date! When I realized the error (after we were already at our destination and I'm trying to check in to our return flight) I called to get this corrected and they said it was too late (I told them to review the phone calls to verify the dates I requested-they said even if they were in the wrong it was too late to change it). The only option was to purchase new one-way tickets (which cost MORE than our round trip tickets-AKA double the cost of our trip). I could not be more furious right now! And to make matters worse they had the gall to raise their voices at me in frustration as I am literally weeping on the phone begging for help. If they made a mistake they should fix it. End of story! Offer a credit. Pay for the new tickets or the exchange fee. Fix the mess you created or do something to soften the SERIOUSLY huge blow you just made to my family!
Also, they had THE LONGEST HOLD TIMES I've ever experienced! Do not use this company ever. When I called back a second time after calling the airline (like they asked me to) they said, "All of our supervisors are busy. Can you please call back after an hour?" WTH?! When I asked if they could call ME back they put me on hold for another five min to check if that's possible, then said, "I will connect you to a supervisor right now" then put me on hold for another 30 minutes before I finally gave up. They're probably so busy trying to NOT put out all the fires they created.
Iam having a nightmare with this joke of a company, we upgraded and payed extr for a 2 bed apartment in Egypt in April. Once at the hotel , they would only give us a 1 bed ... the company holiday gems still after 4 months still have not given us money back , stating they have to wait for the hotel to investigate, like that's going to happen . They do not answer e mails , and state its there policy not to speak to customer who have a complaint .. really wish I had never come across them . At least I've spread the word to most of east Yorkshire to avoid this company so hopefully put a dent in there dodgy business plans and cost them more than they owe me .. spread the word as fat as you can and get as many people as you can to avoid this horrible company ran by 4 people apparently
