Biarritz Is A Seaside Town In The South-west Of Fr
Biarritz is a seaside town in the south-west of France and is a Basque region. It is now famous for being a good spot for surfing, as the coast there usually provides decent waves.
The town itself is very pleasant - it's not very large and has a good balance of charm and modern facilities.
One negative is that it is rather expensive - especially at the moment if you are a UK traveller due to the poor Euro / GBP exchange rate.
There are plenty of pleasant restaurants in Biarritz, with everything in walking distance of the sea and the beach.
In terms of the surfing, I have only been surfing a few times before and as a result found the surf a little difficult in Biarritz - I'd say it wasn't the ideal place to learn as the waves can get rather rough and difficult to get out past.
However, I really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to take a few days by the sea.
