Map Accuracy

It Took Me Quite A Long Time Of Use Of This Item T

It took me quite a long time of use of this item to get it right to work and figure out all the possible functions it has. I just recently found out for example that it couldn't displace any planned routes created by MapSource. You can only for example upload your way points and then, hand by hand combine them into one route you wish.

In general the device is nicely built, causes no problems after 1year of usage. Cables are all included, 12V car adaptor, windscreen suction holder (that detaches itslef from the glass after around 2 months) etc. It'd be thoughtful for you to buy an external AC-USB 5V adapter to charge it at home or so. Very useful. Especially after loading full EU maps you'll end up with 7-8MB of empty space.

I gave it only 3* for usage as there is no manual included and I was struggling quite a time to understand how all works properly and how to use its full potential.

Map accuracy is very good, although on number of occasion the device goes crazy and chooses the most bizzare routes where you drive 1-2miles the wrong direction.

It also is quite slow in processing any information. But this is to be expected on a Flash memory based device. As you plan a travel above 1000km it takes some time to load it. As you try to add some via points, it takes even longer. This is frustrating.

It has a micro-SD card slot that can be used for additional maps storage, personal information etc.

The satelitte signal is always 100%, at least in UK, apart from indoors, where it barely never works. But GPS devices are to work outside.

I paid for it around £90 I guess, which it makes one of the most valuable Navigations from recommended manufacturer like Garmin.

To sum up, it is a very nice device, does its job, almost a bargain, but it lacks any extra features and has some flaws. But if you only use it to go from A to B as it shows you, it'll never let you down.

In general I'd give it 7 out of 10.
