False Allegations Made To A New Member Of Staff.
Really bad experience after I was given an opportunity to work for the company so they offered me a trial run and I thought I was doing a really good job and I was being praised by all the men at work there and I got on well with them, although it came to lunchtime And I was told to go off in the office and they said I didn’t me they’re expectations for the job role encountered. Management made for salutations say I didn’t meet the requirements and I wasn’t long enough there to find out anymore. Half the way they treated me. I felt so controlled by their behaviour and everyone scarpered at the office soon as I came up the stairs, so I knew something wasn’t right and this is my thing, but I wasn’t in there that long to find out anymore so annoyed, and overwhelmed. I was furious that they didn’t give a reason for what I said. Please avoid this place for car, sales and employment.. not very professional and they mess me about through the interview stage. Almost 3 weeks waiting when I originally said they’ll call me the day after my interview so unprofessional. I’m saying all this because I don’t want anyone else suffering the consequences of circumstances.. good luck

Warranty, What Warranty? Be Very Wary!!
Car bought end of April 2015 - Date of review 28th January 2015
This car was okay for first couple of months until it rained and then rain must have got in exhaust as it would slow down and back fire until it cleared. I took it back and, as it wasn't raining, surprise surprise "no fault found!"
Clearly I had no option but to live with this and then lo and behold when it developed more problems I rang Arnolds Garage.
1) It refused to start when we had frost, but was okay when weather not too cold, so my garage said glow plugs probably needed replacing. I rang Arnold's Garage and was told I'd have to pay for the diagnostics tests
2) My garage also picked up an oil leak due to leaking gasket - according to Arnold's this is NOT covered
3) Finally on my questioning the point of the warranty the guy at Arnold's couldn't hide his glee when finding out it had done more than 12,000 miles!
I now suspect reason they call you in for a 6,000 mile service with them is because by time next 10,000 mile service comes around and, like me you take car to your own independent garage, then car will have done more than the warranty mileage and not be covered. So it is a case of heads they win, tails you lose!

The vehicle was in good working condition at time of sale, and terms and conditions are discussed & clearly stated in the Warranty Book, being signed by every customer.
When the vehicle fault was reported it had been driven well over the 12,000 miles which exceeded the warranty terms & conditions -12000 miles or 12months whichever is sooner

Never Buy A Car From Arnolds Garage, They Buy The
Never buy a car from Arnolds garage, they buy the cars from auctions and there a pile of poo, when the sell a car the fix (bodge) with very cheap parts (mostly from scrapyards), they are very rude and don't give a care in the world after they've got there money, they will take every penny you have!!!

Friendly And Trustworthy Car Sales
Bought a used car from this garage; there was some work that needed doing which they'd said they'd complete before we picked it up. Was slightly nervous about leaving a deposit under those conditions but when we returned a week later everything they promised had been done and we're very happy with the purchase.

Feeling Fleeced
Bought a car from this garage early this year. Had to take it back for a small issue, which was inconvenient but resolved. Then found oil leaking under vehicle. Taken to a main dealer who advised that there are 4 areas leaking. Very disappointed and will not be returning, certainly will not recommend to anybody.
Wish I had found these reviews before buying.

Cow Boys
Avoid at all costs total cow boys. Brought a car for theys clowns when I went to change the number plates found they had used 4 big self tappers straight into the metal of the boot with no prep into stop it rusting away. Also the warranty is worthless you have to pay to have the car serviced after 6 months costing £200 plus at there garage. It cheaper to get a new waraty

Best Ever Garage
I brought my Rover 45 from Arnolds after seeing it on eBay and I must say I couldn't be happier.
After a phone call and a lengthy chat about the car and services on offer I made an appointment to go and test drive it. I might add I travelled the 150 miles on the strength of a phone call.
Getting there I found the person I'd spoken to easily and we went out in the car. I was told I could go anywhere I chose and there was plenty of fuel in it to do so. After a good long test drive and plenty of questions wilth concise and helpful answers we sat down to thrash out a deal. When we'd finished I was very happy but chose to take the 3 hr drive home to think it over.
An hour after I got home I called to say I'd like the car, left a deposit and looked forward to picking it up.
On picking the car up I was treated very well, I was more than impressed, the car was immaculate with new air freshens and even a tin of mints with all the paperwork done and waiting. Having driven home I found the car as good as I remember from the test drive, but now it had had a full service, inc cambelt, 12 months MOT, 12 months tax and 12 months warranty with a nationwide company.
I know I may have waffled on, but I cannot recommend Arnold's Garage enough and will be doing so to my friends regardless of them being a long way away.

I bought a ford fiesta in 2011 from them got a years ticket.the folowing year the mot came up and it failed on quite a few items which i was not too happy with as they quoted nearly £600.My brother did all the work.One of the items was a brake stop light which stayed on (according to them). It failed the retest because of this stop light and one new item even though we had tested the lights dozens and dozens of times and never had we managed to get it to stick on. I got a friend to drive the car from farnham back to haslemere and not once did the brake light stay on. I queried the stop light failure and it took him at least half a dozen times to finally get the stop light to stay on this was done by releasing the pedal very slowly and in my opininion no one would use that technique to brake. After this i just ripped out the switch and put a new one in and did the other repair went to book it in and was informed that a complete retest had to be taken as the car had failed the mot on an item twice.
I will never buy a car from them ever again or take my cars to them again for any reason. In my opinion the cost of the works is very excessive. Value for money...be prepared to take out a mortgage.

Absolute Rip Off!
I took my car in for a service because an amber engine light on the dash board had come up. I also had a few other problems such as the left rear tyre having a slow puncture and the car's central locking going off when the car was started (which I stated on the initial form was the battery). When I collected my car I was shocked to pick up a bill of £512.14!
SERVICE- £172.50 + VAT for the service alone (2 and a half hours). Additional Extras were £90.83 + VAT. Bringing the total to £315.99 for a standard service!
BATTERY- The price after discount is £71.25 plus disposal charge of £2.50 plus supply and fit of £17.25 plus VAT - £110.04. The same battery online is £62.76 inclusive of VAT and delivery and Arnold's is an official BOSCH Garage!!!
SQUEAKY BREAKS- I was also charged £17.25 + VAT for an 'investigation' into why they are squeaking. It was admitted by them that this should of been included in the service price and as a good will gesture they will give me a free MOT at their garage!
DIAGNOSTICS- £34.50 + VAT. When I bought the car in, I said I thought it was the battery.
I wish I hadn't of been so keen to support a local business. I spoke to Robins & Day who are an official Peugeot Dealership near me and was quoted £250 incl of VAT for a full service, including all parts/ oil/ diagnostics and a thorough check over the brake discs and battery issue. They also said that if the battery corrected in the dash board warning light they would reset the light within the price.
I'm a young guy with little money and feel absolutely shafted by a local garage! I was warned by enough people to avoid Arnolds and wish I had of listened. If you are lucky enough to find this review before going there please take note and avoid like the plague!
Oh and also it was noted in their response to my letter that they had in fact given me new wind screen wipers worth £20 and not invoiced me for them and were going to let me off. I don't remember even asking for new wind screen wipers in the first place as I was actually planning in ordering some off eBay for half the price anyway.
