“Loving my new windows from Advanced Windows”

I have just have my whole flat fitted with new double glazed windows. Can't believe the difference in the noise and heat - especially in the bedroom- next to a main road. Efficient and tidy installation - the fitters barely stopped all day. Took two days - but that was for the whole flat. price compare more than favourably to other quotes I received- have already recommended to a couple of pals.

We have just had our whole house fitted with windows and doors. I was dreading what I expected to be a long messy process but no. Signed up for them 2 weeks ago and they are in, Delighted with the whole process from being given a good price to assistance and the fitters were first class too. Clean tidy fast workers and the finish is absolutely excellent. Very good quality product too. There was one cracked glass unit when our lounge window arrived and they had someone out at 10.15pm that night replacing it. Excellent service would highly recommend this company.

“We contacted Advanced at the start of the year for a...”

We contacted Advanced at the start of the year for a price for a new door. All options were explained and no hard sell was involved and we would highly recommend them, the door was installed quickly and with no mess. Because of the service we have returned and had a further door fitted, all done by phone and again it was done totally to our requirements and fitted quickly. We had a slight issue with the handle and a call to the installation team had someone straight out to sort it. My only complaint would be that getting through to the Customer Care team can be a bit of a nightmare, the number has an automated answer service rather than someone answering the phone and trying to speak to someone isn't always easy. All in all we are happy with the company and would use Advanced in the future.

“New Windows and Doors”

I have recntly had new fron windows and dorr fitted to my property by Advanced and was happy with the service, there was a small problem with the handles fitted which was promptly fixed and i would not hesitate to use them again, very easy to deal with and roughly the same cost as double glazing.

“Outstanding value, Excellent Service and Committment”

We ordered triple glazing to replace the 15 year old double galzing inherited with the house. It is now installed anf the difference is remarkable. Heat retention is noticeably higher and sound proofing excellent. The windows look good and are easy to operate. The quality and value for money is very good indeed. That is all down to technology, however. What was most impressive was the service. The surveyor turned up when we were advised he would, was unobtrusive and best of all, accurate! We live in the top of a 3 story building. The new units were delivered with no damage to units or walls. All the units fitted perfectly. It was the fitting that was most impressive of all - because we found out when the old units were removed, just how badly and dangerously they had been put in! The fitting team were outstanding working outwith normal hours to ensure we watertight and secure in our house. If you are thinking about getting new glazing, go triple and go for these guys.

“Good customer satisfaction”

Nearly 3 years ago we visited the Advance showroom having read an advert in our local paper regarding triple glazing as we had decided to upgrade all of our existing poor quality double glazed windows. There was no hard sell from the salesman and we liked the quality of the windows. A meeting was arranged for him to call at our house to give us a quote. The price quoted for 8 windows and a front door was so good we also decided to buy a conservatory. Installation was prompt and to schedule. At a later date both my daughter, and brother viewed our new windows,they also placed orders with Advanced for windows. I have only required to make one call to customer service,item adjusted the following day. Would have no hesitation recommending the Advance Group on quality, cost and customer service.

“Good Customer Service... Fair Price :)”

Moved into my home with my partner last year and wanted to get new windows asap. The review comes with little background knowledge of the industry or pricing structure. on that note.... as far as we were concerned: 1. the sales rep that came to the house was really good, no hard sales pitch, no haggling, no threats if we didnt accept. He spoke us through the product, drank some tea, measured up and gave us a price. He asked if we had anyone else coming out and gave us some feedback about what he thought of them and the quality of their product(good and bad). Said if someone offered us a better price then that was fair enough but that was their price today, tomorrow and yesterday. We liked this about them :) 2. Guys that came to fit the windows worked hard and did a really good job. Took a few days but we were getting the whole house plus doors. they cleaned up after themselves. they were friendly too which helps when youve got strangers in your house for nearlly three days. 3. really happy with the product, brilliant finish and well worth the money for us. chrome handles on all the windows and doors which we relly love. after care: the fitters told us that once the doors 'settled' in they might need readjusted so they didnt catch. This did happen but all it took was one phone call and they came out to fix it. Cant really comment on the value for money... it suited us and they were cheaper than the national companies. Thats all we have to compare it too. hopefully tripple glazing will help this winter. We would recommend the company to family and friends.

“We had my our whole house fitted with new windows...”

We had my our whole house fitted with new windows throughout and we are happy with them and the price (which was much less than other companies who were doing double glazing not triple glazing).

From getting a quote to the survey to install was about 2 weeks approx, which was much faster than an other companies who quoted for us, some were saying 6 weeks plus!

Not the usual bullsh*t sales patter usually associated with double glazing companies ( ill phone the boss for a lower price etc) just a straight forward quote, with no pressure.

Have had to call them regarding a very minor adjustment to one window which was done the next day in a matter of minutes. I would recommend this company and their windows to anyone (have already passed on a few people to them who stopped and asked where i got them from!)

My only real niggle was some of their staff could do with some customer care lessons, the woman taking my initial enquiry was snappy and the fitter (sub contractor, still dont know who he was) who turned up 7 hours late was grumpy and when i said i wanted to pay by card after he had finished, as the salesman suggested was best, he bit my head off saying WHAT WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO PAY! Don't think he'd heard of a card payment before! (Also didnt give me an invoice for his payment which im guessing he pocketed tax free, cheeky!) But these are small niggles, and i would use and recommend them again.

“I had triple glazing installed by Advanced Windows...”

I had triple glazing installed by Advanced Windows August 2009. The windows are great, but service appalling, so bad infact I went to citizens advice. I have since had to use their services again due to a fault developing and I have to say the service was excellant. It took 2.5 weeks from first contact to install a new window. If this is the sort of service that they can provide in future I would have no hesitation in using them again when I move house.

“I am at the start of the dreaded window replacement...”

I am at the start of the dreaded window replacement process(getting the quotes)and after 7 visits from various companies sales reps have decided to go with Advanced for 5 windows and 1 set of french doors(including slap out)also the complete roofline fascia and soffit etc.I will also add on the front door when the salesman calls me back to confirm surveyors appointment and sign the contract,she who must be obeyed wants it changed.The quote from advanced is around 30% less than equivelant products from other companies,I did ask a couple of companies to price for triple and believe me you better sit down for the quote.So far the process has been hassle free but this is the easy bit.I have been a window fitter myself working for CR Smith around 20 years ago but left to join the fire service so I know a good product when I see it.I will post up and let you know how the fitting goes as we are getting it done in stages,the first being the roofline,ohh and if anyone thinks this review will be biased or untruthfull believe me ill post warts and all.But so far 10 out of 10.

“We had a sunroom fitted by the Advanced group, The...”

We had a sunroom fitted by the Advanced group, The company did a really good job and we are delighted with our new sunroom.
The first part of the work took place during the really bad weather and they worked through it(when they were able to get here).
We got a quote from them and they were aware that we were getting others. They did not badger us for a decision unlike some other companies did. They were very competitively priced without compromising quality. Every member of staff we spoke to through out the whole process was polite and informative. The planning permission took about 8 weeks to come through and the work started straight away after that. We would recommend them to anyone. The one thing which has prevented us from giving them 5/5 is that the plumber did not show up at the time he had arranged with us as he said that he had to attend an emergency - he did however come the next day.
There was a delay in the rough casting being done but again this was due to the weather as the temperature must be above 3 degrees before the external plaster will set - we wanted it done right so we were happy with that.
At one point one of the hoppers would not shut correctly but it was fixed promptly.

I had windows and doors fitted by Advanced Windows a year ago without any great problem. Good price, workmanship acceptable (sorted when pointed out at fitting). Quality of doors/windows not to highest but again for price, acceptable. Don't notice any difference having triple glazed windows to normal double glazed units but they should be at least stronger and the fitters will tell you they are definately heavier!! After sales have been excellent. Have requested warranty work on doors 1. adjustment 2. replace gold coloured letterbox which turned silver and this has been done within a few days. Fitter always phones first to say he is enroute and arrives at stated time, pleasant and good knowledge of product/ workmanship. Would consider having them back to cost for a conservatory. In conclussion, good enough value for the money. You can of course pay silly prices for better products and still get hassle!!!!!

Hi there

Had 3 doors plus 4 windows fitted by this company. Got a good deal, can't complain about that.

There was issues (minor) - they dealt with them in a professional manner.
Are they perfect, no. They use outside fitters for installation.

But, they rectify issues, yes.

Would you recoommend them - yes.

Bear in mind no company is perfect. Good/bad points.

“AFTERCARE SERVICE ”

AFTERCARE SERVICE
we had all our windows and doors renewed by advance about four years ago. they did a great job and we have been very happy.
about two months ago we noticed that some of the handles and the ease of opening was starting to get sticky.
thinking it may be down to age and general use we were happy to have advance back to fix the problem.
we phoned advance customer service who arranged a repair man to come and have a look. they came on the day we wanted and called half an hour before arrival as agreed to ensure it was still convenient. they fixed all the problems and left without charging! proffesional, friendly and efficient.
fantastic aftercare service. thank you!

“we bought a conservatory from advanced last year and...”

we bought a conservatory from advanced last year and from the first appointment to completion the staff and workmen could not have been nicer,
they came when they said they would, did what they said they would, and were very tidy and mannerly throughout.
had a problem with the door, phoned and a man came and fixed it very promptly, no hassle whatsoever.
i've already recommended them to a friend who has also had problem free work carried out.

How lucky you must have been, we got 5 windows installed by Advanced Window and conservatories on 7 December 2009, with the promise of high quiality workman ship and if anything was wrong it would be sorted within 4 weeks - the windows were left a disgrace - not fitted properly, 2 of which needs to be refitted, and others sorted, we are still waiting after nearly 6 months. Appointments have been made and they don't appear or the van has broken down, when they do appear they have only got about 10 minutes before they go to the next customer. Have phoned on several occasions just to be fobbed off with excuses. Would never ever use them again

“We had 5 windows and a door fitted by the Advanced...”

We had 5 windows and a door fitted by the Advanced Group. The quality is superb and fitting was of a high standard. The fitters were quick and efficient and left the house clean and tidy. We have had a problem with the front door, which is being replaced. Communication with customer services has been very good and we have found the staff friendly and helpful and we apppreciate the prompt service. We live in Argyll but the distance has not been a problem for this company. Each time they have arrived when they said they would. The company was recommended to us and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to others

“I purchased my conservatory from Advanced over ten...”

I purchased my conservatory from Advanced over ten years ago. Unfortunately, as luck would have it two windows have blown and yes you guessed it its out of guarantee. Fully expecting to pay for replacement windows I phoned Advanced asking for quotes and the person I spoke too could not have been more helpful and agreed to replace my windows free of charge. The installer is calling in two days time to measure up and the replacements should be with me shortly thereafter. Now that's what service should be about. I'll keep you all posted on how the replacement progresses. Updated: 23th March 2010 The chap from Advanced came last Wednesday at 8.30am to measure up and on Thursday they phoned to say that the windows would be ready today (Tuesday 23rd March)and an installer would be with us between 8.00am and 12 o'clock. This morning at 8.30am the chap turned up bright and breezy with my new windows which, he replaced in jig time. My conservatory is now looking good. As I mentioned in my earlier posting my conservatory is now over 10 years old but it is still looking good and giving me great pleasure. There is nothing better than sitting out there with a good book and a glass of wine, ah bliss. I would like to say a big thank you to Advanced for being so prompt and keeping me informed but, most importantly, for being so generous and replacing them at no charge to myself, especially when they didn't need to. Would I recommend Advanced, you betcha. Would I use them again, absolutely.

Does anyone else have problems with noise? I have triple glazing and have been told that the trickle vents are the cause of the noise. At times I can hear my neighbours talking even with the vents closed.

My windows are around 12 years old. The locking barrel came out when locking the window. The window handle will not move and window is closed. The barrel has come away with lock. How can I repair this?
