“Jubilee lakes is a private smallwater fishery kept in...”

★★★★★

written by leonard5640 on 23/07/2009

Jubilee lakes is a private smallwater fishery kept in immaculate condition with a brilliant tackle shop and lodge. It has very appropriate rules which to be honest makes for a superbe days fishing. It has two lakes which are stocked frequently with all fish taken being replaced. The fish are hard fighting and can be BIG. Double figure rainbows are taken weekly. Pricing is good at £14 for your permit and fish taken at £1.95 per pound to a maximum of £6 per fish. You must take your first and this could be 15lb+. You may sport fish until you reach your catch limit on each lake but still have the option of taking any of those fish. If it turns out to be one of the monsters the £6 maximum per fish would still apply. If you bong out which I have never done the day is £14 and potentially for £20 you could be taking home the fish of a lifetime. The owners have the personal touch an I have found them to be very helpful and welcoming. All in all I have never had anything less than a brilliant days fishing when fishing here and worth my 90 mile round trip to do so.

The lakes continue to offer brilliant fishing in an exceptional environment. The sourcing of the double figure fish for the fishery has changed however the stock size still remains good. On my most recent visit I took 6 fish and not one of them was under 6lb. Double figure fish are still there though. With its facilities and superb fishing along with the helpfulness of the fisheries owners and staff a fishery I will continue to use and reccomend
