After reading the other reviews. Stating that the batteries don't last long and the refils are rubbish. I fully agreed with these previous reviews when I first tried this E lite product. I bought starter pack from a shop close to my home, the label on the pack stated that it was equivalent to 30 cigarette's "approx". I eagerly ripped open the package, keen to start my new healthier lifestyle, and started to suck on it. I got nothing from it and the green LED started to flash. I went back into the shop and asked the man behind the counter to explain this lack of sensation and flashing LED. I was then told that this is normal and give it a bit of time for the in-built atomiser to start working. So I went home. When I was at home I looked online for a user guide. The user guide stated that the "flashing LED meant a low battery charge and lack of taste or sensation was either contributed to the low battery or the cartridge was empty". Initially I felt cheated. I went back down to the shop to complain and buy a charger, only to be told that they had no chargers or refills and if I really wanted one they would order one for me sometime in the next week. Really felt cheated now. The next day, at work, I found a shop close to my office that sold these E lites. This shop did have a stock or USB chargers and refills. So I bought a charger and a pair of refills, and another E lite cigarette. This one worked perfectly, battery fully charged and the cartridge lasted at least into the third day, and I now had two batteries to use. So I can swap over and not have to wait for four hours for it to re-charge. All I can say about my first E lite experience was that I had been conned by a dishonest shop keeper, who must have been using the E lite for himself, then decided to sell it. I almost gave up my healthier lifestyle right there on the spot and bought a packet of normal cigarettes. But since I still thought that I was being conned, I decided not to give him any more of my money. The online user guide also did say that a general five to six draws or puffs was equivalent to a normal cigarette. Bear this in mind and you will experience a decent life time from your cartridges. I have managed to keep on using this E lite for over three weeks now and I don't want a cigarette. Though that may change. As I say. Work's, so far, for me.

I started using E lites 5 weeks ago and thought they were quite good then 2 weeks ago discovered V Lites you get more flavour they are cheaper and come in different strengths to suit anyone - Conclusion: I havent had a real cigarette in 3 weeks and dont want one. I have used these V Lites in conjunction with nicorette gum.

I have recently seen many people smoking these and they just look like a normal cigarette. I was, perhaps foolishy, expecting them to feel the same as normal cigarettes. The first day I smoked them I felt so proud that I did not mind them and just thought they were interesting and different. By the second day I was puffing and puffing, and felt like I could not get a decent drag of one because of course its just water vapour and nicotine, so you do not get that satisfasifying feeling of having plumes of smoke whirling around inside your lungs. It just really hits your throat and then the sensation ends and your lungs still feel empty. Now I have got the complaining over with, I have to say something positive about them: I have sucessfully given up smoking with them and would recommend them. Just do not be fooled by their appearance and expect them to be like cigarettes or you might be disaapointed. It will not be easy so be mentally prepared to quit, but I would recommend them to a friend who was giving up.

Great product, i have the newer G9 model, decided to buy one from a service station to give it a go and will not look back. I smoked a few real cigarettes alongside this product the first day and soon realised i preffered e lites, i have not smoked a real cigarette in 8 days now. I was a 20-30 a day smoker and i am finding the cartridges are lasting at least a day if not more, i do have to charge the battery every night but its not exactly a hardship and the new charging kits will sort this problem out. I definately recommend this product, i think all the people complaining may either have the older version (which i believe is the case considering they are talking about nicotine fluids) or are very unlucky. For all those poeple saying good reviews are from salesmen how do i know you are not salemen from competing companies as i have had no issues with this product at all?!

i have been smoking for 25+ years and have always wondered why i smoke as i can't stand that lingering smell on my clothes or hair. so when a friend suggested the e-lite G9 i thought i would give it a go, that was 5 weeks ago and i haven't looked back, there's no smell and health wise well alls i can say is that apart from the few days i felt dreadful detoxing from the 1000's of other chemicals found in a regular cigarette, i feel fantastic, my skin has a glow to it, i never thought i would ever find an alternative to a cigarette, i have not even wanted to have a cigarette will never go back to tobacco ever as this is 100% effective. just still addicted to nicotine, but i would prefer to have the e-lite for the rest of my life than to smoke those stinky cigarettes. hope this review was of help.

Bought a starter kit from a stall outside Euston Station in London just over 1 week ago. Since then, I've used it daily, and only had 4 "real" smokes (in the first 3 days) and have no intention of smoking normally ever again!!!

I agree with others comments that if you draw too hard then all you can taste is nicotine fluid (so don't draw too hard!!!) and yes, you need to recharge every 24-36 hours.

But aside from that, I'm happy (and no, I am not a salesman for them)
