I had an experience here that was pretty shocking. Rudest staff I've ever encountered. Unprofessional, to say the least. Just don't waste your time or money.

Total Transformation .
I had not been to Reef before and had not been pleased with other stylists or salons in the past . Nobody could seem to cope with my long bushy , naturally curly hair . It was also to heavy to keep tied up . My friend is a Reef client and she suggested I approached them to find out if there was a way they could remedy the mess on my head . After consultation an appointment was made . I was a bit nervous as I sat waiting for the scissors . As Im a slightly older lady I have silver hair that I am quite happy with but I had clung on to the frizzy curly legnth for too long. My hair was washed and a deep conditioner applied. The manageress worked a miracle as another lady served me coffee and biscuits . I felt pampered . My hair was into a long layered bob with a long side fringe . The person I dealt with explained how to blow dry it straight as she did a great job on it . Then she said because of the natural curl it would be easy to manage by allowing it to dry naturally and by using a curl enhancing product . She then asked if I would like to see it styled in a style with more volume . She lightly misted my hair and used a styler that gave me so much volume and enhanced the layers . I felt like Sophia Loren . I had seen her hair like this in a magazine . I am thrilled . Its great to be able to have three or four great styles from one expert cut.
And hard to believe that I was only charged the price of a wash and restyle despite all the advice I was given . I highly recommend this salon

They Try Hard !
Read reviews before booking. She was great on the phone. Booked me in instantly and offered Groupon price without a voucher.
I had high epectations. Hair cut was mediocre BUT the colour was not to my liking.High light OTT. I was told to try to get used to it and if I was still unhappy, she would remedy this? ?! NO! I drove straight to Royal Quays to get dye for a home remedy job.
I got dye on my chin by accident and that was glossed over - it will come off. I eventually got it off at home.
I got my nails done as well and that was super.
Staff are all very warm and friendly though.i have booked an appointment this morning with my regular hairdresser. False economy. If it sounds too good to be true- it usually is. I do wish them luck as they try very hard.

Great Experience For Mother And Daughter
I'm a mother of 4 and hold down a job as well as looking after my children and family . My awful hair was looking dead and had started to show signs of grey . My husband had given me money for my birthday
and I got the same off some friends so I decided to treat myself . My daughter and myself decided to pop into Reef Hair Design to book an appointment . The manageress assessed my hair and actually pointed out that my hair wasnt as bad as I thought . She said it was very fragile and dry though and needed a treatment so I agreed to call in the following day for Hair Botox Treatment . My hair was coloured light brown with blonde highlights and was a stunning shade and Hair Botox made it feel soft and silky . I loved the cut too . My hair had been straight for years but my hair was cut into layers and curled to give me a sassy big hair look. I loved the style and I must admit the cut colour and style is gorgeous and makes me look younger . The cost should have been £75.00 for colour , style and treatments but myself and my daughter were given 25 % off and told about the loyalty vouchers .
My daughter had a restyle and blow dry . Hers was lovely too and it was all down to the stylist.
It was a lovely friendly experience and my husband loves my hair . He says it makes me look younger too . I'm thrilled to bits . Recommended . Definate * * * * *

My Dry Dead Hair Looked Great After A Visit To Reef
I visited Reef Hair Design after a friend recommended it to me . We both have similar hair problems . We are both in our late forties and early 50s and our hair had become very dry and brittle . In my case I think it was because I had lightened it since I was in my late teens and my friend had dyed hers all colours . I loved my friends hair after she had been to Reef and her hair was still black but looked a very much more natural soft shade and it was very silky and she had no frizzy bits anymore . That was my worst problem . And also any colour I tried had gone on terrible . I used to always lighten my hair at home for years then I started going to hairdressers but they didnt seem to get it right and sometimes it was worse than when I did it at home myself .Before going to Reef I paid over £90 to have my hair highlighted to blend in the different shades and to have a deep conditioner put on as well because it was supposed to work wonders. I could've bought better out of bloody Poundstretchers ! It was a mess . The cut was uneven and the blow dry was terrible . I did complain and they offered me a freebie which I said no to and I had to fight to get my money back .
I found Reef Hair Design totally different. From the moment I walked in I was treated really well .The Manageress came to assess my hair and discussed the colour product ,shampoos, conditioning treatments etc available . We came to an agreement on what was best . She recommended a Fudge Number 7 shade in a darker blonde which would tone down my horrible colour. After that I was given a deep conditioning treatment and a excellent blow dry and my naturally curly hair finished with tongs . I was thrilled to bits as I only paid £24 via a Groupon voucher and I was given a loyalty card with 25% off my next 3 colours . I will definately be a regular client at Reef Hair Design and so will my friend . The girls here are very knowledgeable . Thank you Reef .

Appalling Customer Care
On my second visit to Reef, the first being a Groupon voucher, I did not want an all over colour again as I found that last colour too dark all over. I asked if colour could be pulled through my hair in highlights instead and The response I received was, "I don't know what you want" and when I aksed for help, ie. a colour chart and some examples of styles, I was told again, I don't know what you want and "I have another customer coming in, in half an hour", how rude and unhelpful and unprofessional! I found the hairdresser's manner brusque and unfriendly. I replied that I had booked the appointment and that I understood that this was my time! I had half a head of foils done and on arrival at home and closer inspection, realised my roots were not done. This wasn't explained and when I phoned the salon to discuss this, I was told roots were not included and was quoted another price to have these done, which would have proved a costly visit which I was unable to afford. Disappointed!

Groupon
Had a groupon discount, haircut and blow dry, 14 pounds.
Was a bit disappointed with the cut and service, don't know if this was to do with the groupon discount.
Don't know if the service was to do with this but wont be finding out.
