“Octasmart mattress topper double”

Purchased the Octasmart mattress £129… Purchased the Octasmart mattress £129 double. Arrived let it lay for 12 hours, tried to look inside zip to see quality of mattress, zip wouldn't budge stuck on the cover. Assumably they put a cover on so you can take it off and wash it otherwise why have a zipped cover! Sent photos to DORMEO as requested, got fobbed off. Then rang today 14th to say again it's not right. Mabel told me, "the cover isn't meant to come off, if you take the cover off it invalidates the guarantee, the zip is meant to be like that because the covers not meant to come off". I asked, but you should be able to wash it surely, "no, you can spot clean it if it gets dirty"! I am not happy with the customer services I received today. I asked for a part refund due to the zip, and was told, "no we can't give a partial refund, it's meant to be like that". Very disappointed, I looked into swapping it for a better mattress but I couldn't afford the extra £135 to do it. DORMEO, you are not very understanding at all! Date of experience: 14 April 2024

“Dormeo topper 5cm loss of thickness”

We bought 2 Octasmart Essential 5cm Single toppers in June 2022. After around 5 months one of the Two Mattresses had shrunk in the centre thicknes to around 1/2cm resulting in a very hard central area of theTopper. I (as the user) found that sleeping on it caused me a lot of pain in the Hips until I stopped using it. We got in contact with Dormeo (Ticket No 2091710)who replied saying that reduction in Thickness can reduce 5% to 15% would be classed as Normal and that unless we could supply further Technical types of proof there would be no further action. I must say they did refer us to product conditions which does state the above reasons for no further action which we must accept. However we still feel that the 'reduction' problem seems a very short length of time from Purchase. We now would not purchase any Dormeo products and cannot recomend them

“Faulty matttess”

We bought a super king sized octasprung mattress about 6 years ago. It had a 20 year guarantee. After 5 years,two things happened. My husband was bed bound for a couple of weeks, and I washed the mattress cover. The 'give' in the mattress on one side, and the appearance of big "slices' in the foam, made us realise that something was wrong. We contacted the salesman who contacted Dormeo. They sent an inspector out, who confirmed it was faulty. Having previously had (and loved) a memory foam mattress, when we bought a bigger bed, we bought this one because it was memory foam,and because it was sold as having an airflow system that enabled it to feel cooler. Not the case! There was no difference, albeit it was comfy to begin with. The other down side was that it could only be turned round and not over,as there is a different 'top and bottom' to the mattress. This restricts flexibility with usage. The salesman contacted Dormeo to arrange a replacement, but they would only replace 'like for like', which we didn't want The Terms & Conditions were tightly written so that we were able to not negotiate at all. We would have settled for two single mattresses as a replacement, or some financial compensation, but Dormeo clearly were not up for that at all. We couldn't even just get them to take the old mattress away without delivering another one!! Fortunately a charity has agreed to take the replacement. Would not recommend dealing with this company as they will NOT deal with you directly!.

“Dormeo Octaspring mattress”

Purchased a Dormeo Octaspring mattress and within a year it split. Contacted company and they replaced within a week. Have had the new mattress for a month and it has split in the same place!! I am a petite person so it's not me that is the issue here. Don't buy this mattress they are a waste of money. Currently waiting to hear from Dormeo to see what they are going to do about it!

“I didn't realise that foam could be this 'firm.'”

I waited 2 weeks for mine to be delivered, when it arrived I couldn't wait to go to bed. My first impression was that it felt rather hard, still, not to worry I thought, it just needs to 'settle in.' Now, 2 months later, and I have yet to get a decent night's sleep on it and I doubt I ever will, it's just too hard and unyielding...the old spring mattress, that I gave away, was far more comfy. A classic example of the folly of buying without first trying. £250 down the pan!

“dormeo mattress delivery extremely poor!I”

I ordered a dormeo single memory foam mattress after watching a TV advert.I was told to expect delivery within a few days.However I received an e mail informing me that due to high demand I would not take delivery until about 25 May.On 21 May I rang customer services to determine what day I could expect delivery.I was both shocked and astounded to be told to expect delivery as far away as earlyD July!When I enquired whether the payment had been taken from my account I was absolutely disgusted to discover payment had been taken on 2 May,a full two months before I could expect delivery.I regard this as completely unacceptable and am quite annoyed.Dormeo mattresses may or may not be of a high quality but if the company does not seriously improve its delivery or continue to fail to keep customers updated on delays to delivery, as well as having the audacity to take payment well before the mattress is dispatched,one thing thing is absolutely certain customers will become ex customers.In conclusion if I had forseen such an unpleasant experience I certainly would NOT have placed my order.It is the first time I have ordered from Dormeo and I can certainly assure you it will be the last! cannotreview the bed as I am still waiting for it to be delivered. Two and a half weeks order was placed, money taken from my account next day, still no bed. Customer service very poor, just says it is with the courier, It may be, just do not know.

“BEWARE OF MATTRESS THICKNESS & RETURN POSTAGE COSTS”

we purchased our mattress after seeing the great tv advert and reading about it online and within 1 day, we had to contact dormeo to ask why the mattress was only 3inces thick and when you sit on it you can feel the base of your bed. oh apparently we need to order the xl... so we asked to exchange & they said yes but you need to pay for return postage... which will be over £100 ill update you on what happens next BUT PLEASE PURCHASE WITH CAUTION they need to make it clear about the sizes and the return postage costs. they should do it for free as part of the 60 day guarantee....

“Customer Service Sucks”

The mattress might be 5 stars when it comes, I believe it is at least a 4 or I would not have ordered it, but the customer service leaves something to be desired. I ordered the 8500 on 3-21-13 and was told I would receive info on my order within 24 hours, so 36 hours or so later I called back and customer service informed me that I had to e-mail them first, that they could not send the info to my e-mail w/o me emailing them. I did this no reply, sent another email the next day no reply, just sent one again tonight (crossing my fingers). Will someone just e-mail me the info.

Orderd memory plus on 30/5/17 issued tracking no [ using yodel ] delivery services they say will be delivard on or by the 5/6/17 thats what yodal tracking states its now at preston depot been emailing dormeo my concerns of yodels reputation saked dormeo uk if they would tell yodel to return the item and send identical item out again using ups for instance can they do that paid with master card in full should be coverd uder section 75 if thing dont work out thanksHas anyone else had this experience?

Would a cover sheet diminish the beneficial effects of sleeping on Dormeo mattress? If the answer is yes, how could I clean the Dormeo mattress when necessary?

I have ordered a mattress from Dormeo and like several reviewers have been told it is out of stock and they will have some 'in a few weeks' when they will prioritise sending it. One reviewer asked for their money back but others did not say they asked for a refund, or if they ever got the mattress. I would like to know whether any of these complainants ever got the mattress and how long it took?
