I thought Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid was very good value for money. I think it cost me around £6, and it has lasted for about 6 months. For me, a good point (other than the price) was that you only have to use the tiniest bit - a little goes a long way, meaning it's really easy to put it on, and you never get tide marks around the jawline or hairline. It also smells nice which is always a bonus. It gives me great coverage, and a nice even skin tone.
The bad points I can say are that it feels quite greasy and heavy when you put it on, and it's very obvious that you're wearing make-up. After applying a finishing powder, it can feel quite cakey. I bought 2 different shades - ivory and nude - one for wearing when I have fake tan on, and one for everyday use. The paler one is fine, but the darker one (nude) I found to look a really strange colour when I wore it, it was almost yellow, which was fine for going out at night, but I'd never wear it during the day. It didn't give me breakouts, but I found I had to apply powder regularly after using it, because it did cause my skin to be a bit greasy.
Overall, I'd say this was a good buy for a tight budget. However, now that I've tried some different (some more expensive) brands, I'd probably not go back to it.

Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation Was The F
Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation was the first foundation that I have ever bought. Usually I'd just put a bit of concealer under my eyes, over any blemishes and then go over that with powder. So I've almost always steered clear away from foundation. Always because of the fear of becoming part of the 'orange girl' clan. But I saw this foundation advertised and thought what the heck I'll go to the boots website and see how much it is, I'm always willing to try new things. So that is exactly what I did. It was a bargain price at just £5 and I made sure to read lots of reviews about it before I clicked the BUY button. I was amazed, not one review I looked at had anything bad to say about this foundation, and quite right too. It is fantastic. I recommend you buy it because it is definitely value for money even for the full price at around £7.
